This paper presents the current situation and projected planning of the electricity generation sector for Iskandar Malaysia by implementing a model to optimise the cost, utilise the usage of available renewable energy sources, and achieve carbon dioxide reduction targets. This Mixed Integer Linear Programming model was developed with the main objective of minimising the total cost of electricity generation, taking into consideration energy demand, reserve margin, electricity generation, peak and base generation, resource availability, and CO2 emission. Data for the year 2013 were forecasted until 2025 to illustrate the analysis for this study, and are represented via four scenarios. This optimal model is capable of balancing types of fuel and switching coal plants to natural gas power plants. It also enhances the use of renewable energy (RE) to meet CO2 emission targets. The model is further integrated with several other considerations related to energy systems, such as suitability of power plants as peak or base plants, RE resource availability, intermittency of solar power, losses during transmission, fuel selection for biomass, decision to retrofit existing coal power plant to NG power plant, and construction lead time of power plants. The results for this study determined that the optimal scenario is Scenario 3 (CS3). This research proves that Iskandar Malaysia can reduce CO2 emission by 2025 via utilisation of RE. This model is generic and can be applied to any case study, which would be useful for assisting government policy-making.  相似文献

To evaluate the effect of total bowel decontamination (TD) and selective bowel decontamination (SD) in a non-protective environment clinical and laboratory data of children treated for acute leukaemia between 1983 and 1991 were analysed retrospectively. From 1983 until 1989 34 patients [18 acute non-lymphoblastic leukaemia (ANLL) patients, 16 acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) patients] received TD and 31 patients (8 ANLL patients, 23 ALL patients) received SD from 1987 until 1991. TD consisted of colistin sulphate, neomycin, cephaloridine and amphotericin B orally as well as Orabase and sterilized food, while the patients were nursed in a single room. SD consisted of oral colistin sulphate, neomycin and amphotericin B. Those patients with ANLL were nursed in a single room; patients with ALL were nursed in a single room during remission induction therapy only. All patients except those with ANLL receiving TD received Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia prophylaxis with cotrimoxazole. Because the two groups were heterogeneous for diagnosis and chemotherapy the occurrence of fever (central body temperature at least 38.5 degrees C) and major infections (septicaemia of infections of the deep tissues or organs) were registered during periods of neutropenia (neutrophilic granulocytes < or = 500/mm3 for at least 8 days). Patients on TD had 55 periods of neutropenia, patients on SD 80. Patients on TD had 89.1 periods of fever/100 periods of neutropenia whereas patients on SD had 56.3. Also patients on TD had 27.3 major infections/100 periods of neutropenia whereas patients on SD had 11.3. Major infections predominantly consisted of septicaemia caused by gram-positive bacteria. We conclude that, in this study, TD in a non-protective environment does not offer better protection against major infections that SD in patients with ALL or ANLL.  相似文献

This paper presents a framework of hand-eye relation for visual servoing with more precision, mobility, and global view. Mainly, there are two types of camera utilization for visual servoing: eye-in-hand and eye-to-hand configurations. Both have own merits and drawbacks regarding to precision and view limit that oppose each other. Based on both behaviors, this paper employs a mobile manipulator as the second robot to hold the camera. Here, the camera architecture is eye-to-hand configuration for the main robot, but mainly behaves as eye-in-hand configuration for the second robot. Having this framework, the drawback of each configuration is resolved by the benefit of the other. Here, the camera becomes mobile with more precision and global view. In addition, since there is no additional camera, the vision algorithm can be kept simple. In order to gain real-time visual servoing, this paper also addresses real-time constraints on vision system and data communication between robot and vision. Here, a hexagon pattern of artificial marker with a simplified image processing is developed. A grasp positioning problem is considered with position-based dynamic look and move visual control through object pose estimation. There is growing evidence that T-lymphocyte dysfunction contributes to the development of hypertension. IL-4 and IFN-gamma are important regulators of T-lymphocyte function. Therefore, we investigated the effect of neutralizing antibodies against IL-4 (alpha-IL-4) and IFN-gamma (alpha-IFN-gamma) on the development of hypertension in NZBNZWF1 hybrid compared to normotensive NZW control mice. Antibody-producing cells were encapsulated and injected intraperitoneally in mice at 6,8 and 10 weeks of age. This treatment resulted in significant levels of antibody in the serum. At 12 weeks of age blood pressure was recorded under anesthesia. Mean arterial blood pressure (MAP) increased in NZBNZWF1 hybrids between the age of 6 and 12 weeks. This increase was inhibited by treatment with alpha-IL-4, but was not affected by alpha-IFN-gamma. Treatment with alpha-IL-4 did not influence MAP in normotensive NZW or C57B1/6J mice. However, in these mice, treatment with alpha-IFN-gamma increases MAP. This increase in MAP by alpha-IFN-gamma was prevented by simultaneous treatment with alpha-IL-4. The present study demonstrates the influence of endogenous IL-4 and IFN-gamma on blood pressure.  相似文献
