Hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) displays are attractive given the potentially low manufacturing cost and ultimately low-temperature fabrication enabling using flexible substrates. Although the conventional two thin-film transistor (2-TFT) AMOLED voltage-programmed pixel circuit (VPPC) can provide high resolution and high yield, the 2-TFT VPPC is prone to image retention over time due to shift in the threshold voltage (VT-shift) of a-Si:H TFTs. This paper presents a new driving scheme that not only preserves the simplicity of the 2-TFT VPPC, but also demonstrates high uniformity. Experimental results indicate that the current drop in the new driving scheme is less than 11% after 15 days of operation whereas it is over 50% for the conventional driving scheme. Moreover, the new driving scheme is less sensitive to temperature variations due to an internal feedback mechanism. After a 70% change in the temperature, the current in the conventional driving scheme increases by as much as 300%. The equilibrium moisture contents of saffron (Crocus sativus L.) stigmas were determined experimentally using the standard gravimetric method at temperatures 30, 45 and 60 °C and water activity ranging from 11% to 83%. The sorption isotherm curves of saffron were sigmoidal in shape and decreased with increased temperature at constant relative humidity. Five selected isotherm models GAB, modified Henderson, modified Chung‐Pfost, modified Halsaey and modified Oswin were tested to fit the experimental isotherm data. Modified Oswin and modified Henderson models were found acceptable for predicting desorption moisture isotherms and fitting to the experimental data, respectively. The isosteric heats of desorption, determined from equilibrium data using the Clausius‐Clapeyron equation, were found to be a function of moisture content. The net isosteric heat of desorption of saffron varied between 1.38 and 5.38 kJ mol?1 at moisture content varying between 2% and 20% (d.b).  相似文献

This letter presents a novel pixel circuit for hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) active matrix organic light-emitting diode displays employing the short-term stress stability characteristics of a-Si:H thin film transistors (TFTs). The pixel circuit uses a programming TFT that is under stress during the programming cycle and unstressed during the drive cycle. The threshold voltage shift (V/sub T/-shift) of the TFT under these conditions is negligible. The programming TFT in turn regulates the current of the drive TFT, and the pixel current therefore becomes independent of the threshold voltage of the drive TFT.  相似文献

Abstract— Flexible AMOLED displays pose unique opportunities and challenges for a‐Si. Leveraging the existing a‐Si process infrastructure is the fastest and lowest‐cost route to flexible AMOLEDs. However, the displays must maintain high performance, long lifetimes, and high uniformity despite low‐temperature processes and mechanical stress. New pixel circuits and drive schemes shown here demonstrate that high‐performance flexible AMOLED displays are possible using well‐established a‐Si technology.  相似文献

A reliable driving scheme that can compensate for the inherent instability of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin film transistors (TFTs) is essential for implementation of large-area devices including displays and sensor arrays for bio-imaging applications. In particular, for high precision and high-resolution devices, the technique should be accurate and fast. A new driving scheme is presented that enables control of the DC and transient shift in the threshold voltage (V T ) and gate voltage of drive/amplifier TFT, while fulfilling the timing requirements for the different applications. The transient shift in the gate voltage has been known to contribute as much as 10% error in controlling the DC shift in the V T whereas it is less than 0.5% for the driving scheme presented here.  相似文献

Determination of the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators is an important issue in the theory of the OWA operator weights. In this paper, the main existing models for determining the OWA operator weights are outlined and the concept of the Bayesian entropy is introduced. Based upon the Bayesian entropy the maximum Bayesian entropy approach for obtaining the OWA operator weights is proposed. In this model it is assumed, according to previous experiences or from theoretical considerations that a decision maker may have reasons to consider a given prior OWA vector. Finally the new model is solved according to the prior OWA vector with specific level of orness comparing the results with other methods. The results demonstrate the efficiency of our model in generating the OWA operator weights. An applied example is also presented to illustrate the applications of the proposed model.  相似文献

In this paper, based upon the M‐Entropy measures, two new models for obtaining the ordered weighted averaging (OWA) operators are propoosed. In these models, it is assumed, according to available information, that the OWA weights are in a decreasing or increasing order. Some properties of the models are analyzed, and the method of Lagrange multipliers is used to provide a direct way to find these weights. The models are solved with a specific level of orness comparing the results with some other related models. The results demonstrate the efficiency of the M‐Entropy models in generating the OWA operator weights.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel parallel addressing scheme for voltage-programmed active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays which provides high precision recovery of the threshold voltage shift. As a result, the uniformity over the panel is significantly improved. Design of stable active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) displays comes with significant challenges that stem from the electrical property of the backplane materials, line parasitics in the matrix, and the opto-electronic property of the organic light-emitting diode (OLED). This paper reviews voltage and current programming schemes for AMOLEDs. Following a systematic review of pixel circuits, design considerations are examined for both current and voltage schemes with focus on stability and programming speed for both amorphous silicon (a-Si) and low temperature polysilicon (LTPS) pixel circuits. In particular, spatial parameter variations and stability, which hinder reliable operation of AMOLED display backplanes, are discussed. Analysis shows that while driving schemes reported hitherto maybe suitable for small and medium size displays, new schemes are critically needed for large-area high-resolution AMOLED displays.  相似文献
