Doppler sonography of the fetal descending aorta, renal artery, middle cerebral artery and umbilical artery in a population of 74 fetuses with a abdominal circumference below the fifth percentile of the reference limits were done. All fetuses were free from structural and chromosomal abnormalities. The pulsatility- and the resistance indices as well as the ratios between these indices from peripheral and cerebral vessels were calculated and correlated to the fetal distress. The measurement of the pulsatility index of the middle cerebral artery provided the best results in predicting the development of fetal distress. Better results were achieved by the use of ratios of pulsatility-indices of various vessels than by the examination of the vessels alone. Our results suggest the usefulness of the examination of the middle cerebral artery and their ratios compared to the renal artery.  相似文献

A study was conducted in 2009 to identify risk factors of Campylobacter spp. transmission from the digestive tract to the carcasses of standard broilers (slaughter age: 37 day, carcass weight: 1.3 kg on average). Counts of Campylobacter were performed on pools of 10 ceca and 10 neck-skins from 108 Campylobacter ceca-positive batches in three slaughterhouses. Technical and health data also was collected on the broilers: age, size, carcass weight (mean and standard deviation), condemnation rate, mortality rate and nature of treatment during the rearing period.Cecal counts varied from 4.8 to 10.2 log10 cfu/g. In seventeen batches (15.7%), the skin count was below the detection limit. In the 91 batches with positive neck-skin test results, the counts varied from 2.0 to 5.2 log10 cfu/g. Standard deviation of carcass weight, condemnation rate, slaughter rate and cecal count were significantly lower and growth rate higher in the 17 batches where neck-skin results were not detected positive. Multivariate analysis showed that batches with higher standard deviation of carcass weight were 5 to 9 fold more at risk of having detectable carcass contamination. Among the 91 positive neck-skin batches, only slaughter rate and cecal counts were found to have a significant but limited effect on the level of neck-skin contamination. As far as body weight homogeneity may be affected by disease, better health control can contribute to a reduction of the contamination of the broiler carcasses in Campylobacter carrier batches.  相似文献

The social and organisational aspects of agency have led to a good amount of theoretical work in terms of formal models and theories. However, the conception and engineering of proper organisational infrastructures embodying such models and theories are still an open issue. The introduction of normative concerns with requirements of openness and adaptation stresses this issue. The corresponding mechanisms for the current infrastructures appear to be not appropriate for managing distributed and open normative organisations. There is still the need of proper abstractions and tools to facilitate application agents taking part in the monitoring of the organisation on one hand, and in the adaptation and definition of the organisation in which they are situated on the other hand. In this paper we present and discuss ORA4MAS (Organisational Artifacts for Multi-Agent Systems), a proposed approach aiming at these issues. Based on the Agents and Artifacts meta-model (A&A), it introduces organisational artifacts as first class entities to instrument the organisation for supporting agents activities within it.  相似文献

Data cubes capture general trends aggregated from multidimensional data from a categorical relation. When provided with two relations, interesting knowledge can be exhibited by comparing the two underlying data cubes. Trend reversals or particular phenomena irrelevant in one data cube may indeed clearly appear in the other data cube. In order to capture such trend reversals, we have proposed the concept of Emerging Cube. In this article, we emphasize on two new approaches for computing Emerging Cubes. Both are devised to be integrated within standard Olap systems, since they do not require any additional nor complex data structures. Our first approach is based on Sql. We propose three queries with different aims. The most efficient query uses a particular data structure merging the two input relations to achieve a single data cube computation. This query works fine even when voluminous data are processed. Our second approach is algorithmic and aims to improve efficiency and scalability while preserving integration capability. The E-Idea algorithm works a´ laBuc and takes the specific features of Emerging Cubes into account. E-Idea is automaton-based and adapts its behavior to the current execution context. Our proposals are validated by various experiments where we measure query response time. Comparative experiments show that E-Idea’s response time is proportional to the size of the Emerging Cube. Experiments also demonstrate that extracting Emerging Cubes can be computed in practice, in a time compatible with user expectations.  相似文献

We have screened the EUROFAN (European Functional Analysis Network) deletion strain collection for yeast mutants defective in secretory/vacuolar pathways and/or associated biochemical modifications. We used systematic Western immunoblotting to analyse the electrophoretic pattern of several markers of the secretory/vacuolar pathways, the soluble alpha-factor, the periplasmic glycoprotein invertase, the plasma membrane GPI-anchored protein Gas1p, and two vacuolar proteins, the soluble carboxypeptidase Y and the membrane-bound alkaline phosphatase, which are targeted to the vacuole by different pathways. We also used colony immunoblotting to monitor the secretion of carboxypeptidase Y into the medium, to identify disruptants impaired in vacuolar targeting. We identified 25 mutants among the 631 deletion strains. Nine of these mutants were disrupted in genes identified in recent years on the basis of their involvement in trafficking (VPS53, VAC7, VAM6, APM3, SYS1), or glycosylation (ALG12, ALG9, OST4, ROT2). Three of these genes were identified on the basis of trafficking defects by ourselves and others within the EUROFAN project (TLG2, RCY1, MON2). The deletion of ERV29, which encodes a COPII vesicle protein, impaired carboxypeptidase Y trafficking from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. We also identified eight unknown ORFs, the deletion of which reduced Golgi glycosylation or impaired the Golgi to vacuole trafficking of carboxypeptidase Y. YJR044c, which we identified as a new VPS gene, encodes a protein with numerous homologues of unknown function in sequence databases.  相似文献

We have constructed a series of chimeric yeast/mouse and yeast/Bacillus subtilis ferrochelatase genes in order to investigate domains of the ferrochelatase that are important for activity and/or association with the membrane. These genes were expressed in a Saccharomyces cerevisiae mutant in which the endogenous ferrochelatase gene (HEM15) had been deleted, and the phenotypes of the transformants were characterized. Exchanging the approximately 40-amino-acid C-terminus between the yeast and mouse ferrochelatases caused a total loss of activity and the hybrid proteins were unstable when overproduced in Escherichia coli. The water-soluble ferrochelatase of B. subtilis did not complement the yeast mutant, although a large amount of active protein accumulated in the cytosol. Addition of the N-terminal leader sequence of yeast ferrochelatase to the B. subtilis enzyme targeted the fusion protein to mitochondria, but both the precursor and the mature forms of the enzyme were inactive in vivo and had residual activity when measured in vitro. An internal approximately 45-amino-acid segment located at the N-terminus of yeast ferrochelatase was identified, which, when replaced with the corresponding 30-amino-acid segment of the B. subtilis enzyme, caused the yeast enzyme to be located in the mitochondrial matrix as a soluble protein. The fusion protein was inactive in vivo and had residual activity in vitro. We speculate that this segment, which shows the greatest variability between species, is responsible for the association of the enzyme with the membrane.  相似文献

This work was conducted to study the influence of particle size and shape on the flow behaviour of semi-ripe plantain powders. An improved plantain variety (Big Ebanga), two hybrids (FHIA 21 and PITA 3), and a local variety (Corne 1, as reference material) were powdered by successive drying, milling, and sieving into three granulometric classes: unsieved (<500 µm), fine fraction (<180 µm; class 1), and coarse fraction (between 180 and 500 µm; class 2), thus differing in particle size distribution. Physical properties (water activity, particle size distribution, shape factors) were characterised and flow properties (basic flowability energy, compressibility, fluidisability, cohesion, etc.) were investigated using the FT4 powder rheometer. Convexity of unsieved and fine powders was slightly higher than for coarse powders. Fine powders of all plantain varieties were found to have the lowest water activity and the lowest flowability in unconfined conditions. Unsieved and fine powders presented a fluidised state at the end of the FT4 standard aeration test and their minimum fluidisation velocity was low, confirming the good fluidisability of these powders.  相似文献
