In the present research work, Friction stir processing (FSP) technique has been applied to develop a C70600 graded copper-nickel (CuNi) Surface metal matrix composite (SMMC) reinforced with and without addition of ZrCp. Rotational and traverse speeds were set as 1200 rpm and 30 mm/min, respectively. The fabricated SMMC were metallurgically characterized by using Optical microscope (OM) and Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM). The homogeneous distribution of ZrC particles and good interfacial bonding between matrix/reinforcement were observed via OM and FESEM microscopes. The microhardness of the CuNi/ZrC surface composite was observed by using microhardness tester at the cross section of the sample. The average higher microhardness of 148 Hv at CuNi/ZrC SMMC and lower microhardness of 115 Hv at FSPed CuNi was found. The Ultimate tensile strength (UTS) value was measured by using micro tensile testing machine. The UTS value of CuNi/ZrC composite and FSPed CuNi were observed to be 310 MPa and 302 MPa, respectively. The mode of fracture was also observed via FESEM. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) test was carried out to confirm the presence of CuNi & ZrC in the SMMC layer.  相似文献

Accumulation of pollutants in the aquatic system has a high impact on the reproductive physiology of crustaceans. The objective of the present study was to assess the possible histopathological effects of combined chlorpyrifos and cypermethrin (nurocombi) exposure on reproductive tissue in male freshwater crab Paratelphusa jacquemontii using light and electron microscopy. The testis of experimental crabs showed disorganization of testicular lobules, increased inters cellular space, necrosis, and cellular damage in both germinal cells and Sertoli cells. The treated vas deferens exhibited epithelial degeneration, misshaped spermatophores, decline in the number of spermatophores, and dehiscence of spermatophore wall. These clinical manifestations expressed in crabs following the exposure of nurocombi significantly reduce the testicular activity and substantially inhibits the seminal secretions, which ultimately lead to impairment of reproduction.  相似文献

Bulk organic intramolecular charge transfer nonlinear optical single crystal of 2-(2,4-dimethoxybenzylidene) malononitrile (DMM) with the sizes of 24?×?18?×?13 mm3 have been successfully grown by slow evaporation solution growth technique at 35 °C using acetone as the solvent. The lattice parameters of the grown DMM crystal was evaluated by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The optical transmittance (T) data was taken from the well-polished crystal of DMM, and cut-off wavelength (λ?=?483 nm) was identified by UV–Vis spectral studies. Thermal stability and melting point (145.78 °C) were studied with TGA–DSC analysis. The low value of the dielectric constant (εr) of DMM suggests that the crystal can be used in the microelectronics industry. The laser-induced damage threshold experiment shows that the grown DMM bulk crystal possess an excellent resistance to laser radiation with a high threshold up to 1.75 GW/cm2, much larger than those of several known organic and inorganic NLO materials. The DMM crystal exhibits positive optical non-linearity and reverse saturation absorption. It also exhibited a nonlinear refractive index (n2) in the order of 10?11 m2/W, a nonlinear absorption coefficient (β) in the order of 10?5 m/W, third order non-linear susceptibility (χ(3)) in the order of 10?5 esu and a second-order molecular hyperpolarizability (γ) in the order of 10?33 esu. All the above results indicate that DMM has a potential application as a useful NLO candidate.  相似文献

The present investigation is focused on studying the effects of various matrices with 1:3, 1:4 and 1:5 mortars and fibre types of sisal and coir on the bond behavior at various ages of curing, i.e., 24 h, 3 d, 7 d and 28 d. The other parameters included in the investigation are water/cement (w/c) ratio, sand gradation and embedment length of fibres. In addition, the type of failure of sisal and coir fibres for different mixes of mortars at various curing ages is also reported. From the results, it is seen that the bond strength is improving with respect to age of curing in case of sisal fibres, but decreases in case of coir fibres. The failure of fibres due to fibre fracture is observed in sisal fibres and fibre pullout is observed in coir fibres. The other varying parameters such as mortar mixes, sand gradation, w/c ratio and embedded length also showed significant effect on bond behaviour of sisal and coir fibre with the cement mortar mixes.  相似文献

The surface-modified Strychnos potatorum seeds (SMSP) were used as an effective low-cost adsorbent for the removal of cadmium ions from aqueous solution. SMSP was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopic analyses. The effect of operating variables such as solution pH, adsorbent dose, contact time, initial cadmium ions concentration and temperature on the removal of cadmium ions were studied in a batch mode adsorption operation. The optimum conditions for the adsorption of cadmium ions onto the SMSP were found to be: pH of 5.0, SMSP dose of 2 g/L, contact time of 30min, temperature of 30 °C for an initial cadmium ions concentration of 100 mg/L. Kinetic data were analyzed using the pseudo-first order and pseudo-second order kinetic equations, intraparticle diffusion model, Boyd kinetic model and shrinking core model. The characteristic parameters for each model have been estimated. Adsorption of cadmium ions onto the SMSP follows the pseudo-second order kinetic model. The rate-limiting steps in the adsorption process were found to be external and internal diffusion. Equilibrium data were well described by the Langmuir isotherm model than the Freundlich isotherm model, which yields a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 200 mg/g. Thermodynamic parameters such as standard free energy change, enthalpy change and entropy change were also estimated. The results show that the removal of cadmium ions by the SMSP was found to be spontaneous and exothermic.  相似文献

The present study explains the preparation and application of sulfuric acid–treated orange peel (STOP) as a new low-cost adsorbent in the removal of methylene blue (MB) dye from its aqueous solution. The effects of temperature on the operating parameters such as solution pH, adsorbent dose, initial MB dye concentration, and contact time were investigated for the removal of MB dye using STOP. The maximum adsorption of MB dye onto STOP took place in the following experimental conditions: pH of 8.0, adsorbent dose of 0.4 g, contact time of 45 min, and temperature of 30°C. The adsorption equilibrium data were tested by applying both the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. It is observed that the Freundlich isotherm model fitted better than the Langmuir isotherm model, indicating multilayer adsorption, at all studied temperatures. The adsorption kinetic results showed that the pseudo-second-order model was more suitable to explain the adsorption of MB dye onto STOP. The adsorption mechanism results showed that the adsorption process was controlled by both the internal and external diffusion of MB dye molecules. The values of free energy change (ΔG o) and enthalpy change (ΔH o) indicated the spontaneous, feasible, and exothermic nature of the adsorption process. The maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of STOP was also compared with other low-cost adsorbents, and it was found that STOP was a better adsorbent for MB dye removal.  相似文献

In our current digital life, social networks play a vital role to share the data. A group of hazards that related to the privacy parameters settings of the universal online social network like facebook. The settings corresponding to the user’s shared data as well as the data sharing with privacy. A middleware server can split the users with regular social relationships within a same group. The community detection methodology normally request for the full access to the detailed social communications within the users. It is very sensitive to share the personal information like personal images which cause the uncertainty in case of privacy. In this paper, we suggest an Adaptive Framework for privacy preserving in Online Social Networks. It also affords the flexibility in which a third-party server can frequently choose the related sub graph. The emotional detection is constructed with the neuro-fuzzy technique that the fundamental emotions are identified through the singular value decomposition and produces the output of 22 emotions. The experimental results provide the real-time dataset that demonstrate the non-aggregated analysis and practical suggestions highlight the interferences to encourage the secured online social network usage.
