Pulmonary sequestration is a relatively rare anomaly. The arterial supply usually is derived from the aorta or its major branches. We present a 65-year-old female patient with pulmonary sequestration receiving arterial supply from the right coronary artery, complicated with sick sinus syndrome.  相似文献

Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)A receptors are the sites of action for many antiepileptic drugs such as benzodiazepines and barbiturates. We report the results of molecular cloning of the gamma1-subunit from seizure prone DBA/2J and resistant C57BL/6J inbred mice, and analyses of nucleotide sequences and expression of the gamma1-subunit messenger RNA (mRNA) in DBA/2 and C57BL/6 inbred mice. The mouse gamma1-subunit complementary DNA (cDNA) shares 98% similarity with that of the rat at the level of amino acid sequence. Northern blot hybridization indicates that the gamma1-subunit mRNA is expressed predominantly in areas other than the cerebral cortex and cerebellum and shows little change with postnatal development. No differences have been found for the subunit between DBA/2 and C57BL/6 mice either for nucleotide sequence or for level of expression of the subunit's mRNA in whole brain by Northern blots at 3 weeks of age.  相似文献

The ITER availability objective is to reach for the machine operation in H phase an inherent availability of 60% and an operational availability of 32% assuming three 8 h plasma shifts operating mode and typically 8-month major shutdown after each 16-month experimental campaign. A functional analysis of the overall ITER machine from highest level functions down to main operational functions has been developed. The inherent availability (AI) objective of ITER has been defined on the basis of a bottom-up approach and using the results of reliability, availability maintainability and inspectability (RAMI) analyses. The ITER strategy in terms of operational availability (AO), Plasma pulse availability (AP) and fluence objectives is not only to improve reliability by optimizing the design but also to gain the maximum of operation time by decreasing the scheduled downtime for preventive maintenance and increasing the maintainability of the operational functions, thus decreasing the frequency and the time to maintain or/and to repair.  相似文献

Occurrence and prevalence of different bacterial enteric pathogens as well as their relationships with conventional (total and fecal coliforms) and alternative fecal indicators (host-specific Bacteroides 16S rRNA genetic markers) were investigated for various water samples taken from different sites with different degrees of fecal contamination. The results showed that a wide range of bacterial pathogens could be detected in both municipal wastewater treatment plant samples and in surface water samples. Logistic regression analysis revealed that total and human-specific Bacteroides 16S rRNA genetic markers showed significant predictive values for the presence of Escheriachia coli O-157, Salmonella, heat-labile enterotoxin (LT) of enterotoxigenic E. coli (ETEC), and heat-stable enterotoxin for human (STh) of ETEC. The probability of occurrence of these pathogenic bacteria became significantly high when the concentrations of human-specific and total Bacteroides 16S rRNA genetic markers exceeded 10(3) and 10(4) copies/100 mL. In contrast, Clostridium perfringens was detected at high frequency regardless of sampling sites and levels of Bacteroides 16S rRNA genetic markers. No genes related to Shigella spp., Staphylococcus aureus and Vibrio cholerae were detected in any samples analyzed in this study. Conventional indicator microorganisms had low levels of correlation with the presence of pathogens as compared with the alternative fecal indicators. These results suggested that real-time PCR-based measurement of alternative Bacteroides 16S rRNA genetic markers was a rapid and sensitive tool to identify host-specific fecal pollution and probably associated bacterial pathogens. However, since one fecal indicator might not represent the relative abundance of all pathogenic bacteria, viruses and protozoa, combined application of alternative indicators with conventional ones could provide more comprehensive pictures of fecal contamination, its source and association with pathogenic microorganisms.  相似文献

In recent years, motor drive systems for steel rolling mills have been steadily increasing in capacity. In particular, the development of three‐level NPC (Neutral Point Clamped) inverters is now focusing on the replacement of cycloconverters. In order to satisfy such a requirement, in this paper a multiple three‐level NPC inverter system is proposed. The configuration consists of two three‐level NPC inverters with the same configuration connected in parallel by current limiting reactors. In this case, the circulating current flowing between the two three‐level NPC inverters must be controlled to prevent a decrease in the maximum output capacity. In particular, a new method for control of the circulating current is a major topic of discussion. The method is based on space voltage vector‐based PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control for the three‐level NPC inverters and the circulating current is controlled by adjusting the output durations of the respective space voltage vectors. In this method the circulating current controller can be decoupled from the motor current controller. Therefore, it is possible to design the different controllers independently. In addition, the experimental results obtained using an induction motor show that the circulating current can be reduced to within 2% of the rated motor current when the motor current response exceeds 1000 rad/s. © 2001 Scripta Technica, Electr Eng Jpn, 136(2): 38–48, 2001  相似文献

We encountered 6 patients with bronchial asthma complicated by mediastinal emphysema. Their average age was 21 years. All were atopic and had histories of asthma in childhood. In 5 of the 6, mediastinal emphysema developed when the patients had upper respiratory infections. In 3, the mediastinal emphysema worsened. After insertion of subcutaneous drains to decrease intramediastinal pressure, the conditions of those 3 patients improved remarkably. The conditions of the other 3 improved after medication only. During the period of this study, 1.24% of all patients treated at Hiroshima Asa Citizen's Hospital for exacerbations of asthma had mediastinal emphysema.  相似文献

In this paper, the switching performance of Silicon on Depletion Layer CMOS (SODEL CMOS) is investigated with a view to realizing high-speed and low-power CMOS applications. Thanks to smaller parasitic capacitance, the propagation delay time (/spl tau//sub pd/) in SODEL CMOS has been improved by up to 25% compared to that of conventional bulk CMOS in five stacked nFET inverters at the same V/sub dd/. It is also confirmed that about 30% better power-delay product can be realized at the same /spl tau//sub pd/ with reduced V/sub dd/ in SODEL CMOS. In SRAM cell applications, SODEL CMOS shows high Static Noise Margin (SNM) of /spl sim/95 mV at V/sub dd/=0.6 V. Smaller bitline delay is expected and confirmed in SODEL CMOS SRAM by SPICE simulations. Latch-up immunity for /spl alpha/-particle irradiation in SODEL CMOS was also found to be comparable to that of conventional bulk CMOS. Therefore, SODEL CMOS device and circuit technology is expected to provide a better solution for low-power system-on-a-chip (SoC).  相似文献

We have investigated the effects of dibutyryl cAMP, forskolin, carbamylcholine chloride (carbachol), ionomycin, and 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA) on the expression of guinea pig pepsinogen mRNA in monolayer cultured gastric chief cells. After exposure of the cells to each of these compounds for 4 to 24 hr, and at 48 hr after primary culture, total cellular RNA was isolated using acid guanidium-phenol-chloroform and then was reverse transcribed to cDNA. Obtained cDNA was amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using primers detecting guinea pig pepsinogen mRNA and human beta-actin mRNA as an internal standard. The PCR products were separated and quantified using capillary electrophoresis. Dibutyryl cAMP and forskolin significantly increased pepsinogen mRNA, but carbachol, ionomycin, and TPA failed to increase that. These findings suggested that pepsinogen gene expression was up-regulated by intracellular cAMP, but not by intracellular calcium or protein kinase C in guinea pig chief cells.  相似文献

The Quantum Functional Device (QFD) project started in fiscal year (FY) 1991 as a ten-year project. The mission of this QFDs project is to develop novel devices for information processing which control quantum phenomena to realize low power consumption, and high-speed and multi-functional operation.
