This article presents the first phase of a research project whose purpose is to introduce a new form of collaboration and communication between the school and the family through an Electronic Booklet (EB). The EB was developed due to the increasing necessity of collaboration between the school and the family, promoting the teaching-learning process and educational success, supported by information and communication technologies. These conclusions and justifications were derived from a survey based in a questionnaire applied to guardians and teachers of several private and public Portuguese schools of the primary and secondary education level. Both groups – guardians and teachers stressed the importance of communication between school and family and expressed interest in the EB as a communication tool. The analysis of the survey results made possible the construction of an Electronics Booklet prototype.  相似文献

A recent alternative for replacing traditional hydrocarbons like gasoline, diesel, and natural gas, is the use of dimethyl ether (DME), which is more environmentally friendly. One of the ongoing challenges is to catalyze methanol dehydration for selectively producing the DME (2CH3OH → CH3OCH3 + H2O). It is established that the CuO catalyst over alumina performs the methanol dehydration, but the formation of by-products is the main drawback. For these reasons, we synthesized a CuO/γ–Al2O3 catalyst promoted with hematite aiming to enhance the activity toward DME at atmospheric conditions. The resulting bimetallic catalyst (CuO-Fe2O3/Al2O3) performed a 70% conversion at 290 °C, which is similar to other catalysts recently reported in the literature but done in harsh conditions. In addition, this bimetallic catalyst exhibited a 100% in selectivity toward the DME production. XPS spectra of the fresh and used catalyst suggested that the chemical oxidation states of Cu and Fe remain without change. After regenerating the catalyst at 600 °C for 2 h in air, it performed at a similar catalytic conversion, confirming the reusability of the as-synthesized material and reducing the environmental impact.  相似文献

Lipogenesis is the process by which fatty acids are synthesized. In metabolic syndrome, an insulin resistant state along with high plasma levels of free fatty acids (FFA) and hyperglycemia may contribute to the lipogenic process. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of oral administration of metformin on the expression of lipogenic genes and glycemic profile in mice fed with low‐carbohydrate high‐fat diet by evaluating their metabolic profile. SWISS male mice were divided into 4 groups (N = 7) that were fed with standard (ST), standard plus metformin (ST + MET), low‐carbohydrate high‐fat diet (LCHFD) and low‐carbohydrate high‐fat diet plus metformin (LCHFD + MET) (100 mg kg?1 diet) diets respectively. Food intake, body weight and blood parameters, such as glucose tolerance, insulin sensitivity, glucose, HDL‐c, total cholesterol, triglycerides, ASL and ALT levels were assessed. Histological analyses were performed on hematoxylin and eosin‐stained epididymal adipose tissue histological specimens. The expression levels of peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor (PPARγ), sterol regulatory element‐binding protein 1 (SREBP1), fatty acid synthase (FAS) and acetyl‐CoA carboxylase (ACC), were assessed by RT‐PCR. This study showed that metformin decreased adipocyte area, body weight and food consumption in obese animals when compared to the standard group. Furthermore, the expression of lipogenic markers in adipose tissue were diminished in obese animals treated with metformin. This data showed that oral administration of metformin improved glucose and lipid metabolic parameters in white adipose tissue by reducing the expression of lipogenesis markers, suggesting an important clinical application of MET in treating obesity‐related diseases in metabolic syndrome.  相似文献

The control of micro‐organisms responsible for pre‐ and postharvest diseases of agricultural products, mainly viruses and fungi, is a problem that remains unresolved, together with the environmental impact of the excessive use of chemicals to tackle this problem. Current efforts are focused on the search for efficient alternatives for microbial control that will not result in damage to the environment or an imbalance in the existing biota. One alternative is the use of natural antimicrobial compounds such as chitosan, a linear cationic biopolymer, which is biodegradable, biocompatible and non‐toxic, has filmogenic properties and is capable of forming matrices for the transport of active substances. The study of chitosan has attracted great interest owing to its ability to form complexes or matrices for the controlled release of active compounds such as micro‐ and nanoparticles, which, together with the biological properties of chitosan, has allowed a major breakthrough in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries. Another important field of study is the development of chitosan‐based matrices for the controlled release of active compounds in areas such as agriculture and food for the control of viruses, bacteria and fungi, which is one of the least exploited areas and holds much promise for future research. © 2013 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

We report the study of aurothiol nanoclusters using high-resolution electron microscopy, energy loss spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Auger spectroscopy, and microscopy. It is concluded that the sulfur atoms are located on the surface of the gold nanoparticles in both (100) and (111) microfacets. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy data show that there is a Au-Au bond as well as a Au-S bond. Auger depth profile measurements made by sputtering of the nanoparticles corroborates that the sulfur is located on the surface of the nanoparticle. Quantitative Auger analysis indicates a ratio Au/S between approximately 1.79 and 1.98.  相似文献

In this article, an ongoing research project held in the Computer Science department of the University of Vigo is described. Its main objective is to develop an interactive object-oriented environment, serving as a vehicle for learning object-oriented programming. It currently consists of a virtual machine, an assembler, compilers for two high-level programming languages, and an educational visual programming environment. Its main characteristics are (a) the support of prototype-based object orientation, which is a model of object orientation that actually wraps the class-based model; (b) the support for object persistence, which simplifies all input/output issues to the minimum, and (c) the availability of a new visual programming environment is an invaluable help. We the authors think that the combination of all of these possibilities, will lead to an interesting, useful tool that would be recommended for object-oriented teaching. The whole system has been successfully employed in a number of different courses, allowing students to concentrate on objects and their relationships from the very beginning, and thus helping them to achieve a high degree of knowledge about the object-oriented programming paradigm.  相似文献

This study aimed to elaborate a set of measures to control vitamin C losses in vegetables prepared at a food service (FS). Vegetables were randomly selected for vitamin C analysis by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) after delivery of raw material and during distribution for consumption of the food prepared. Some principles underlying the Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) were applied to identify the Nutritional Control Points (NCP) for vitamin C losses. A Nutritional Control Measure (NCM) was adopted for each NCP as well as the monitoring criteria. The vegetables were again collected for vitamin C analysis after adoption of the NCMs. The results indicated reduction of vitamin C losses with NCM adoption.  相似文献

5-Fluorouracil, an extensively used anticarcinogenic drug, was found to undergo a soft adsorption (i.e., no significant structural changes) on the metal surface of different Ag island films (35, 11, 8.7, and 6.5 nm thick). The 35 nm thick film provided the best SERS signal. The resistance of the Ag-complexed species to washing demonstrates the films' advantage over colloids and makes them very attractive for potential bio-applications.

Both deprotonated forms, which were previously detected on colloidal nanoparticles (50 nm diameter) at neutral pH, are also present in this case. However, the interaction mechanism of 5-FU species appears to be substrate dependent. While on colloidal nanoparticles they are orientated perpendicular or significantly tilted from the surface normal, on the much larger Ag-clusters of the island films (20-200 nm) they lie flat, attached through the carbonyl groups and the π-electrons. The charge-transfer mechanism significantly contributes to the rich information SERS reports for this system.  相似文献

Cheese produced with raw milk can be a risk to consumer health. It is known that lactic acid bacteria present in raw milk and in natural starters can produce antimicrobial compounds against some foodborne bacteria. This work aimed to evaluate the survival of Listeria innocua in Minas Traditional Serro cheese during cheese ripening. The cheeses were inoculated with 101, 102 or 103 CFU mL−1 of the bacterium and were analyzed for 60 days of ripening at 30 °C. It was observed that the time and the dose of bacteria inoculated affected (p < 0.05) the survival of L. innocua. Even when the lowest dose was inoculated, at the end of the 60 days, approximately 102 CFU mL−1 of L. innocua was detected in the cheese. The lactic acid bacteria present in the milk and in the natural starter were not sufficient to guarantee the absence of L. innocua in Minas Traditional Serro cheese even after 60 days of storage, as is required by Brazilian legislation.  相似文献
