Augmented reality (AR) is an educational medium increasingly accessible to young users such as elementary school and high school students. Although previous research has shown that AR systems have the potential to improve student learning, the educational community remains unclear regarding the educational usefulness of AR and regarding contexts in which this technology is more effective than other educational mediums. This paper addresses these topics by analyzing 26 publications that have previously compared student learning in AR versus non-AR applications. It identifies a list of positive and negative impacts of AR experiences on student learning and highlights factors that are potentially underlying these effects. This set of factors is argued to cause differences in educational effectiveness between AR and other media. Furthermore, based on the analysis, the paper presents a heuristic questionnaire generated for judging the educational potential of AR experiences.  相似文献

The effect of hard anodic oxide and plasma electrolytic oxide coatings on the fatigue strength of 7475-T6 aluminium alloy has been investigated. The coated aluminium alloy was tested using constant load uniaxial tensile fatigue machine. Hard anodising led to an appreciable reduction in the fatigue strength of 7475-T6 alloy of about 75% for a 60 μm thick coating. Further, plasma electrolytic oxidation resulted in reduction of the fatigue strength of about 58% for a 65 μm thick oxide coating. The decrease in fatigue strength of the hard anodic oxide coatings was associated with the stress concentration at the microcracks in the coating. The better fatigue performance of the PEO coatings was attributed to the development of the compressive residual internal stress within the coatings. The reduction in the fatigue strength of the PEO coatings as compared to the uncoated material was associated with the development of the tensile residual internal stress within the substrate. This may cause an early crack initiation in the substrate adjacent to the coating.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the robust stability analysis of a class of linear systems including multiple delays subjected to constant or time‐varying perturbations. The approach considered makes use of appropriate stability radius concepts (dynamic, static) and relies on a feedback interconnection interpretation of the uncertain system. Various computable bounds on stability radii are obtained that exploit the structure of the problem. Systems including perturbations on both system matrices and delays are also dealt with. Inoculation is one of the most important metallurgical treatments applied to the molten cast iron immediately prior to casting, to promote solidification without excessive eutectic undercooling, which favors carbides formation usually with undesirable graphite morphologies. The paper focused on the separate addition of an inoculant enhancer alloy [S, O, oxy-sulfides forming elements] with a conventional Ca-FeSi alloy, in the production of gray and ductile cast irons. Carbides formation tendency decreased with improved graphite characteristics as an effect of the [Ca-FeSi + Enhancer] inoculation combination, when compared to other Ca/Ca, Ba/Ca, RE-FeSi alloy treatments. Adding an inoculant enhancer greatly enhances inoculation, lowers inoculant consumption up to 50% or more and avoids the need to use more costly inoculants, such as a rare earth bearing alloy. The Inoculation Specific Factor [ISF] was developed as a means to more realistically measure inoculant treatment efficiency. It compares the ratio between the improved characteristic level and total inoculant consumption for this effect. Addition of any of the commercial inoculants plus the inoculant enhancer offered outstanding inoculation power [increased ISF] even at higher solidification cooling rates, even though the total enhancer addition was at a small fraction of the amount of commercial inoculant used.  相似文献

Two main chemistry systems of micro-inclusions can be identified in ductile iron: Ca-S-X and Mg-Si-O-X with the majority of the inclusions regardless of treatment type and location being of the second type, silicates. Laboratory investigations have shown that simple silicates were present in the matrix, while more complex silicates were present in conjunction with graphite, probably acting as graphite nucleation sites. In these more complex silicates, elevated levels of Al, Ca, Ce and La were typical. Comparing micro-particles embedded in iron matrix and graphite nodules of iron treated with pure Mg-metal and iron treated with MgFeSi alloy showed a higher amount of complex silicates with elevated Al-levels in the iron treated with MgFeSi. Further laboratory investigation was undertaken to explore which source of Al and which range of residual Al would have a favorable impact on the graphite nucleation in ductile iron. The work showed that a residual aluminum of 0.005 to 0.020 wt.% appears to be beneficial for improving ductile iron solidification characteristics without the incidence of pinholes. Greatest benefits were achieved when introducing the Al into the iron via an inoculant late during processing or via a pre-conditioner to the base iron. Al added via the MgFeSi provided less benefit. Some case studies illustrating the effect of Al in ductile iron are also presented, as Al-containing pre-conditioner or/and Al-bearing, FeSi inoculant application.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to investigate the morphology and function of a drug eluting metallic porous surface produced by the immobilization of poly lactide-co-glycolide microspheres bearing dexamethasone onto plasma electrolytically oxidized Ti–6Al–7Nb medical alloy. Spheres of 20 μm diameter were produced by an oil-in-water emulsion/solvent evaporation method and thermally immobilized onto titanium discs. The scanning electron microscopy investigations revealed that the size distribution and morphology of the attached spheres had not changed significantly. The drug release profiles following degradation in phosphate buffered saline for 1000 h showed that, upon immobilisation, the spheres maintained a sustained release, with a triphasic profile similar to the non-attached system. The only significant change was an increased release rate during the first 100 h. This difference was attributed to the effect of thermal attachment of the spheres to the surface.  相似文献

The corrosion behavior of a new, advanced Ti-20Zr alloy with α+β microstructure (determined by optical microscopy, XRD, and SEM) and very good mechanical properties (obtained from the stress-strain curve) is studied in this paper. The composition of the alloy native passive film was determined from a XPS analysis and the long-term corrosion resistance in undoped and doped states with 0.05M NaF artificial Carter-Brugirard saliva of different pH values, simulating the severe functional conditions of a dental implant, was analyzed by electrochemical methods. This alloy possesses an advantageous balance between good mechanical resistance and plasticity and Young’s modulus and exhibits more favorable electrochemical parameters and corrosion resistance than CP Ti due to its more resistant passive layer containing Ti2O3, TiO2, and ZrO2 protective oxides. After 1000 h of immersion in saliva, the protective properties of the alloy were enhanced due to the deposited surface layer that incorporated protective phosphates (shown by SEM and XPS).  相似文献

Biohydrogen production from synthetic wastewater as substrate was studied in anaerobic small scale batch reactors. Enriched anaerobic mixed consortia sampled from various environments were used as parent inocula to start the bioreactors. Selective enrichments were achieved by various physical and chemical pretreatments and changes in the microbial communities were monitored by metagenomic and molecular diagnostics approaches. Experimental data showed the feasibility of biohydrogen production using synthetic wastewater as substrate. The hydrogen generation capability of the different mixed consortia is clearly dependent on the pretreatment methods. The described approach opens the possibility for an alternative way towards simultaneous wastewater treatment and renewable energy generation.  相似文献

The control problem associated to a class of horizontal-axis fixed-pitch variable-speed low-power wind energy conversion systems, working in the partial load region, consisting in the energy conversion maximization, is approached here under the assumption that the wind turbine model and its parameters are poorly known. Using a new approach derived from the optimum seeking methods category, generically called Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), the proposed control solution aims at driving the average position of the operating point near to optimality. Instead of inducing sinusoidal search signals, the wind turbulence is here used as search disturbance. The high-speed shaft's average rotational speed is slowly adjusted using the Fast Fourier Transform processing of some available measures from the system as an estimate of the operating point's position/distance to optimality. Numerical simulations are used for preliminary checking the control law based on this estimation.  相似文献
