Membrane gas absorption technology is a promising alternative for CO2 removal from post-combustion coal-fired flue gases. This study examines an alternative which consists in absorbing carbon dioxide by ammonia aqueous solution in a membrane contactor to improve the capture processes and to intensify the gas–liquid transfer. Absorption measurements through a membrane contactor have been made. The influence of the material nature constituting the membrane and operating parameters on the capture efficiency has been studied. The potentialities of dense skin membrane contactors are discussed with regard to both increased CO2 mass transfer performances and mitigation of ammonia volatilization. The results have shown that it is possible to capture CO2 from ammonia through a membrane with capture efficiency greater than 90 %. The membrane limits ammonia losses but does not eliminate it. The experimental results are used to calculate an intensification factor of 5, which represents the comparison between the membrane overall absorption rate to that of the column.  相似文献

Reservoir models are essential if we need to clearly understand the fossil resources and, hence, to make better use of them. Feeding these models with physical properties on the basis of wells data is a key step in their construction. Line-support (LS) grid is the most popular grid in reservoir engineering, it is massively used for reservoir simulations. In the current methods used to populate with properties the LS grid of a reservoir unit, a Cartesian grid of equivalent size (in each direction), obtained by averaging the edge lengths, is first of all completed. The properties calculated in this way are then transferred as they are into the initial LS grid, because there is cell-for-cell correspondence. This leads to distortion of the Cartesian grid, making it fit the shape of the LS grid. This has the effect of altering calculations of correlation distances between well markers in geostatistical population simulations. Consequently, this primarily induces distortions on the simulated bodies. To resolve this problem, in this paper, we propose innovative methods for a “smooth” conversion from the LS grid of the structural space to the Cartesian grid of the geostatistical population space. The basic principle is to calculate the correlation distances between wells on the basis of “quasi-isometric” flattening of the stratigraphic unit LS grid in the population space. This same flattening technique is then used for inverse transfer of the properties from the population space to the structural space.  相似文献

Power-to-Substitute Natural Gas processes are investigated to offer solutions for renewable energy storing or transportation. In the present study, an original Power-to-SNG process combining high-temperature steam electrolysis and CO2 methanation is implemented and simulated. A reference process is firstly defined, including a specific modelling approach of the electrolysis and a methanation modelling including a kinetic law. The process also integrates a unit to clean the gas from residual CO2, H2 and H2O for gas network injection. Having set all the units, simulations are performed with ProsimPlus 3™ software for a reference case where the electrolyser and the methanation reactors are designed. The reference case allows to produce 67.5 Nm3/h of SNG with an electrical energy consumption of 14.4 kW h/Nm3. The produced SNG satisfies specifications required for network injection. From this reference process, two sensitivity analyses on electrolysis and methanation working points and on external parameters and constraints are considered. As a main result, we observe that the reference case maximises both process efficiency and SNG production when compared with other studied cases.  相似文献

The functioning of an electrostatic precipitator in the light of previous studies on various regimes of electroconvection in both parallel and divergent electric fields is examined. Coupling between velocity and charge density fluctuations for both ions and charged particles is discussed. It is shown that for a certain diameter range of the particles, their nondimensional mobility parameter takes values similar to those characterizing ions in liquids. Common Anabaena, Calothrix, and Leptolyngbya cyanobacteria are shown to form Au, Ag, Pd, and Pt nanoparticles of well-controlled size. These nanoparticles are synthesized intra-cellularly, and naturally released in the culture medium, where they are stabilized by algal polysaccharides, allowing their easy recovery. The size of the recovered particles as well as the reaction yield is shown to depend on the cyanobacteria genus. Investigations of nanoparticle formation indicate that the intracellular nitrogenase enzyme is responsible for the metal reduction but that the cellular environment is involved in the colloid growth process.  相似文献

Smart spaces have attracted considerable amount of interest over the past few years. The introduction of sensor networks, powerful electronics and communication infrastructures have helped a lot in the realization of smart homes. The main objective of smart homes is the automation of tasks that might be complex or tedious for inhabitants by distracting them from concentrating on setting and configuring home appliances. Such automation could improve comfort, energy savings, security, and tremendous benefits for elderly persons living alone or persons with disabilities. Context awareness is a key enabling feature for development of smart homes. It allows the automation task to be done proactively according to the inhabitant’s current context and in an unobtrusive and seamlessly manner. Although there are several works conducted for the development of smart homes with various technologies, in most cases, robust. However, the context-awareness aspect of services adaptation was not based on clear steps for context elements extraction (resp. clear definition of context). In this paper, we use the divide and conquer approach to master the complexity of automation task by proposing a hybrid modular system for context-aware services adaptation in a smart living room. We propose to use for the context-aware adaptation three techniques of machine learning, namely Naïve Bayes, fuzzy logic and case-based reasoning techniques according to their convenience.  相似文献

Flexural behavior and serviceability performance of 24 full-scale concrete beams reinforced with carbon-, glass-, and aramid-fiber-reinforced-polymer (FRP) bars are investigated. The beams were 3,300?mm long with a rectangular cross section of 200?mm in width and 300?mm in depth. Sixteen beams were reinforced with carbon-FRP bars, four beams were reinforced with glass-FRP bars, two beams were reinforced with aramid-FRP bars, and two were reinforced with steel, serving as control specimens. Two types of FRP bars with different surface textures were considered: sand-coated bars and ribbed-deformed bars. The beams were tested to failure in four-point bending over a clear span of 2,750?mm. The test results are reported in terms of deflection, crack-width, strains in concrete and reinforcement, flexural capacity, and mode of failure. The experimental results were compared to the available design codes.  相似文献

This paper presents a summary of technical-economic studies. It allows evaluating, in the French context, the production cost of electricity derived from coal and gas power plants with the capture of CO2, and the cost per tonne of CO2 avoided. Three systems were studied: an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC), a conventional combustion of Pulverized Coal (PC) and a Natural Gas Combined Cycle (NGCC). Three main methods were envisaged for the capture of CO2: pre-combustion, post-combustion and oxy-combustion.For the IGCC, two gasification types have been studied: a current technology based on gasification of dry coal at 27 bars (Shell or GE/Texaco radiant type) integrated into a classical combined cycle providing 320 MWe, and a future technology (planned for about 2015–2020) based on gasification of a coal–water mixture (slurry) that can be compressed to 64 bars (GE/Texaco slurry type) integrated into an advanced combined cycle (type H with steam cooling of the combustion turbine blades) producing a gross power output of 1200 MWe.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to assess the conversion of a natural gas combined cycle power plant (NGCC) using an advanced gas turbine (GE9H) for CO2 pre-combustion capture. The natural gas is reformed in an auto-thermal reformer (ATR) either with pure oxygen or with air. After water-shift conversion of CO into CO2 and physical CO2 recovery, the synthesis gas contains a high fraction of H2. It is diluted with N2 and steam to lower its low heating value (LHV) for NO X emission control. Oxygen purity and reforming pressure have little impact on the performances. High-pressure reforming is preferred to reduce the process size. Air reforming results in a slightly higher efficiency but in a bigger process too. The CO2 recovery rate has a big impact on the power plant efficiency since a lot of steam is required to lower the heating value (LHV) of the synthesis gas leaving the recovery process. Two values of LHV have been assessed. Steam consumption for natural gas reforming and synthesis gas dilution are the main consuming elements. An erratum to this article can be found at  相似文献
