This Review article ponders core/shell structured nanoparticles that can be prepared with features that combine properties of different materials, including ligands that enhance their biocompatibility. These nanocomposites are not classified in terms of synthesis, but rather by how these features are distributed in the final morphology, attending to connected or isolated materials that end up in interacting or not‐interacting functionalities. In particular, we have focused on magnetic core/shell‐structured particles with a directly connected, coupled, or isolated second functionality. The current progress on methods in colloidal solution that have allowed the great development of these multifunctional magnetic and active spheres on biological and biomedical fields is reported.  相似文献

This paper is aimed at presenting a simple yet effective procedure to implement a mesh‐independent p‐orthotropic enrichment in the generalized finite element method. The procedure is based on the observation that shape functions used in the GFEM can be constructed from polynomials defined in any co‐ordinate system regardless of the underlying mesh or type of element used. Numerical examples where the solution possesses boundary or internal layers are solved on coarse tetrahedral meshes with isotropic and the proposed p‐orthotropic enrichment. Wind energy conversion systems (WECS) produce fluctuating output power, which may cause voltage fluctuations and flicker. Flicker assessment in networks may be difficult since its evaluation requires long computing time and special procedures to calculate the flicker severity index, Pst. In this paper, a frequency domain method to study flicker propagation is presented. This method is based on propagation of frequency components from WECS output currents throughout the grid. In this way, a fast flicker analysis in a network of any size can be performed. Also, an algorithm for flicker measurement in the frequency domain, which allows Pst calculation, is proposed. Several study cases have been performed, and results have been compared with time domain simulations, showing good agreement between them  相似文献

Social dominance orientation (SDO) has been proposed as an important variable in the explanation of prejudice. We distinguish between three conceptualizations of SDO: SDO as a personality trait (personality model), SDO as a moderator of the effects of situational variables (Person X Situation model), and SDO as a mediator of the effect of social position on prejudice (group socialization model [GSM]). Four studies (N = 1,657) looking at the relations between social positions, SDO, and prejudice in a natural setting and in a laboratory setting provide strong support for the GSM. In contrast to previous correlational findings, there is evidence of a cause (dominant social position), an effect (prejudice increases), and a mediator (SDO). Thin layers of silver and titanium were deposited onto commercial Ti–48Al particles by magnetron sputtering prior to their consolidation by hot isostatic pressing and subsequent heat treatment. Based on picnometry and electron probe microanalysis results, average values of 1.5 and 2.5 at.%, respectively, were obtained for the silver and titanium contents in the coated particles. The surface modified Ti–48Al particles exhibited improved sintering ability than the unmodified ones. The consolidated samples have duplex microstructures formed by γ-TiAl and γ-TiAl + α2-Ti3Al grains. Ag-rich nanoprecipitates were detected in the microstructure of the compacted Ti-48Al + Ag sample. The coatings are no longer visible at the grains boundaries after a subsequent homogenization heat treatment at 1200°C. The highest values of hardness and Young’s modulus were obtained for the Ti–48Al + Ag sample, associated with a higher density and a lower percentage of pores.  相似文献

This paper presents experimental results obtained in temperature adaptive control of a heating vessel. A non-linear model of the process showed that the feed flow rate causes severe variations in time constant and process gain. An extended horizon self-tuning controller and two different model reference adaptive controllers were tested. The influence of design parameters on control performance for each algorithm was assessed. The control system was disturbed with load and setpoint changes.  相似文献

The influence of noncompetitive (MK-801), competitive (AP-7) and the antagonist of polyamines site of NMDA receptor (arcaine) on the central activity of angiotensin II (A II) was studied. The open field test, conditioning of active avoidance responses (CARs) and passive avoidance situation was used to investigate learning and memory in rats. All used antagonists decreased beneficial action of A II on these processes.  相似文献

Fresh persimmons were subjected to two different processes: sun-drying during 1 month and dehydration at 60 °C during 12 h. To assess the effect of this process on nutritional and health-related properties of persimmons dietary fibers, minerals, trace elements, polyphenols and the total radical scavenging activities (TRSAs) were determined before and after processing. It was found that the contents of dietary fibers, minerals and trace elements in fresh and dried persimmons fruits were comparable. Total polyphenols in fresh persimmons was higher than in dried fruits (1.3 vs. 0.9 and 0.8 mg/100 g FW, respectively) and percentage of inhibition was higher than in dried fruits (70% vs. 59% and 55% and 58% vs. 53% and 46% for 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2′-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) [ABTS] radicals, respectively (P>0.05 in all cases). In conclusion: (1) the differences in the contents of dietary fibers, minerals and trace elements in fresh and dried persimmons are not significant; (2) the contents of polyphenols and the level of the TRSA are higher in fresh persimmons than in dried fruits; however, both variables are also high in dried persimmons; (3) when fresh fruits are not available, proper dried persimmons could be used as a valuable substitute.  相似文献
