The effect produced by different quantities of sunflower seed oil on some iodine metabolic rates was studied in experiments on 44 albino male-rats. Rations containing 27 and 54 per cent (in terms of calorific value) of sunflower seed oil were found to have an adverse effect on the condition of the thyroid gland. Rations with the said quantities of vegetable oil inhibit the mechanisms governing the transformation of inorganic and hormonally inactive organic compounds of iodine in its hormonally active forms. With the iodine content in the diet in an amount of 40-80 microgram this circumstance, however, does not have any essential effect on the level of the iodine binding by the thyroid tissue proteins and blood serum. 相似文献

A new sort of dietetic bread has been developed with a 4-fold higher content of food cellulose fibers and a 25% lower fuel value. Such effect was achieved due to the use of qualitatively different sources of food fibers--wheat bran and methyl cellulose (MLI-100). The influence of the following food fibers: wheat bran, citrus pectin, microcrystallized cellulose, methyl cellulose, was studied in experiments on male Wistar rats. Basing on the data obtained it has been suggested that the diets with pectin are conducive to secretion of general lipids and sterols from the liver. Comparison of the action of natural food fibers (wheat bran, pectin) with artificial fibers (microcrystallized cellulose, methyl cellulose) has not revealed any changes in the blood cholesterol level. Powder precursors in the ZrO2-CeO2-Al2O3 and ZrO2-Sc2O3-Al2O3 systems are prepared by the sol-gel synthesis. It is revealed that the electrical conductivity of the sample doped with scandium
oxide is higher than the electrical conductivity of the sample doped with cerium oxide despite the higher content of the nonconducting
phase Al2O3 (corundum). The thermal expansion coefficients are determined for all the ceramic samples under investigation. It is established
that the Al2O3 dopant affects the thermal expansion coefficient. The ceramic materials studied can be used as solid-electrolyte sensors.

The spectrometric characteristics of nuclear radiation detectors based on 4H-SiC films with iondoped p +-n junctions have been studied for the first time in a temperature range from 25 to 375°C. The experiments with 5.8-MeV α particles were performed in a high-temperature chamber of special design. Factors related to the structural characteristics of both the initial silicon carbide and the ion-doped p +-n junctions are established, which limit from above the temperature interval of detector operation in a spectrometric regime. An increase in the efficiency of the diffusion-drift charge transport with increasing temperature has been observed, which is explained by an increase in the diffusion length of minority carriers. 相似文献
