石油价格机制改革之对策

文章在阐述我国石油价格形成机制的演变过程的基础上,针对我国目前石油定价机制所导致的诸如石油价格变动滞后以及由此带来的市场信号失灵等问题思考了相应的改革对策,提出了调整政府价格管理职能、建立平等竞争的市场规则、完善稳定油价的调控体系以及加快建立石油战略储备等7个方面的建议。     

石油企业文化建设中的问题分析

我国石油企业在几十年艰苦创业的过程中,形成了具有丰富内涵的石油企业文化,为企业的发展提供了极大的精神动力。但不可忽视的是,在石油企业文化建设中也存在诸如对企业文化建设主体认识产生偏差、把企业文化建设局限于思想政治工作、企业文化和企业战略缺乏互动等方面的问题。文章对这些问题进行了分析,并提出了相应对策。     

The factorial structure of the Dutch translation of the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems: A test of the long and short versions.

In this article, the authors study the factorial structure of 2 versions (64 items and 32 items) of the Dutch translation of the Inventory of Interpersonal Problems (IIP; L. M. Horowitz, L. E. Alden, J. S. Wiggins, & A. L. Pincus, 2000) in both a clinical sample (n = 382) and a student sample (n = 287). First, the authors test whether both inventories are constituted by correlated uni-dimensional subscales, and they conclude that this is true only for the short version. Second, the authors study whether the correlations between the subscales follow a circumplex pattern. This proves to be true for both versions. Reviews the books Sexual behavior in the human female by A. C. Kinsey et al. (see record 1954-05526-000); Sex ethics and the Kinsey reports by S. Hiltner (1953); and Twenty-five years of sex research. History of the National Research Council Committee for Research in Problems of Sex, 1922-1947 by Sophie D. Aberle, and G. W. Corner (see record 1954-02151-000). Concerning the first book, this review merely points to the facts that have been marshalled in the enormous range of individual differences in reported capacity, or rather claimed performance, and to the extensive detailed information set forth in Part III entitled "Comparisons of Female and Male." The sex difference shown by the fact that in 30 out of 33 items the male, on the average, is more readily affected by psychological stimuli is worthy of special note. This finding provides a wealth of insight for better understanding of the psychology of human males and females. Hiltner's work will aid many clergymen to assimilate the findings with a minimum of trauma. It should enable them to do a better job of understanding and counseling their parishoners, young or old. The significance of Kinsey's work and of Hiltner's interpretation can be fully understood only by studying the magnificent achievements of the NRC Committee for Research in Problems of Sex. Aberle and Corner's report gives due credit to Robert M. Yerkes who was chairman from 1922 to 1947. Yerkes' foresight, initiative, tact, courage, and everlasting persistence were primarily responsible for this development. The Committee courageously supported research on all aspects of sex in all species from paramecium to man. Thus psychology has moved from an intellectualistic preoccupation with man as a rational being to a more realistic understanding of man as a behaving organism in all of his manifold adjustments. The author explains the need for and necessity of information for running a complex multinational company like Philips. He gives a short overview of the organization and structure of Philips, employing almost 400,000 people, and its world-wide activities. He deals with specific aspects and problems regarding the production, storage and distribution of a large range of Philips products, i.e., how this huge task was tackled in the early EDP days, and what difficulties and troubles had to be overcome. Gradually a new generation of managers has developed who are able to handle the possibilities of computers and automated information systems.However, the multinational Philips covers thousands of separate units which cannot operate on their own. For business-information exchange they have to communicate in a well-defined language based on stadardized data elements. Data-bases, in the future interconnected by a world-wide communications network, contain data that represent valuable and indispensible information for the Philips company: a real corporate asset.With some reserve the writer dares to make predictions about the future of automation, yet mentions some clear trends and draws interesting conclusions.

Crack and flaw identification in elastodynamics using Kalman filter techniques

Filter-driven optimization based on the extended Kalman filter concept is used here for the numerical solution of crack and flaw identification problems in elastodynamics. The mechanical modeling of the studied two-dimensional problem, which includes the effect of unilateral contact along the sides of the crack, is done with the help of the boundary element method. The effect of various dynamical test loads and the applicability of this method for crack and defect identification in disks are investigated.
