The transient operation of a new multiwavelength pyrometer based on a dispersing prism and a Si photodiode array is presented. After calibration, transient tests were performed using a tungsten strip lamp, supplied by a current pulse of 0.3-s duration. Measurements were carried out with a data acquisition system consisting of a FET multiplexer, a DVM (14 bit, 100 kHz), and a buffer memory (64 kbytes). Pyrometer signals are processed off-line, and temperature vs time is displayed. With the present arrangement, temperature measurements at 20 wavelengths may be performed with 200s resolution. Most of the algorithms for blind separation/extraction and independent component analysis (ICA) can not separate mixtures of sources with extremely low kurtosis or colored Gaussian sources. Moreover, to separate mixtures of super- and sub-Gaussian signals, it is necessary to use adaptive (time-variable) or switching nonlinearities which are controlled via computationally intensive measures, such as estimation of the sign of kurtosis of extracted signals. In this paper, we develop a very simple neural network model and an efficient on-line adaptive algorithm that sequentially extract temporally correlated sources with arbitrary distributions, including colored Gaussian sources and sources with extremely low values (or even zero) of kurtosis. The validity and performance of the algorithm have been confirmed by extensive computer simulation experiments.  相似文献

The paper presents new experimental measurements of the thermal conductivity of hydrogen. The ortho-para compositions covered are normal, near normal, para, and para-rich. The measurements were made with a transient hot wire apparatus. The temperatures covered the range from 78 to 310 K with pressures to 70 MPa and densities from 0 to a maximum of 40 mol · L–1. For compositions normal and near normal, the isotherms cover the entire range of pressure, and the temperatures are 78, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 294, 300, and 310K. The para measurements include eight isotherms at temperatures from 100 to 275 K with intervals of 25 K, pressures to 12 MPa, and densities from 0 to 12 mol · L–1. Three additional isotherms at 150, 250, and 275 K cover para-rich compositions with para percentages varying from 85 to 72%. For these three isotherms the pressures reach 70 MPa and the density a maximum of 30 mol · L–1. The data for all compositions are represented by a single thermal conductivity surface. The data are compared with the experimental measurements of others through the new correlation. The precision (2) of the hydrogen measurements is between 0.5 and 0.8% for wire temperature transients of 4 to 5 K, while the accuracy is estimated to be 1.5%.  相似文献

The detection of flaws by ultrasonic echography becomes difficult when the flaw is at a shallow depth. The time delay between the interface and flaw echos is less than the width of the impulse-response time of the transducer, and the flaw echo generally has an amplitude much smaller than the dominating interface echo. When the surface is not too rough, the interface echo can be assumed to be known, and its comparison with the signal interface and flaw echo permits the detection of the flaw. In this article it is shown that signal processing techniques allow small flaws to be detected very close to the surface (0.5 mm). Two methods are proposed, the first one is based on the minimization of the mean-square error, and the second on the spectral substraction of the two echos.This work has been supported by the French Ministry of Defense.  相似文献

The bacterial component of marine biofilms plays an important role in the induction of larval settlement in the polychaete Hydroides elegans. In this study, we provide experimental evidence that bacterial metabolites comprise the chemical signal for larval settlement. Bacteria were isolated from biofilms, purified and cultured according to standard procedures. Bacterial metabolites were isolated from spent culture broth by chloroform extraction as well as by closed-loop stripping and adsorption of volatile components on surface-modified silica gel. A pronounced biological activity was exclusively observed when concentrated metabolites were adsorbed on activated charcoal. Larvae did not respond to waterborne metabolites when prevented from contacting the bacterial film surface. These results indicate that an association of the chemical signal with a sorbent-like substratum may be an essential cofactor for the expression of biological activity. The functional role of bacterial exopolymers as an adsorptive matrix for larval settlement signals is discussed.  相似文献

为了解决传统光幕靶靶面小、灵敏度低、结构复杂等问题,分析了一种镜头式光幕靶的工作原理,搭建了相应的原理样机,设计了一种可监测镜头式光幕靶状态、具有程控放大功能的信号处理电路.经过气枪实弹测试验证,当电路设置为低灵敏度状态时,对于弹径为5mm、过幕点距离镜头1m处的弹丸,信号处理电路输出信号幅值达到2V以上,噪声信号控制在0.5V以内.  相似文献
