Ethylene vinyl acetate rubber (45% vinyl acetate content, EVA‐45) and organomodified clay (12Me‐MMT) composites were prepared by solution blending of the rubber and the clay. A combination of X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy studies showed that the composites obtained are on the nanometer scale. The measurements of the dynamic mechanical properties for different compositions over a temperature range (?100 to +100°C) showed that the storage moduli of these rubber–clay nanocomposites are higher above the glass to rubber transition temperature compared to the neat rubber. Ramie yarns were treated with various concentrations of NaOH at room temperature and subsequently crosslinked with 1,2,3,4‐butanetetracarboxylic acid (BTCA). The microstructure and tensile properties of the treated yarns were characterized. X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and FTIR were used to study the crystalline structure of the resultant ramie yarns. The results showed that the maximum change in the structure of the alkali‐modified ramie took place at 16% NaOH, which would completely transform cellulose I to cellulose II. At the same time, the crystallinity index and fiber orientation decreased to the minimum value while the absorption properties were enhanced. The average degree of polymerization (DP ) of the treated ramie yarns slightly decreased after NaOH treatment. Tensile properties including tenacity, breaking elongation, and modulus of the treated yarns were also investigated. The interface area between the bubble and emulsion phases in a fluidized catalyst bed is one of the important parameters used to analyze and design the fluidized bed reactor. We used a fast‐scanning X‐ray CT system to observe the bubble shape and structure. We then obtained the transient 2‐dimensional cross sectional gas‐phase distribution in a fluidized catalyst bed. Using image‐processing techniques, pseudo 3‐dimensional images of the bubbles were reconstructed. The bubble structure was studied based on the 3‐dimensional images and the previously obtained results in a 2‐dimensional fluidized bed. It was found that the bubble shape was not spherical but complicated, and that the bubbles ascending in a fluidized catalyst bed consisted of some smaller bubbles.  相似文献

为了减小光纤光栅磁场传感器中线性双折射和入射起偏角对系统稳定性的影响,提高测量系统的准确性,提出一种减小线性双折射和起偏角大小对系统输出影响的设计方案。研究了基于法拉第效应的光纤光栅磁场传感器系统,得出系统输出电压与磁场的关系式,并通过降低线性双折射和确定入射起偏角改善了系统的输出特性。仿真表明:该方法可以有效抑制测量过程中线性双折射造成的非线性关系,从而提高磁场测量的稳定性。  相似文献

用紫外吸收光谱法同时测定粗蒽中菲、蒽的含量,结果表明,采用环已烷作溶剂,吸收波长分别为293nm和357nm,在0.004~0.04g/L范围内,菲、蒽符合线性关系。该方法操作简单、测定迅速、结果准确。  相似文献

Nanocomposites of epoxy resin with montmorillonite clay were synthesized by swelling of different proportions of the clay in a diglycidyl ether of bisphenol‐A followed by in situ polymerization with aromatic diamine as a curing agent. The montmorillonite was modified with octadecylamine and made organophilic. The organoclay was found to be intercalated easily by incorporation of the epoxy precursor and the clay galleries were simultaneously expanded. However, Na‐montmorillonite clay could not be intercalated during the mixing or through the curing process. Curing temperature was found to provide a balance between the reaction rate of the epoxy precursor and the diffusion rate of the curing agent into the clay galleries. The cure kinetics were studied by differential scanning calorimetry. The exfoliation behavior of the organoclay system was investigated by X‐ray diffraction. Thermogravimetric analysis was used to determine the thermal stability, which was correlated with the ionic exchange between the organic species and the silicate layers. Recent years have seen increasing attention and significant progress in many‐light rendering, a class of methods for efficient computation of global illumination. The many‐light formulation offers a unified mathematical framework for the problem reducing the full lighting transport simulation to the calculation of the direct illumination from many virtual light sources. These methods are unrivaled in their scalability: they are able to produce plausible images in a fraction of a second but also converge to the full solution over time. In this state‐of‐the‐art report, we give an easy‐to‐follow, introductory tutorial of the many‐light theory; provide a comprehensive, unified survey of the topic with a comparison of the main algorithms; discuss limitations regarding materials and light transport phenomena and present a vision to motivate and guide future research. We will cover both the fundamental concepts as well as improvements, extensions and applications of many‐light rendering.  相似文献

Polymers have been studied extensively because of their wonderful array of properties. Their properties can be tailored by many means and can be made useful in many ways. Polymers can be crosslinked or branched and can provide different properties, such as conduction and passivation. This study dealt with the RF sputter deposition of poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) films with the aim of using them as masking materials during the fabrication of various micromachined structures. The films were deposited on silicon substrates at different plasma powers (100, 150, and 200 W) for a constant deposition time (60 min). To test the masking properties, the deposited films were immersed in a 20 wt % aqueous KOH solution at 80°C for 60 min. The films showed lower contact angles and interfacial tension, and this indicated good adhesion of the films to the silicon substrates. Good adhesion is an essential quality of masking materials during micromachining. The structural properties of the as‐deposited and etched films were studied with Fourier transform infrared and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. These indicated that the bonding groups and binding energies of C? F and C? CF matched the reported values well. Furthermore, the presence of C? F and C? CF bonds, even after the etching of silicon substrates in highly alkaline KOH solutions for 60 min, showed that the PTFE films remained unchanged in the etchant and, therefore, could function as good masking materials during the fabrication of micromachined structures. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
