As distributed generators (DGs) such as photovoltaic (PV) systems are increasingly used in distribution systems, quick prevention of islanding caused by power system failure is essential to assure electrical safety. Various islanding protection methods have been used practically, but the conventional active systems tend to increase the detection time, because mutual interference occurs between active signals due to asynchronous states. A new active islanding detection method, the frequency feedback method with step reactive power injection, also has the possibility of extending the detection time in the so‐called perfect balance area (PBA). Thus we propose a novel method of islanding‐prevention by harmonic injection synchronized with the exciting current harmonics of the pole transformer. We performed an experimental study using prototype inverters equipped with the proposed method. We have shown the feasibility of detecting islanding quickly and reliably, even if the islanding state is in the PBA. The experimental results demonstrate that mutual interference does not occur due to asynchronous states between active signals, and also that the proposed method is applicable to islanding detection system in clustered installation of PV systems.  相似文献

Comparative analysis of subcritical water (SCW) treatment and ambient pressure boiling one of raw Isada krill was performed for the nutritive, flavour and antiradical properties of krill extracts and residues as well as the molecular mass and odour intensity of the extract. SCW treatment was performed for 10 min in a batch‐type vessel in the temperature range of 100–240 °C, using a 1:1 weight ratio of raw krill to water. Higher protein and lipid contents were obtained by SCW treatment relative to boiling. The lipid content of the SCW extracts increased with increasing treatment temperature. Protein was the main component in these extracts, and the highest protein content was achieved by SCW treatment at 200 °C. High‐molecular‐mass species decomposed under SCW treatment at high temperatures with consequent generation of smaller molecules. The antiradical activity of the SCW extract, determined by DPPH and ABTS assays, increased with increasing treatment temperature. The krill extracts and residues exhibited shrimp‐like flavour, and the most desirable flavour was obtained by SCW treatment at 140 °C or 160 °C for 10 min. The treatment would be applicable for the production of seasonings from Isada krill.  相似文献

In order to mitigate the impacts of high‐penetration photovoltaic power generation systems (HP‐PVS) on the electric power system operation, the statistical evaluation of the aggregated power output fluctuation characteristics of HP‐PVS is important. By using the multipoint irradiance data observed for a year in the Chubu region of Japan, we have evaluated the fluctuation characteristics of spatial average irradiance. However, the study period is not enough for a statistical evaluation. Therefore, this study assessed the usability of the sunlight duration data of AMeDAS (Automated Meteorological Data Acquisition System) for the statistical evaluation of fluctuation characteristics in terms of the daily maximum fluctuation width in 120 min. The method of irradiance estimation from the sunlight duration data at single point proposed in the preceding study was modified to be suitable for the spatial average irradiance estimation by taking into account the smoothing effect of irradiance fluctuation among several points. The results suggest that the AMeDAS sunlight duration data would be useful for statistical evaluation of the fluctuation characteristics of the spatial average irradiance of an electric power system service area.  相似文献

Malaria, an infectious disease caused by eukaryotic parasites of the genus Plasmodium, afflicts hundreds of millions of people every year. Both the parasite and its host utilize protein kinases to regulate essential cellular processes. Bioinformatic analyses of parasite genomes predict at least 65 protein kinases, but their biological functions and therapeutic potential are largely unknown. We profiled 1358 small‐molecule kinase inhibitors to evaluate the role of both the human and the malaria kinomes in Plasmodium infection of liver cells, the parasites' obligatory but transient developmental stage that precedes the symptomatic blood stage. The screen identified several small molecules that inhibit parasite load in liver cells, some with nanomolar efficacy, and each compound was subsequently assessed for activity against blood‐stage malaria. Most of the screening hits inhibited both liver‐ and blood‐stage malaria parasites, which have dissimilar gene expression profiles and infect different host cells. Evaluation of existing kinase activity profiling data for the library members suggests that several kinases are essential to malaria parasites, including cyclin‐dependent kinases (CDKs), glycogen synthase kinases, and phosphoinositide‐3‐kinases. CDK inhibitors were found to bind to Plasmodium protein kinase 5, but it is likely that these compounds target multiple parasite kinases. The dual‐stage inhibition of the identified kinase inhibitors makes them useful chemical probes and promising starting points for antimalarial development.  相似文献

It is important to note that the resulting alkynylboranes with an C(sp) B(dan) bond are isolable by column chromatography on silica gel (SiO2) and are usable as coupling partners for palladium‐ and copper‐catalyzed cross‐coupling reactions with (hetero)aryl halides.

The spatial structures of oleic acid‐modified CeO2 nanoparticles in polystyrene (PS) thin films spin‐coated on silicon substrates were observed by transmission electron microscopy, when the films underwent thermal annealing above the glass‐transition temperature of PS. Before annealing, the nanoparticles have segregated to the surface of the films, and formed two‐dimensional spatial structures in the PS films. Then, the nanoparticles migrated away from the film surface to the substrate/film interface during thermal annealing, maintaining the two‐dimensional spatial structures. In addition, we demonstrated that such unidirectional migration of nanoparticles across the PS film occurs regardless of the characteristics of the substrate surface, the concentration of nanoparticles, and the thickness of the films. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Enamel matrix derivative (EMD) is widely used in periodontal tissue regeneration therapy. However, because the bioactivity of EMD varies from batch to batch, and the use of a synthetic peptide could avoid use from an animal source, a completely synthetic peptide (SP) containing the active component of EMD would be useful. In this study an oligopeptide synthesized derived from EMD was evaluated for whether it contributes to periodontal tissue regeneration. We investigated the effects of the SP on cell proliferation and osteoblast differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), which are involved in tissue regeneration. MSCs were treated with SP (0 to 1000 ng/mL), to determine the optimal concentration. We examined the effects of SP on cell proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation indicators such as alkaline phosphatase activity, the production of procollagen type 1 C-peptide and osteocalcin, and on mineralization. Additionally, we investigated the role of extracellular signal-related kinases (ERK) in cell proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation induced by SP. Our results suggest that SP promotes these processes in human MSCs, and that ERK inhibitors suppress these effects. In conclusion, SP promotes cell proliferation and osteoblastic differentiation of human MSCs, probably through the ERK pathway.  相似文献

HOS cell is a model strain of human osteoblasts derived from human osteosarcoma. We cultured the HOS cells on both the conventional collagen gel (neutral gel), and the gamma-crosslinked collagen gel without collagen fibrils (acidic gel). The shape of HOS cells on the neutral gel was similar to that on the culture dish. However, HOS cells on acidic gel had an elongated shape and attached each other to form a mesh-like pattern. The cells attached to the surface of both gels but scarcely penetrated their depths. We measured the biochemical markers for osteogenic differentiation in the HOS cells cultured on both the neutral gel and the acidic gel. The expressions of alkaline phosphatase and osteocalcin were detected in the HOS cells on both types of collagen gel. Deposition of the calcium also occurred on both gels although it was higher in the neutral gel than the acidic one. These results indicate the importance of collagen for the differentiation of HOS cells, but it is not dependent on the molecular structure (fibril formation) of collagen.  相似文献

Personalization of the cell culture process for cell therapy is an ideal strategy to obtain maximum treatment effects. In a previous report, we proposed a strategy using a magnetic manipulation device that combined a palm-top size device and a cell-labeling method using magnetite cationic liposomes (MCLs) to enable feasible personalized cell processing. In the present study, we focused on optimizing the MCL-labeling technique with respect to cell manipulation in small devices. From detailed analysis with different cell types, 4 pg/cell of MCL-label was found to be obtained immediately after mixing with MCLs, which was sufficient for magnetic cell manipulation. The amount of label increased within 24 h depending on cell type, although in all cases it decreased along with cell doubling, indicating that the labeling potential of MCLs was limited. The role of free MCLs not involved in labeling was also investigated; MCLs' role was found to be a supportive one that maximized the manipulation performance up to 100%. We also determined optimum conditions to manipulate adherent cells by MCL labeling using the MCL dispersed in trypsin solution. Considering labeling feasibility and practical performance with 103–105 cells for personalized cell processing, we determined that 10 μg/ml of label without incubation time (0 h incubation) was the universal MCL-labeling condition. We propose the optimum specifications for a device to be combined with this method.  相似文献
