Abstract We study a key inequality that implies the lower bound formula for the probability of correct selection and other selection-related events of interest in the Levin-Robbins-Leu family of sequential binomial subset selection procedures. We present a strategy for the proof of the key inequality, and a mostly complete general proof is given. The strategy provides an entirely complete and rigorous proof of the inequality for as many as seven competing populations using computer-assisted symbolic manipulation. 相似文献

In this paper the influence of pyrometallurgical treatment of copper sulphide minerals and pyrite on the environment from the aspect of ambient air pollutions is considered. Results of emission of SO(2) and particulate matter from the location with the most pollution are presented. According to the results it could be seen that the Bor's citizen were exposed to the high concentration of SO(2) and arsenic which were found to be multiple over the Serbian legislative limits during 2007. Also, the reasons and consequences of this pollution were analysed. 相似文献

Polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMNs) are traditionally regarded as professional phagocytic and acute inflammatory cells that engulf the microbial pathogens. However, accumulating data have suggested that PMNs are multi-potential cells exhibiting many important biological functions in addition to phagocytosis. These newly found novel activities of PMN include production of different kinds of cytokines/chemokines/growth factors, release of neutrophil extracellular traps (NET)/ectosomes/exosomes and trogocytosis (membrane exchange) with neighboring cells for modulating innate, and adaptive immune responses. Besides, PMNs exhibit potential heterogeneity and plasticity in involving antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), cancer immunity, autoimmunity, inflammatory rheumatic diseases, and cardiovascular diseases. Interestingly, PMNs may also play a role in ameliorating inflammatory reaction and wound healing by a subset of PMN myeloid-derived suppressor cells (PMN-MDSC). Furthermore, PMNs can interact with other non-immune cells including platelets, epithelial and endothelial cells to link hemostasis, mucosal inflammation, and atherogenesis. The release of low-density granulocytes (LDG) from bone marrow initiates systemic autoimmune reaction in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In clinical application, identification of certain PMN phenotypes may become prognostic factors for severe traumatic patients. In the present review, we will discuss these newly discovered biological and pathobiological functions of the PMNs. 相似文献

Authors report results of a retrospective investigation on frequency of paraneoplastic dermatoses, their clinical characteristics, time of onset and course regarding 10 - year material on hospitalized patients at the Clinic for Infectious and Dermatovenerous Diseases in Novi Sad. Out of 9086 hospitalized patients in 14 patients (0.16%) paraneoplastic dermatisis was diagnosed. Out of 14 patients in 5 patients (35.71%) Herpes zoster was diagnosed; in 4 patients (28.57%) bullous dermatosis; in 2 patients (14.29%) paraneoplastic acrokeratosis; in 1 patient (7.14%) exudative multiform erythema in 1 patient (7.14%) erythema figuratum and in one more patient necrotic Herpes labialis was diagnosed. Concerning malignant neoplasms of internal organs together with paraneoplastic dermatosis in most cases (4 - 28.57%) chronic lymphocyte leucosis was found, and in remaining 10 (71.43%) carcinomas were diagnosed at different internal organs. In 7 cases (50%) malignancy proceeded paraneoplastic dermatosis, in 4 cases (28.57%) the malignancy was diagnosed at the same time as paraneoplastic dermatosis and in 3 cases (28.43%) malignancy was established after the onset of paraneoplastic dermatosis. Authors point to the fact that usual skin changes, characteristic for the dermatologic diseases mentioned, in cases when they are associated with visceral malignomas, are characterized by a more serious clinical picture, a longer course of the disease and resistance concerning usual therapy. 相似文献

In this study, new fluorine–siloxane‐containing polybenzimidazole (PBI) copolymers were synthesized by copolymerization of 3,3′‐diaminobenzidine, 2,2‐bis(4‐carboxyphenyl)‐hexafluoropropane (HFA), and 1,3 bis(carboxypropyl)tetramethyldisiloxane (BTMDS) with different molar ratios. PBI copolymer membranes were prepared by solution‐casting and then doped with phosphoric acid. The structures of PBI copolymers were characterized by FTIR and X‐ray diffraction. The solubility of the PBI copolymers was significantly increased by the introduction of the bulky HFA group and the flexible BTMDS group into the polymer backbone. The PBI copolymers still maintained good thermal stability and mechanical properties. Because of the introduction of the flexible and hydrophobic siloxane group in the polymer backbone, the methanol permeability was reduced and the proton conductivity under anhydrous condition at high temperatures was increased compared to the PBI without the siloxane group. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Yuzhu (Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma), Kangdingyuzhu (Polygonati Prattii Rhizoma), and zhugenqiyuzhu (Disporopsis Fuscopictae Rhizoma) are of the same family, but of different genera. They have all often used in Chinese Materia Medica (CMM) as Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma in China market. Three species of CMM are confused. For better application, we need to identify these plants accurately. This study use pharmacognosy technique and GC‐MS analysis, three species of CMM were authenticated. In macroscopic characteristics, the fruit of Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma is blue‐black, while the other two are maroon and dark purple orderly. Nodes of Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma are upward and light uplift, about 1 cm spacing, while the other are not. As for microscopic characteristics, the cortex of Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma only occupies about 1/5 of the radius of the transverse section with inconspicuous endodermis, which is much smaller than others. The type of vascular bundles of Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma is closed collateral, but the other is amphivasal. Raphides of calcium oxalate are scattered, but Raphides of the other two are like brooms and neat rows. GC–MS analysis of essential oil could provide different characteristics to distinguish three species. Twenty‐three compounds were identified from essential oil of Polygonati Odorati Rhizoma and the main components were n‐hexadecanoic acid (49.45%), while n‐hexadecanoic acid of the other two are 23.92% and 9.45%. The content of n‐hexadecanoic is strongly different. This research was aimed to establish a method by pharmacognosy and GC–MS analysis to identify three CMM and for providing scientifical data to ensure accuracy of origin of three species. Microsc.
