甘草叶中甘草宁P-3′-甲醚的分离和鉴定

Two flavonoids were isolated from the leaves of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch (Licorice, Leguminosae). On the basis of physico-chemical properties and spectroscopy (UV, ¹HNMR and MS), a new compound was elucidated as 3,5,7,4′-tetrahydroxy-3′-methoxy- 6-isoprenyl flavone (gancaonin P-3′-methylether) and another known compound was identified as 8-C-prenyleriodictyol.

自白首乌主要品种耳叶牛皮消(Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight)根中首次分得三个已知甾体酯型甙元:告达亭(caudatin),开德甙元(kidjolanin),萝藦甙元(Metaplexigenin)和一种新的二苯酮衍生物(Ⅳ),经光谱分析推定其结构为2,6,2′,5′-四羟基,3-乙酰基,6′-甲基二苯酮,命名白首乌二苯酮。     

Pneumothorax: appearance on lateral chest radiographs

The appearance of pneumothorax on lateral radiographs obtained with the patient erect were reviewed in 100 patients (122 total examinations). A pneumothorax could be seen on the lateral projection in 89% of the examinations (109 of 122). The displaced pleural line was most frequently identified anteriorly or posteriorly and was less commonly identified at the lung apex or in a subpulmonic location. In 11 cases, an air-fluid level was the only recognizable finding of a pneumothorax on the lateral projection. Although in 27% of examinations (32 of 122) the pneumothorax was either not seen (11%) (n = 13) or was a subtle finding (16%) (n = 19), in 14% of examinations (17 of 122) the lateral projection provided helpful information to supplement the posteroanterior projection.     

Intravenous administration of paclitaxel in Sprague‐Dawley rats: what is a safe dose?

Few studies describe the administration of Taxol to rats; however, rats are typically used to study the toxicity of new drugs or novel formulations. A dose finding study was conducted to determine a safe dose of Taxol following intravenous administration in rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats received a bolus of paclitaxel 5-20 mg/kg i.v. Blood was drawn before administration and at the following times after administration: 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20 and 24 h. Plasma concentrations were determined using high performance liquid chromatography. Two rats received paclitaxel 20 mg/kg and died immediately. Nine rats received paclitaxel 10 mg/kg; seven of these rats died within 12 h and two rats were killed due to moribund conditions. Ten rats received paclitaxel 5 mg/kg with no morbidity. The following pharmacokinetics for paclitaxel in the plasma were estimated: C0, 8977 ng/ml; AUC(0 --> infinity), 7477 ng*h/ml; CL(s), 668 ml/h*kg; V(ss), 1559 ml/kg; V(z) 2557 ml/kg and t(1/2), 2.6 h. It is concluded that further pharmacokinetic studies that are rationally designed to include appropriate measures of preclinical toxicity associated with paclitaxel are needed to identify formally the safest dose in rats following intravenous administration; however, these data indicate that male Sprague-Dawley rats can safely receive Taxol in a 5 mg/kg i.v. bolus.
