In this paper, analytical estimation of energy dissipations, such as viscous, Joulian, and Darcy dissipation of viscoelastic flow phenomena over a deformable surface has been presented. This supplement to the study of many transport processes, which occur in nature, and various experimental setups that are driven or modified by the composition of the various flow characteristics and material or phase constitution. These processes are very important and have received considerable attention in the literature. The estimation of dissipative energy in the process of transport energy is an important phenomenon to investigate. The present analysis is carried out on steady MHD viscoelastic liquid due to deformable domains. Moreover, the impact of internal heat sources and prescribed thermal conditions, such as surface temperature and heat flux, are carefully studied. Analytical solutions to governing equations are obtained with the help of Kummer's function. The solutions are presented graphically as well as in tables to estimate the energy losses and their effects on transport processes, which serve as the salient features of the current analysis. The outcomes serve as a guideline due to the process of transport properties as per the design requirements. Looking into the current scenario, dissipative heat energies have several applications in industries and technological processes, such as electric heaters, fuses, food processing, and several others.  相似文献

An analysis is carried out for the flow of an unsteady electrically conducting liquid film on a horizontal stretching surface embedded with porous medium. In addition, a uniform heat source is taken care of in the present problem to model the governing equations of momentum and thermal energy to enhance the thermal properties of the considered fluid. Similarity variable as well as transformations are used to transform these equations into nondimensional. Solutions of these transformed ordinary differential equations are obtained using approximate analytical method, such as differential transformation method, and their refinement is verified by Pade approximant. The methodology of the analytical approach is presented clearly. Further, for validation, the numerical solutions are obtained and compared with the present analytical solution. The characteristics of the exhibiting parameters are shown via graphs and then discussed.  相似文献

Using weaving technology, possible manipulations can be done so as to derive maximum advantage from the reinforcements towards desired mechanical properties of the composites. Thus with different sets of weaving parameters and tow linear densities, an attempt has been made to investigate tensile, impact and knife penetration performance of different stuffer layers and fibre volume fractions of 3D orthogonal and interlock E-glass fabrics as reinforcements for composite applications. The tensile properties were effectively influenced by warp tow crimp%, number of stuffer tows per unit width of the fabric and fabric assistance. The tow linear density, fabric sett and the number of cross over points play a determining role towards impact energy absorption capacity. The fabric sett along with tow linear densities also play a vital role towards peak energy during knife penetration test. The number of cross over points were found to be least important in the knife penetration results analysis.  相似文献

Temporal variation of ‘surface energy balance’ was quantified on tropical lowland rice for 4 years (2013–2016). High response (10 Hz) eddy covariance system was used to estimate real time data on net radiation (NR), sensible heat (Hs), latent heat (LE), air and soil temperature. Annual, monthly, diurnal as well as phenological crop stage wise variation were analysed. Majority of radiation received from sun was partitioned into latent heat (LE, 44–73%) followed by soil heat (G, 13–42%) and sensible heat (Hs 3–16%) in dry cropping season. This was primarily due to presence of stagnant water in this ecology throughout the cropping period except few days during harvesting. Average Hs was negative in the month of April because of higher evapotranspiration during full grown crop at its reproductive stage as well as stagnant water in field. LE was the major contributor of energy balance and consistently increased from active tillering to grain filling stages then gradually decreased in harvesting. Hs contributing more at the initial stages of rice. Diurnal variation showed maximum Hs during 12:00 to 13:00 hours, whereas, highest LE and G were noticed during 13:00 and 11:30–12:00 hours, respectively. LE and G regressed well than Hs with air temperature and NR.  相似文献

Segmentation of vessel in retinal fundus images is a primary step for the clinical identification for specific eye diseases. Effective diagnosis of vascular pathologies from angiographic images is thus a vital aspect and generally depends on segmentation of vascular structure. Although various approaches for retinal vessel segmentation are extensively utilized, however, the responses are lower at vessel's edges. The curvelet transform signifies edges better than wavelets, and hence convenient for multiscale edge enhancement. The bilateral filter is a nonlinear filter that is capable of providing effective smoothing while preserving strong edges. Fast bilateral filter is an advanced version of bilateral filter that regulates the contrast while preserving the edges. Therefore, in this paper a fusion algorithm is recommended by fusing fast bilateral filter that can effectively preserve the edge details and curvelet transform that has better capability to detect the edge direction feature and better investigation and tracking of significant characteristics of the image. Afterwards C mean thresholding is used for the extraction of vessel. The recommended fusion approach is assessed on DRIVE dataset. Experimental results illustrate that the fusion algorithm preserved the advantages of the both and provides better result. The results demonstrate that the recommended method outperforms the traditional approaches.  相似文献

In this article, a novel design of compact cavity‐backed slot antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is presented for dual‐frequency communication services. A single layer printed circuit board is applied to implement the proposed antenna. The bowtie‐ring slot engraved on the SIW square cavity is excited using two orthogonal microstrip feed lines to operate at two distinct frequencies (6.62 GHz and 11.18 GHz). The proposed antenna allows each of these frequencies to be designed independently. A prototype of the proposed cavity‐backed antenna that radiates at both 6.62 GHz and 11.18 GHz is fabricated and measured. The port isolation better than 29.3 dB is achieved by utilizing the transmission zeros (TZs), which are produced due to the orthogonal feed lines, TE110 mode and coupling between the TE120 and TE210 modes. The measured peak gains of the proposed diplexing antenna are 5.77 dBi and 5.81 dBi at lower and upper resonating frequencies, respectively. The proposed dual‐frequency antenna exhibits the front‐to‐back‐ratio (FTBR) and cross‐polarization level greater than 26 dB and 21 dB, respectively, at both resonating frequencies.  相似文献
