Solution polymer blends of a high molecular weight and a low molecular weight poly(9-vinyl carbazole) PVK with poly[2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV), at a fixed blend ratio of 95.5:0.5, were processed via electrospraying and electrospinning. SEM studies revealed that electrosprayed particles were produced when low molecular weight PVK was used, while electrospun fibers were successfully obtained from solutions containing high molecular weight PVK, over a concentration range of 4–10% (w/v). From the absorption spectra of the neat polymers it was determined that Urbach energy Eu increase and optical band gap Eg decreases due to the physical defects along the main chain introduced by these electrostatic processing methods. Photoluminescence spectroscopy revealed a particular applied voltage, which depends on concentration and molecular weight, where aggregation of PVK levels off. Luminescence quenching of MEH-PPV is also observed to increase with applied voltage consistent with possible energy transfer from shorter conjugation length segments to nearby longer conjugated segments. The ratio of the intensity of the excitation spectra of the PVK (donor, both PVKL or PVKH) and the MEH-PPV (acceptor), ID/IA, exhibited minima at this particular voltage and then levels off, indicating not only maximum interpenetration and thus compatibility of both polymers but also maximum energy transfer. Hence, we demonstrate that compatibility and energy transfer can be optimized varying concentration and applied voltage during both electrospraying and electrospinning processes.  相似文献

In the past 25 years social housing programmes in Chile have taken three basic forms. During the military regime the traditional basic housing and a neighbourhood upgrading programme operated, while in 1990 the new democratic authorities added the progressive housing line of action. As there was scope for improving these programmes, a research project was set up with the aim of first identifying, and then finding, the relative importance of social housing attributes for different types of dwellers. Three surveys were considered in the project: a two-wave Delphi survey to specialists in the field and a focus group survey to current and potential beneficiaries, in order to identify the most relevant housing attributes, and a stated-preference survey to a sample of five types of social housing dwellers. With the latter data discrete choice models were estimated, which allowed the relative weight of (and subjective valuation, or willingness to pay for) each such attribute to be determined. The methodological features of the project are presented and its main results are discussed.  相似文献

Inversion of polarization lidar sensing data based on the form of the lidar sensing equation with allowance for contributions from multiple-scattering calls for a priori information on the scattering phase matrix. In the present study the parameters of the Stokes vectors for various propagation media, including those with the scattering phase matrices that vary along the measuring range, are investigated. It is demonstrated that, in spaceborne lidar sensing, a simple parameterization of the multiple-scattering contribution is applicable and the polarization signal's characteristics depend mainly on the lidar and depolarization ratios, whereas differences in the angular dependences of the matrix components are no longer determining factors. An algorithm for simultaneous reconstruction of the profiles of the backscattering coefficient and depolarization and lidar ratios in an inhomogeneous medium is suggested. Specific features of the methods are analyzed for the examples of interpretation of lidar signal profiles calculated by the Monte Carlo method and are measured experimentally.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Es wurde nachgewiesen, daß die untersuchten Äthylester (Äthylpektine) wesentlich bessere Emulgiereigenschaften als das Ausgangs-Sonnenblumenpektin haben. Die Dispersität und die Viscosität der Emulsionen erhöht sich mit der Konzentration der Äthylpektine und der Ölphase. Die Stabilität der Emulsionen wird bei steigender Konzentration von Äthylpektin und Ölphase verbessert. Es wurde festgestellt, daß die Emulgierfähigkeiten von Äthylestern des Sonnenblumenpektins auch vom Veresterungsgrad abhängen. Die besten Ergebnisse erzielt man mit Derivaten, die einen Veresterungsgrad von etwa 65% haben.
Emulsifying properties of ethylesters of sunflower pectin
Summary It has been shown that the studied ethylesters (ethylpectins) have far better emulsifying properties than the initial sunflower pectin.The dispersity, viscosity and stability of the emulsions increase with increasing concentration of the ethylpectins and the oily phase. It has been found that the emulsifying properties of ethylesters of the sunflower pectin depend also on the degree of esterification. Best results are achieved with derivatives which have a degree of esterification of about 65%.

The single and combined effects of enterocin AS-48 and high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) on Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonellaenterica, and Staphylococcus aureus was investigated in fuet (a low acid fermented sausage) during ripening and storage at 7 °C or at room temperature. AS-48 (148 AU g−1) caused a drastic 5.5 log cfu g−1 decrease in L. monocytogenes (P < 0.001) and a significant (P < 0.01) inhibition (1.79 logs) for Salmonella at the end of ripening (10 d). After pressurization (400 MPa) and storage Listeria counts remained below 5 cfu g−1 in all fuets containing AS-48 (pressurized or not). HHP alone had no anti-Listeria effect. HHP treatment significantly reduced Salmonella counts, with lowest levels in pressurized fuets with AS-48. S. aureus showed similar growth for all treatments and storage conditions. These results indicate that AS-48 can be applied alone to control L. monocytogenes and combined with HHP treatment to control Salmonella in fuets.  相似文献

Quinoa, Chenopodium quinoa Willd., is an Amaranthacean, stress‐tolerant plant cultivated along the Andes for the last 7000 years, challenging highly different environmental conditions ranging from Bolivia, up to 4.500 m of altitude, to sea level, in Chile. Its grains have higher nutritive value than traditional cereals and it is a promising worldwide cultivar for human consumption and nutrition. The quinoa has been called a pseudo‐cereal for botanical reasons but also because of its unusual composition and exceptional balance between oil, protein and fat. The quinoa is an excellent example of ‘functional food’ that aims at lowering the risk of various diseases. Functional properties are given also by minerals, vitamins, fatty acids and antioxidants that can make a strong contribution to human nutrition, particularly to protect cell membranes, with proven good results in brain neuronal functions. Its minerals work as cofactors in antioxidant enzymes, adding higher value to its rich proteins. Transparent BaTiO3:Eu3+ films were prepared via a sol-gel method and dip-coating technique, using barium acetate, titanium butoxide, and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as modifier viscosity. BaTiO3:Eu3+ films ~500 nm thick, crystallized after thermal treatment at 700 ºC. The powders revealed spherical and rod shape morphology. The optical quality of films showed a predominant band at 615 nm under 250 nm excitation. A preliminary luminescent test provided the properties of the Eu3+ doped BaTiO3.  相似文献

The aim of this research was to study the behaviour of the drying kinetics of pepino fruit (Solanum muricatum Ait.) at five temperatures (50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 °C). In addition, desorption isotherms were determined at 20, 40 and 60 °C over a water activity range from 0.10 to 0.90. The Guggenheim, Anderson and de Boer model was suitable to depict the desorption data. A monolayer moisture content from 0.10 to 0.14 g water g−1 d.m. was reported. The equations of Newton, Henderson–Pabis, Modified Page, Wang–Singh, Modified Henderson–Pabis, Logarithmic as well as standardised Weibull were tested for modelling drying kinetics. Besides, Fick’s second law model was used to calculate the water diffusion coefficient which increased with temperature from 2.55 to 7.29 × 10−10 m2 s−1, with estimated activation energy of 27.11 kJ mol−1. The goodness of fit of the models was evaluated using sum squared error and chi-square statistical tests. The comparison of the experimental moisture values with respect to the calculated values showed that the standardised Weibull model presented the best goodness of fit, showing that this equation is very accurate for simulating drying kinetics for further optimisation of drying times.  相似文献
