ABSTRACTIn this work, a new anion exchanger adsorbent was synthesized based on modified natural polymeric fish bone powder. The obtained adsorbent was investigated by Field Emission Scanning Electron Micrographs (FESEM), Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra. The effects of solution pH, contact time, initial concentration of nitrate, adsorbent dosage, temperature, and competing anions (ammonium chloride, phosphate, bicarbonate sodium, magnesium sulfate) on nitrate adsorption were investigated. The maximum nitrate removal efficiency was achieved 98.83%. Antimicrobial activity of adsorbent was carried out by disc diffusion method against two Gram-negative bacteria namely E. coli and P. aeruginosa, and also two fungi species of Aspergillus niger and Saccharomyces cerevisiae in vitro. 相似文献

In the past decades, ionic liquids (ILs) have garnered a lot of attention especially in the field of green chemistry due to their unique properties which help to solve the problems posed by organic solvents. Interestingly, their applications are not limited to that only as ILs have the potential to become alternative templates in the development of mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs). This work reported the usage of a series of pyridinium ILs as template in the synthesis of monodispersed mesoporous silica nanosphere (MNSs) via two methods. Both syntheses utilize triethanolamine (TEA) as the base catalyst where in one method the TEA undergoes pre-treatment process while the other did not. Besides that, the effects of pyridinium ILs alkyl chain length were also investigated. MNSs generated via both methods exhibit spherical morphology and decreasing average particles size with increasing alkyl chain length of pyridinium ILs. The MNSs porosity were further analyzed through nitrogen sorption analysis where the surface area were in between 71.85 and 525.02 m2 g?1 and the pore volume was up to 1 cm3 g?1. 相似文献

The study evaluates the healthy fatty acid profile and sensorial characteristics of Ricotta obtained from ewes fed three different diets: diet enriched with linseed (L), un‐supplemented diet (F) and pasture (P). Omega‐3 fatty acid (n‐3 FA) levels in Ricotta from grazing sheep and from animals that received the supplemented diet were notably higher than those that received un‐supplemented feed. The L‐ and P‐groups had lower levels of saturated fatty acids (SFAs), higher levels of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and more favourable health indices. Sensorial tests showed that among the diet groups, the Ricotta obtained from the supplementation group scored the highest with respect to greasiness, spreadability and acceptability. 相似文献

One-dimensional journal bearings lubricated with a micropolar fluid were analysed. Due to complex cutting edge profile of an involute cutter, calculations of chip width and consequently cutting force are quite problematical. This article presents a mechanistic approach in the prediction of cutting force components arising in the course of gear tooth cutting by an involute form cutter. To permit calculation of chip width (and so cutting forces), a discrete model is utilized and cutting force components are then derived using Kienzle approach. Moreover, several experiments are performed under different cutting conditions to prove the effectiveness and accuracy of the used method.
