Consistent search of plants for green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (SNPs) is an important arena in Nanomedicine. This study focuses on synthesis of SNPs using bioreduction of silver nitrate (AgNO3) by aqueous root extract of Decalepis hamiltonii. The biosynthesis of SNPs was monitored by UV–vis analysis at absorbance maxima 432 nm. The fluorescence emission spectra of SNPs illustrated the broad emission peak 450–483 nm at different excitation wavelengths. The surface characteristics were studied by scanning electron microscope and atomic force microscopy, showed spherical shape of SNPs and dynamic light scattering analysis confirmed the average particle size 32.5 nm and the presence of metallic silver was confirmed by energy dispersive X‐ray. Face centred cubic structure with crystal size 33.3 nm was revealed by powder X‐ray diffraction. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy indicated the biomolecules involved in the reduction mainly polyols and phenols present in root extracts were found to be responsible for the synthesis of SNPs. The stability and charge on SNPs were revealed by zeta potential analysis. Tea leaves have economic importance in preparation of the popular beverage of the world “tea”. Bird’s eye spot disease of tea leaves creates significant revenue loss in tea trade of many tea plant cultivating countries. Management of this disease by silver (AgNps) and copper (CuNps) nanoparticles that are biosynthesised by efficient antagonists was studied. The biocontrol agents like Pseudomonas fluorescens, Trichoderma atroviride and Streptomyces sannanensis were evaluated for nanoparticle synthesis against Cercospora theae isolates namely KC10, MC24 and VC38. Initially, the freshly prepared extracellular AgNps showed high disease control (59.42 – 79.76%), but the stability of antagonistic property in stored nanoparticles were significantly high in CuNps (58.71 – 73.81%). Greenhouse studies on various treatments imposed also showed reduced disease incidence percentage of 13.4, 7.57 and 10.11% when treated with CuNps synthesized by P. fluorescens, T. atroviride and S. sannanensis respectively. Various treatment schedule in fields suggested the use of Bionanocopper@1.5 ppm for highest yield (3743 kg/ha) with 66.1% disease prevention. Text mining has become a major research topic in which text classification is the important task for finding the relevant information from the new document. Accordingly, this paper presents a semantic word processing technique for text categorization that utilizes semantic keywords, instead of using independent features of the keywords in the documents. Hence, the dimensionality of the search space can be reduced. Here, the Back Propagation Lion algorithm (BP Lion algorithm) is also proposed to overcome the problem in updating the neuron weight. The proposed text classification methodology is experimented over two data sets, namely, 20 Newsgroup and Reuter. The performance of the proposed BPLion is analysed, in terms of sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy, and compared with the performance of the existing works. The result shows that the proposed BPLion algorithm and semantic processing methodology classifies the documents with less training time and more classification accuracy of 90.9%.  相似文献

The lossy nature of the JPEG compression leaves traces which are utilized by the forensic agents to identify the local tampering in the image. In this paper, a tricky anti-forensic method has been proposed to remove the traces left by the JPEG compression in both the spatial domain and discrete cosine transform domain. A novel Least Cuckoo Search algorithm is devised in the proposed anti-forensic compression scheme. Moreover, a new fitness function called histogram deviation is formulated in the optimization algorithm. The experimentation of the proposed anti-forensic compression scheme is performed over uncompressed images from UCID database. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated, and it is compared with the existing methods using PSNR, MSE and classification accuracy as measures. The experimentation ensued with promising results, i.e. accuracy of 0.97, PSNR of 44.34?dB, and MSE of 0.1789 which prove the efficacy of the proposed method.  相似文献

Flash spark plasma sintering (flash SPS) is an attractive method to obtain Nd–Fe–B magnets with anisotropic magnetic properties when starting from melt-spun powders. Compared to the benchmark processing route via hot pressing with subsequent die upsetting, flash SPS promises electroplasticity as an additional deformation mechanism and reduced tool wear, while maximizing magnetic properties by tailoring the microstructure—fully dense and high texture. A detailed parameter study is conducted to understand the influence of Flash SPS parameters on the densification and magnetic properties of commercial MQU-F powder. It is revealed that the presintering conditions and preheating temperature before applying the power pulse play a major role for tailoring grain size and texture in the case of hot deformation via Flash SPS. Detailed microstructure and magnetic domain evaluation disclose the texture enhancement with increasing flash SPS temperature at the expense of coercivity. The best compromise between remanence and coercivity (1.37 T and 1195 kA m−1, respectively) is achieved through a combination of presintering at 500 °C for 120 s and preheating temperature of 600 °C, resulting in a magnet with energy product (BH)max of 350 kJm−3. These findings show the potential of flash SPS to obtain fully dense anisotropic nanocrystalline magnets with high magnetic performance.  相似文献

Both unit and integration testing are incredibly crucial for almost any software application because each of them operates a distinct process to examine the product. Due to resource constraints, when software is subjected to modifications, the drastic increase in the count of test cases forces the testers to opt for a test optimization strategy. One such strategy is test case prioritization (TCP). Existing works have propounded various methodologies that re-order the system-level test cases intending to boost either the fault detection capabilities or the coverage efficacy at the earliest. Nonetheless, singularity in objective functions and the lack of dissimilitude among the re-ordered test sequences have degraded the cogency of their approaches. Considering such gaps and scenarios when the meteoric and continuous updations in the software make the intensive unit and integration testing process more fragile, this study has introduced a memetics-inspired methodology for TCP. The proposed structure is first embedded with diverse parameters, and then traditional steps of the shuffled-frog-leaping approach (SFLA) are followed to prioritize the test cases at unit and integration levels. On 5 standard test functions, a comparative analysis is conducted between the established algorithms and the proposed approach, where the latter enhances the coverage rate and fault detection of re-ordered test sets. Investigation results related to the mean average percentage of fault detection (APFD) confirmed that the proposed approach exceeds the memetic, basic multi-walk, PSO, and optimized multi-walk by 21.7%, 13.99%, 12.24%, and 11.51%, respectively.  相似文献

We consider buffer management of unit packets with deadlines for a multi-port device with reconfiguration overhead. The goal is to maximize the throughput of the device, i.e., the number of packets delivered by their deadline. For a single port or with free reconfiguration, the problem reduces to the well-known packets scheduling problem, where the celebrated earliest-deadline-first (EDF) strategy is optimal 1-competitive. However, EDF is not 1-competitive when there is a reconfiguration overhead. We design an online algorithm that achieves a competitive ratio of 1−o(1) when the ratio between the minimum laxity of the packets and the number of ports tends to infinity. This is one of the rare cases where one can design an almost 1-competitive algorithm. One ingredient of our analysis, which may be interesting on its own right, is a perturbation theorem on EDF for the classical packets scheduling problem. Specifically, we show that a small perturbation in the release and deadline times cannot significantly degrade the optimal throughput. This implies that EDF is robust in the sense that its throughput is close to the optimum even when the deadlines are not precisely known.  相似文献

In this paper, we focus on information extraction from optical character recognition (OCR) output. Since the content from OCR inherently has many errors, we present robust algorithms for information extraction from OCR lattices instead of merely looking them up in the top-choice (1-best) OCR output. Specifically, we address the challenge of named entity detection in noisy OCR output and show that searching for named entities in the recognition lattice significantly improves detection accuracy over 1-best search. While lattice-based named entity (NE) detection improves NE recall from OCR output, there are two problems with this approach: (1) the number of false alarms can be prohibitive for certain applications and (2) lattice-based search is computationally more expensive than 1-best NE lookup. To mitigate the above challenges, we present techniques for reducing false alarms using confidence measures and for reducing the amount of computation involved in performing the NE search. Furthermore, to demonstrate that our techniques are applicable across multiple domains and languages, we experiment with optical character recognition systems for videotext in English and scanned handwritten text in Arabic.  相似文献

In this paper the maximum sidelobe level (SLL) reductions, optimal beam patterns and optimal beam widths of various designs of three-ring planar concentric circular antenna arrays (PCCAA) are examined using three different classes of evolutionary optimization techniques to finally determine the global optimal three-ring PCCAA design and then establish some sort of ranking among the techniques. Apart from physical construction of a PCCAA, one may broadly classify its design into two major categories: uniformly excited arrays and non-uniformly excited arrays. The present paper assumes non-uniform excitations and uniform spacing of excitation elements in each three-ring PCCAA design and a design goal of maximizing SLL reduction associated with optimal beam patterns and beam widths. The design problem is modeled as an optimization problem for each PCCAA design and solved using different evolutionary optimization techniques to determine an optimum set of normalized excitation weights for PCCAA elements, which, when incorporated, results in a radiation pattern with optimal (maximum) SLL reduction. Among the various PCCAA designs, one which yields the global minimum SLL with global minimum first null beamwidth is the global optimal design. In this work the three-ring PCCAA containing (N1 = 4, N2 = 6, N3 = 8) elements proves to be such global optimal design. The optimization techniques employed are real coded GA (RGA), canonical PSO (CPSO), craziness based PSO (CRPSO), evolutionary programming (BEP), hybrid evolutionary programming (HEP). While ranking the techniques after 30 total runs for each design, HEP, CRPSO, RGA, CPSO, BGA hold the first five ranks in order of optimization capability. HEP yields global minimum SLL (?32.86 dB) and global minimum BWFN (77.0°) for the optimal design. BEP often changes the rank from second to fifth depending on the design set. Further, when compared to a uniformly excited PCCAA having equal number of elements and same radii a reduction of major lobe beamwidth is also observed in the optimal non-uniformly excited case.  相似文献

Computer-aided design (CAD) is a ubiquitous tool that today’s students will be expected to use proficiently for numerous engineering purposes. Taking full advantage of the features available in modern CAD programs requires that models are created in a manner that allows others to easily understand how they are organized and alter them in an efficient and robust manner. The results of a class-based exercise are presented to examine the role of model attributes on model creation, alteration, and student perception. Two popular CAD programs are used for the exercise: SolidWorks and Pro|Engineer. General results from both programs are reported. Fewer more complex features are found to be correlated with reduced modeling time. Simple features are shown to be positively correlated with the number of features retained without change. More complex features are found to be negatively correlated with the number of new features. Student perceptions of model quality and intuitiveness are positively correlated with the amount of feature reuse. Student survey data shows a preference for simpler features, the naming of features, and the use of reference geometry. The results do not allow for a generic approach regarding feature complexity to be prescribed. Overall, properly conveying design intent is shown to be positively correlated with design retention and negatively correlated with alteration time.  相似文献
