Early stages of recrystallization in alloys containing complex structure of second phase particles are of considerable practical interest. They were observed for the AA3104 alloy in which large particles occur against the background of randomly distributed dispersoids. The samples were deformed by equal channel angular pressing and then slightly annealed to obtain the state of partial recrystallization. The highly deformed alloy contained a structure of flat grains with the spacing between high-angle grain boundaries ranging from 100 nm to 1 ??m. On annealing, the structure coarsened and got transformed into nearly equiaxed grains by both discontinuous and continuous recrystallization. The nucleation of new grains was observed in statically recrystallized bulk samples using scanning electron microscopy, and during in-situ recrystallization in a transmission electron microscope. Special attention was paid to the nucleation of new grains in areas close to large second phase particles, where a relatively high stored energy was expected to stimulate nucleation. A particular role in the rise of nuclei is attributed to migration of low angle boundaries. During recrystallization at 623 K (350?°C), in most of the observed cases, the growth of grains occurred by coalescence of neighbouring cells and by migration of high-angle grain boundaries. These processes led to nearly equiaxed grains of similar size. Orientation mappings showed that although orientations of new grains were widely scattered, they were not completely random.  相似文献

The aim of study is the elaboration of semi‐biodegradable, multilayered tubular structures as substitutes for the reconstruction of small diameter vascular prostheses (<6 mm). The inert external layer of the prostheses will be fabricated via the melt electrospinning of poly (l ‐lactide‐co‐glycolide) (PLGA). The middle layer will be constructed from polypropylene (PP); the first prototype will be produced via melt electrospinning and the second using the melt blowing technique. The general aim of this stage of the research is the selection of a sterilisation technique that is appropriate for semi‐biodegradable, multilayered tubular structures. For this purpose, single tubular structures created via the melt electrospinning of PLGA or PP and melt blown tubular structures of PP were elaborated. The influence of steam, ethylene‐oxide (EO), and radiation sterilisation techniques on the elaborated microstructure of tubular structures was analyzed during this study. The effect of each sterilisation technique was evaluated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy/energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy analysis (SEM/EDS). The changes in average molecular weight (Mw) and crystallinity index (CI) of the PLGA tubular structures after EO and steam sterilisation were evaluated. The EO and steam sterilisation resulted in the complete destruction of PLGA tubular structures. Only the radiation sterilisation (accelerated electrons) did not influence on PLGA tubular structures morphology as well as thermal and chemical properties. FTIR and SEM/EDS analysis indicated that no changes in the chemical properties of PP tubular structures after each sterilisation occurred. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. The aim of research was to elaborate the non‐biodegradable (made of polypropylene (PP)) and resorbable (made of polylactide (PLA)) tubular fibrous structures for the reconstruction of the vascular vessels. For the mentioned structures design, nonconventional manufacturing techniques such as melt blown, melt electrospinning, and melt electroblowing were used. Three techniques were chosen as methods allowing on the fibrous structures manufacture containing fibers in nano‐ or submicro‐size diameter. Other advantages of free‐solvent technique use is the reduction in the clinical adverse events associated with solvent resided in the fibrous structure during the fabrication. The tubular fibrous structures of PP and PLA using above‐mentioned techniques were designed. In first stage, the analysis of the processing parameters influence on the nonbiodegradable and biodegradable tubular structures fiber diameter was performed. Subsequently, the validation step was the analysis of the influence of processing parameters on PP and PLA structural properties for each manufacturing techniques was investigated. The research results confirmed the ability of the tubular structures manufacture with various fiber diameter depending on the applied technique and processing parameters. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The effects of surface elasticity and surface tension on the transverse overall behavior of unidirectional nano-scale fiber-reinforced composites are studied. The interfaces between the nano-fibers and the matrix are regarded as material surfaces described by the Gurtin and Murdoch model. The analysis is based on the equivalent inhomogeneity technique. In this technique, the effective elastic properties of the material are deduced from the analysis of a small cluster of fibers embedded into an infinite plane. All interactions between the inhomogeneities in the cluster are precisely accounted for. The results related to the effects of surface elasticity are compared with those provided by the modified generalized self-consistent method, which only indirectly accounts for the interactions between the inhomogeneities. New results related to the effects of surface tension are presented. Although the approach employed is applicable to all transversely isotropic composites, in this paper we consider only a hexagonal arrangement of circular cylindrical fibers.  相似文献

Adhesion is one of the bacterial strategies indispensable for colonization of the small intestine. Food components reaching the small intestine, are not only digested and absorbed there, but may also influence the microorganisms colonizing the mentioned region. In this way, nutrients, particularly the ones the enzymatic degradation of which is hindered, acquire the ability to modify the adhesive potential of the autochthonic microorganisms. The glycated food proteins are noteworthy here for they often undergo relevant structural and functional alterations. Such proteins tend to display a lowered susceptibility to enzymatic degradation and thus may act as modulators of both metabolic activity and adhesive potential of bacteria adhered to the intestinal cells. For that reason, this study aimed at establishing the impact of the glycated pea proteins on adhesion of the bacteria from the genera: Lactobacillus, Enterococcus, and Escherichia, which are typical for the human small intestine.  相似文献

New copolymer materials have been prepared by chemical grafting of oligomeric 3‐hydroxybutyric acid (OHB) onto polypyrrole (PPy) derivatives. The influence of grafting density and molecular weight of OHB brushes on the physicochemical properties of prepared copolymers was investigated. PPy substrates were prepared by FeCl3‐driven oxidative homopolymerization of N‐(2‐carboxyethyl)pyrrole or its copolymerization with pyrrole. The grafting method employed involved controlled anionic polymerization of β‐butyrolactone on pyrrole‐tethered potassium carboxylate active sites. Obtained PPy‐g‐OHB copolymers of varying grafting density and pendant polyester chain length were characterized and the observed structure–property relationships discussed. The impact of real time exposure to phosphate‐buffered saline environment was investigated and the residue products were characterized. Cross‐correlation of spectroscopic, thermal, electrical and elemental analysis data afforded comprehensive evaluation of the structure of prepared materials and their behaviour in hydrolytic medium. Erosion and degradation pathways have been identified, indicating ways to consciously tailor the physicochemical properties of these new biomimetic materials. © 2016 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

The effect of the phosphine-concentration (10?8–10?3 M) in strong acid solutions (pH = 0) on the corrosion rate of pure iron and Fe- 0.12% P alloy has been investigated. It was shown that at low concentrations (10?7–10?6M), phosphine accelerates the corrosion of iron, whereas at adequately high concentrations (10?5–10?3 M) it has inhibitory properties. In the presence of PH3 the cathodic reduction of hydrogen ions is strongly accelerated. At the same time, the increase in PH3 concentration causes an increase of surface coverage by PH3 molecules, which results in the inhibition of both partial electrode processes.  相似文献

Summary Styrene and ethylene dimethacrylate were polymerized in benzene solutions to high conversions. Gels were prepared from critical concentrations of the divinylidene monomer and the fractions of the divinylidene units engaged in intermolecular crosslinks were estimated. The fractions were found to be very small, viz. 5, 10 and 18 % at the total monomer concentrations 1, 2 and 3 mol/dm3, respectively.
