Most of the scheduling problems are NP-hard. In the literature, several heuristics and dispatching rules are proposed to solve such hard combinatorial optimization problems and genetic algorithm (GA) ranks among the most preferred ones in view of its characteristics such as high adaptability, near optimization and easy realization. But, even though it is a common problem in the industry, only a small number of studies deal with non-identical parallel machines. In this paper, the authors propose a new “crossover operator” and a new “optimality criterion” in order to adapt the GA to non-identical parallel machine scheduling problem. New algorithm is tested on a numerical example by implementing it in a simulation software and computational results are compared to those obtained with LPT (Longest Processing Time) dispatching rule; results were promising. Findings show that, in addition to its high computational speed for larger scale problem, the GA proposed here fits the non-identical parallel machine scheduling problem of minimizing the maximum completion time (makespan). 相似文献

Turkish university students (187 men and 191 women), 17–27 years old, participated in this study. They completed the Interpersonal Schema Questionnaire (C. Hill & J. Safran, 1994) and the Beck Depression Inventory (A. Beck, A. Rush, B. Shaw, and G. Emery, 1979). This study extended the research that was conducted by Hill and Safran (1994). The results of this study revealed that individuals in the high-depressive symptomatology group expected less complementary responses from significant others in friendly, dominant, and submissive situations. They expected more complementary responses from them in hostile situations. They also rated their expected responses from others as more undesirable than did individuals in the low-depressive symptomatology group. A series of bismaleimide monomers with amide groups were prepared and characterized. Structurally different bismaleimides (with amide units) were synthesized by a reaction between 4‐maleimidobenzoyl chloride and various diamines. The monomers were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. Wavelet transforms have been one of the important signal processing developments in the last decade, especially for applications such as time-frequency analysis, data compression, segmentation and vision. Although several efficient implementations of wavelet transforms have been derived, their computational burden is still considerable. The paper describes two generic parallel implementations of wavelet transforms, based on the pipeline processor farming methodology, which have the potential to achieve real-time performance. Results show that the parallel implementation of the oversampled wavelet transform achieves virtually linear speedup, while the parallel implementation of the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) also outperforms the sequential version, provided that the filter order is large. The DWT parallelisation performance improves with increasing data length and filter order, while the frequency-domain implementation performance is independent of wavelet filter order. One binary Zn–40Al and three Zn–40Al-based ternary alloys containing 1%, 3%, and 5% Cu were produced by permanent mold casting. Their fatigue behavior was investigated in 3.5% NaCl and 1% HCl solutions by a rotary bending fatigue test machine at a frequency of 33.3 Hz. The stress amplitude versus number of cycles to failure (S–N) curves of the alloys was plotted for both environments. Corrosion degradation factors of the alloys were determined. The corrosion environments reduced the fatigue strength and fatigue life of the alloys considerably. However, acid solution was found to be more detrimental for these alloys than the salt water. In addition, copper content was found to be less effective on the fatigue strength and fatigue life of the alloys in both salt water and acid solution than it was in air. Corrosion degradation factor of the alloys increased with increasing copper content up to approximately 3%, above which it decreased as the copper content increased. It was also shown that the fatigue data obtained from the monotectoid-based Zn–Al–Cu alloys in the corrosive environments obey the Basquin's law. 相似文献

In this study, we investigated the quality and shelf‐life of a dragee product obtained by coating a confectionery sunflower kernel with sugar syrup. The product was packed in oriented polypropylene/oriented polypropylene, oriented polypropylene/metallised oriented polypropylene, polyester/polyethylene and kept at room temperature in daylight for 5 months. At the beginning of the experiment, the dragee product was in the category of excellent sensory quality (total score of sensory evaluation is between 18.0 and 20.0) in terms of its colour, smell, taste, mastication and structure. During the storage, these properties changed and the product lost its stability. Peroxide value in the dragee product increased from 0.5 to 9.0 mmol O/kg during the 5 months of storage. The free fatty acid content also increased from 1.3% in fresh dragee product to 2.5% after 5 months of storage. The packaging material metallised polyester/polyethylene, labelled metPET/PE, has the lowest oxygen permeability (8.0 mL m?2/dan Δp 1 bar) and because of this it had the strongest influence in the prevention of hydrolytic and oxidative changes in the final product. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is twofold. On the one hand, it attempts to explore several machine learning models for pronoun resolution in Turkish, a language not sufficiently studied with respect to anaphora resolution and rarely being subjected to machine learning experiments. On the other hand, this paper offers an evaluation of the classification performances of the learning models in order to gain insight into the question of how to match a model to the task at hand. In addition to the expected observation that each model should be tuned to an optimum level of expressive power so as to avoid underfitting and overfitting, the results also suggest that non-linear models properly tuned to avoid overfitting outperform linear ones when applied to the data used in our experiments. 相似文献
