Roller compacted concrete (RCC) dams are vulnerable to cracking as a result of high tensile stresses due to material properties, thermal and mechanical loads. Making reliable prediction of stress fields, and thereby temperature cracking risk form an important part of the material modelling. The present study figures out the changes in thermal stresses and crack fields of the Kinta RCC dam at the end of the construction and its service life. Water temperature at various levels of the reservoir and its fluctuations were considered in the present study. The developed finite element program has been used in the analysis. Based on the obtained results, it is revealed that there is an increase in the thermal stresses after some years of dam completion. However, their location and distribution are mostly similar.  相似文献

A hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) was introduced to allocate optimum amount of gas. This method was applied to a group of wells in gas lift in the case of availability limited amount of gas. For testing the ability of the proposed HGA, the results of this work with those of previous works in a field with six wells were compared. Then for an Iranian southern west oil field with nine wells, gas allocation is performed using different amount of available gas. The results show that the introduced method (HGA) is very efficient tool in gas allocation issue.  相似文献

We isolated peroxisome biogenesis-defective mutants from Chinese hamster ovary cells by the 9-(1'-pyrene)nonanol/ultraviolet (P9OH/UV) method. Seven cell mutants, ZP116, ZP119, ZP160, ZP161, ZP162, ZP164, and ZP165, of 11 P9OH/UV-resistant cell clones showed cytosolic localization of catalase, a peroxisomal matrix enzyme, apparently indicating a defect of peroxisome biogenesis. By transfection of PEX cDNAs and cell fusion analysis, mutants ZP119 and ZP165 were found to belong to a novel complementation group (CG), distinct from earlier mutants. CG analysis by cell fusion with fibroblasts from patients with peroxisome biogenesis disorders such as Zellweger syndrome indicated that ZP119 and ZP165 were in the same CG as the most recently identified human CG-J. The peroxisomal matrix proteins examined, including PTS1 proteins as well as a PTS2 protein, 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase, were also found in the cytosol in ZP119 and ZP165. Furthermore, these mutants showed typical peroxisome assembly-defective phenotype such as severe loss of resistance to 12-(1'-pyrene)dodecanoic acid/UV treatment. Most strikingly, peroxisomal reminiscent vesicular structures, so-called peroxisomal ghosts noted in all CGs of earlier Chinese hamster ovary cell mutants as well as in eight CGs of patients' fibroblasts, were not discernible in ZP119 and ZP165, despite normal synthesis of peroxisomal membrane proteins. Accordingly, ZP119 and ZP165 are the first cell mutants defective in import of both soluble and membrane proteins, representing the 14th peroxisome-deficient CG in mammals, including humans.  相似文献

A sensitive and selective solid phase extraction procedure for the determination of traces of Cu(II), Zn(II), Pb(II) and Fe(III) has been developed. An alumina-sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) coated on with meso-phenyl bis(indolyl) methane (MPBIM) was used for preconcentration and determination of Cu(II), Zn(II), Pb(II) and Fe(III) ions by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The analyte ions were adsorbed quantitatively on adsorbent due to their complexation with MPBIM. Adsorbed metals were quantitatively eluted using 6 mL of 4 mol L−1 nitric acid. The effects of parameters such as pH, amount of alumina, amount of MBITP, flow rate, type and concentration of eluting agent were examined. The effects of interfering ions on the separation-preconcentration of analytes were also investigated. The relative standard deviation of the method was found to be less than 3.0%. The presented procedure was successfully applied for determination of analytes in real samples.  相似文献

A simple, selective and rapid flotation method for the separation-preconcentration of trace amounts of cobalt, nickel, iron and copper ions using phenyl 2-pyridyl ketone oxime (PPKO) has been developed prior to their flame atomic absorption spectrometric determinations. The influence of pH, amount of PPKO as collector, type and amount of eluting agent, type and amount of surfactant as floating agent and ionic strength was evaluated on the recoveries of analytes. The influences of the concomitant ions on the recoveries of the analyte ions were also examined. The enrichment factor was 93. The detection limits based on 3 sigma for Cu, Ni, Co and Fe were 0.7, 0.7, 0.8, and 0.7 ng mL(-1), respectively. The method has been successfully applied for determination of trace amounts of ions in various real samples.  相似文献

A cloud point extraction procedure was presented for the preconcentration of copper, nickel and cobalt ions in various samples. After complexation with methyl-2-pyridylketone oxime (MPKO) in basic medium, analyte ions are quantitatively extracted to the phase rich in Triton X-114 following centrifugation. 1.0 mol L−1 HNO3 nitric acid in methanol was added to the surfactant-rich phase prior to its analysis by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). The adopted concentrations for MPKO, Triton X-114 and HNO3, bath temperature, centrifuge rate and time were optimized. Detection limits (3 SDb/m) of 1.6, 2.1 and 1.9 ng mL−1 for Cu2+, Co2+ and Ni2+ along with preconcentration factors of 30 and for these ions and enrichment factor of 65, 58 and 67 for Cu2+, Ni2+ and Co2+, respectively. The high efficiency of cloud point extraction to carry out the determination of analytes in complex matrices was demonstrated. The proposed procedure was applied to the analysis of biological, natural and wastewater, soil and blood samples.  相似文献

Novel Cu2+ ion selective electrode in carbon paste matrices based on incorporation of bis(2-hydroxynaphthaldehydene)-1,6-hexanediamine (BHNHDA) has been developed. The influence of variables including sodium tetraphenylborate (NaTPB), ionophore, and amount of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and Nujol and effect of two new nanoparticles including gold nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (Au-NP-AC) and zinc sulfide nanoparticles loaded on activated carbon (ZnS-NP-AC) on the electrodes response was studied and optimized. At optimum specified conditions, the proposed electrodes have appropriate advantages such as short response times and suitable reproducibility and applicability for a period of at least 1 month without any significant divergence in slope and response properties. The sensor based on impregnations of MWCNT, Au-NP-AC and ZnS-NP-AC have wide linear range of concentration (6 × 10?8–1.0 × 10?1 mol L?1) and detection limit of lower than 4 × 10?8 mol L?1 of Cu2+ ion. The electrodes based on incorporation of Au-NP-AC and ZnS-NP-AC have Nernstian response with slope of 29.34 ± 1.41 and 29.78 ± 1.23 mV decade?1 and response is independent of pH in the range of 2.0–5.0. Finally, these electrodes have been successfully applied for the determination of Cu2+ ions content in various real samples. Due to their acceptable selectivity coefficient, they are usable for accurate and successful evaluation of Cu2+ ions content in various real sample with complicated matrices.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Background: Cocoa and dark chocolate (DC) have been reported to be effective for health promotion; however the exact effect of cocoa/DC on anthropometric measures have not been yet defined. Methods: A comprehensive search to identify randomized clinical trials investigating the impact of cocoa/DC on body weight, body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) was performed up to December 2017. A meta-analysis of eligible studies was performed using random effects model to estimate pooled effect size. Fractional polynominal modeling was used to explore dose-response relationships. Results: A total of 35 RCTs investigated the effects of cocoa/DC on weight, BMI and WC were included. Meta-analysis did not suggest any significant effect of cocoa/DC supplementation on body weight (?0.108 kg, 95% CI ?0.262, 0.046 P = 0.168), BMI (?0.014 kg/m2 95% CI ?0.105, 0.077, P: 0.759,) and WC (0.025 cm 95% CI ?0.083, 0.129, P = 0.640). Subgroup analysis revealed that that weight and BMI were reduced with cocoa/DC supplementation ≥ 30 g chocolate per day in trials between 4-8 weeks. Cocoa/DC consumption resulted in WC reduction in non-linear fashion (r = 0.042, P-nonlinearity = 0.008).Conclusion: Cocoa/DC supplementation does not reduce anthropometric measures significantly. However subgroup analysis regarding dose (≥ 30 g/day) and duration (between 4 to 8 weeks) revealed significant reduction of body weight and BMI.  相似文献

A new and efficient solid phase extraction method is described for the preconcentration of trace heavy metal ions. The method is based on the adsorption of Fe(3+), Cu(2+) and Zn(2+) on 2-phenyl-1H-benzo[d] imidazole (PHBI) loaded on Triton X-100-coated polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The influences of the analytical parameters including pH and sample volume were investigated. Common coexisting ions did not interfere on the separation and determination of analytes under study. The adsorbed analytes were desorbed by using 5 mL of 4 mol L(-1) nitric acid. The preconcentration factor is 90. The detection limits (3 sigma) were in the range of 0.95-1 microg L(-1). The sorbent exhibited excellent stability and its sorption capacity under optimum conditions has been found to be more than 2.7 mg of ions per gram of sorbent. The recoveries of analytes were generally higher than 95%. The relative standard deviations (R.S.D.s) were generally lower than 4%. The method has been successfully applied to some real samples.  相似文献

A simple and accurate spectrophotometric method for determination of trace and ultra-trace amounts of Al3+ ion in tap and wastewater sample has been described. Using the eriochrome cyanine R (ECR) in the presence of N,N-dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (DTAB) as cationic surfactant spectrophotometric determination of Al3+ ion has been carried out. The Beer's law is obeyed over the concentration range of 4-400 ng mL(-1) of Al3+ ion with the detection limits of 0.14 ng mL(-1), while the molar absorptivity of complexes is 1.19x10(5) L mol(-1) cm(-1). The influence of type and amount of surfactant, pH, and amount of ligand on sensitivity of spectrophotometric method were optimized. The method has been successfully applied for Al3+ ion determination in real sample.  相似文献
