The behaviour of two‐phase gas‐liquid flows in a stopper‐rod controlled submerged entry nozzle (SEN) is investigated in water model experiments. The observed two‐phase flow patterns can be classified into either bubble coring or bubbly slug. The scaling of the two‐phase flows by means of similarity parameters is discussed. In the experiments, it is found that the liquid flow rates depend strongly on the two‐phase flow patterns. Additionally, the influence of swirl on the flow patterns is investigated in detail. It is shown that swirl has a marked impact on the transition from bubble coring to bubbly slug. Finally, an estimation of the two‐phase argon‐steel flow patterns in industrialscale SEN flows is given. 相似文献

Nanostructured thin films of lead sulfide have been synthesized by a new electrochemical approach based on the underpotential deposition (UPD) of Pb and S from the saturated solution of PbS containing excess of PbS particles as a source of Pb2+ and S2− at various temperatures.We have demonstrated that this new electrochemical route is a simple method with several advantages, including better control of the growth conditions and a one-step process to obtain the nanostructures of PbS. Scanning probe microscopy studies indicate that the growth of PbS nanofilms follows a two-dimensional layer-by-layer growth kinetics at the beginning of electrodeposition but a three-dimensional growth dominates after the formation of the first few layers. The results of morphological and structural investigations reveal that PbS nanostructures grown by this method are single-crystalline in cubic structure and have a preferential orientation along the [2 0 0] direction. The optical absorption spectra of PbS nanostructures show the blue-shift with respect to those of the bulk counterpart, which are attributed as quantum-size effect. 相似文献

In the present study, antileukemic enzyme L-asparaginase (ASNase) was encapsulated into poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) nanocapsules in order to decrease the immunogenicity and toxicity of the enzyme and to increase its in vivo half life in mice. Nanocapsules were prepared by water-in-oil-in-water approach and each phase was changed systematically. By changing the pH of the w2 phase to the isolelectric point of L-ASNase, the encapsulation efficiency was increased from 23.7% to 28.0%. Also, modification of ASNase with PEG2 increased the encapsulation efficiency from 23.7% to 27.9% and protected the enzyme against denaturation. Combination of the various optima enabled a substantial increase in the activity (0.074–0.429 U/mg nanocapsule). The enzyme activity in the blood due to unmodified PHBV nanocapsules dropped to 38% of its initial value 4 h after injection. When the same sample was tested for the enzyme content in the circulation by using the radio-labeled enzyme a much lower enzyme (30% of initial) could be detected after a shorter time (3 h). The PHBV nanocapsules with heparin conjugated on their surface had a longer presence in the circulation than unmodified PHBV nanocapsules. After 6 h, around 50% of the enzyme was still present in the blood. Radioactivity measurements using the same sample showed a sharp decrease in enzyme amount in the circulation in the early stages. However, radioactivity was still detectable at the eighth hour. No adverse effects and symptoms of anaphylaxis were observed upon injection of encapsulated ASNase-PHBV nanocapsules to mice i.v. through the tail vein. 相似文献

TEM images of thin foils with quasi-globular particles are examined by means of two methods of spatial statistics. The spatial arrangement of particle reference points is described by means of quadrat count statistics and by polygonal method (the analysis of the Voronoi mosaic generated by patterns of particle reference points). of the central nervous system (CNS) in controlling limb movement, none were able to reveal the exact methods how the movement
command from CNS is mapped onto the neuromuscular activity. As a preliminary study of human-machine interface design, the
characteristics of human leg motion and its underlying motor control scheme are studied through experiments and simulations
in this paper. The findings in this study suggest a simple open-loop motor control scheme in leg motion. As a possible candidate,
an equilibrium point control model appears consistent in recreating the experimental data in numerical simulations. Based

In a commercial (DT) driven fusion reactor, the tritium breeding ratio per incident fusion neutron must be greater than 1.05 to maintain tritium self-sufficiency for the driver. In this study tritium breeding capability of three different coolants, namely Flibe (LiF·BeF2), Flinabe (LiF·NaF·BeF2), and Li20Sn80 in a (DT) driven fusion-fission (hybrid) reactor was investigated for different refractory alloys (W-5Re, TZM, T111, and Nb-1Zr) as structural material. Neutron transport calculations were conducted with the help of SCALE 4.3 SYSTEM by solving the Boltzmann transport equation with code XSDRNPM. The contribution of Flibe, Flinabe, and Li20Sn80 with respect to 6Li enrichment in their lithium content to overall TBR was investigated.
