Van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures of 2D atomically thin layered materials (2DLMs) provide a unique platform for constructing optoelectronic devices by staking 2D atomic sheets with unprecedented functionality and performance. A particular advantage of these vdW heterostructures is the energy band engineering of 2DLMs to achieve interlayer excitons through type‐II band alignment, enabling spectral range exceeding the cutoff wavelengths of the individual atomic sheets in the 2DLM. Herein, the high performance of GaTe/InSe vdW heterostructures device is reported. Unexpectedly, this GaTe/InSe vdWs p–n junction exhibits extraordinary detectivity in a new shortwave infrared (SWIR) spectrum, which is forbidden by the respective bandgap limits for the constituent GaTe (bandgap of ≈1.70 eV in both the bulk and monolayer) and InSe (bandgap of ≈1.20–1.80 eV depending on thickness reduction from bulk to monolayer). Specifically, the uncooled SWIR detectivity is up to ≈1014 Jones at 1064 nm and ≈1012 Jones at 1550 nm, respectively. This result indicates that the 2DLM vdW heterostructures with type‐II band alignment produce an interlayer exciton transition, and this advantage can offer a viable strategy for devising high‐performance optoelectronics in SWIR or even longer wavelengths beyond the individual limitations of the bandgaps and heteroepitaxy of the constituent atomic layers.  相似文献

The composition and phase constituency of Mo–Si–B alloys are known to be important parameters in determining the oxidation response. For three phase Mo + T2 + Mo3Si alloys with constant composition and phase constituency, it is observed that a refined microstructure scale provides superior oxidation resistance. The transient stage of oxidation is shortened and the recession of the alloy is decreased with microstructural refinement. In order to identify the phase interaction during the transient stage, oxidation of each of the three alloy phases, Mo, Mo3Si (A15) and Mo5SiB2 (T2) has been investigated separately. Quantification of the separate phase size distributions by image analysis was coupled with the individual phase oxidation response to evaluate the overall oxidation behavior and phase interaction effects. A kinetic model for oxidation of Mo–Si–B alloys is proposed that incorporates the key role of microstructure scale on the transient stage and provides guidance for microstructure design.  相似文献

The phase assemblage in Ag tapes with molten or partially molten Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu oxide cores of stoichiometries in the immediate vicinity of Bi:Sr:Ca:Cu = 2:2:1:2 was characterized. Four types of melt behavior were found. The results are discussed in terms of their relevance to the processing of superconducting Ag-clad Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu oxide wires.  相似文献

Changes in the renin–angiotensin system, known for its critical role in the regulation of blood pressure and sodium homeostasis, may contribute to aging and age-related diseases. While the renin–angiotensin system is suppressed during aging, little is known about its regulation and activity within tissues. However, this knowledge is required to successively treat or prevent renal disease in the elderly. Ercc1 is involved in important DNA repair pathways, and when mutated causes accelerated aging phenotypes in humans and mice. In this study, we hypothesized that unrepaired DNA damage contributes to accelerated kidney failure. We tested the use of the renin-activatable near-infrared fluorescent probe ReninSense680™ in progeroid Ercc1d/− mice and compared renin activity levels in vivo to wild-type mice. First, we validated the specificity of the probe by detecting increased intrarenal activity after losartan treatment and the virtual absence of fluorescence in renin knock-out mice. Second, age-related kidney pathology, tubular anisokaryosis, glomerulosclerosis and increased apoptosis were confirmed in the kidneys of 24-week-old Ercc1d/− mice, while initial renal development was normal. Next, we examined the in vivo renin activity in these Ercc1d/− mice. Interestingly, increased intrarenal renin activity was detected by ReninSense in Ercc1d/− compared to WT mice, while their plasma renin concentrations were lower. Hence, this study demonstrates that intrarenal RAS activity does not necessarily run in parallel with circulating renin in the aging mouse. In addition, our study supports the use of this probe for longitudinal imaging of altered RAS signaling in aging.  相似文献
