Two sources of excitation of photoluminescence of porous silicon

The change occurring in the photoluminescence spectra and the photoluminescence excitation spectra during aging of porous-silicon samples in air and in vacuum has been investigated. It was found that the character of the photoluminescence changes occurring during aging depends on the wavelength of the exciting light: In the case of excitation in the visible-range band of the luminescence excitation spectrum (λ_exc>490 nm) the photoluminescence decreases and in the case of excitation in the ultraviolet band it predominantly increases. It is shown that the two bands of the luminescence excitation spectrum (visible and ultraviolet) correspond to two different objects on the surface of the porous layer. Fiz. Tekh. 单模光纤的传输衰减随温度变化的研究

本文从实验上测量了单模石英光纤在－50～120℃范围内的损耗。随着温度升高，光纤的损耗随之降低，在常温附近达到最小。其后损耗随着温度的继续升高而增加。损耗的变化主要是由于杂质的吸收和微弯损耗。本文对杂质的吸收以及微弯损耗进行了数值模拟，并且从理论上定性地解释了损耗对温度的依赖关系。

Calculating Corrosion Parameters of Sheet and Wire (Helical) Samples when Classifying Atmospheric Corrosivity

The report deals with mathematical expressions derived for the purpose of calculating atmospheric corrosion rates, including those of changes in total weights and weights of corrosion products retained at the surface of flat sheets and wire helices used as samples in monitoring the corrosivity of the environment according to the International Standards ISO 9223 and ISO 9226.     

Lining of the sectional heating furnace of the TPA 30–102 mill

The operation of linings of sections of heating furnaces of old and new designs is considered. Specifications for periclase-chromite mortar produced by the Pervoural'sk New Pipe Plant are worked out. Tuning a three-loop steam temperature regulation system using the method of evolutionary simulation

We present the results from tuning a PI controller and two differentiators for a three-loop steam temperature regulation system with two leading speed signals. The calculation was carried out with a numerical method using a simulation model and with the application of the authors’ version of the evolutionary optimization algorithm.     

A comparison of procedures for estimating the impact of nondensable gases on steam condensation taking into account the interaction of power engineering processes in the primary circuit of a nuclear power installation

We consider two procedures for evaluating the influence of nondensables on steam condensation taking into account the integral effect from interaction between the water-chemistry and thermal-hydrodynamic processes occurring in the primary coolant circuit of a nuclear power installation (NPI). Results from calculations of the passive safety system of an NPI are given.     

Calculations of heat flowrates to the VVER-440 reactor vessel during interaction of corium melt with the reactor vessel

Quasi-steady-state thermal conditions of the corium bath found on a reactor vessel bottom is considered. Using approximate heat transfer models proposed earlier, a conjugate problem is solved with taking into account radiation heat transfer in the space above the bath surface. The results of calculations of heat flow-rates from the corium bath to the VVER-440 reactor vessel are presented. It is shown that water delivery to the bath surface leads to an essential decrease in the heat flowrate towards the wall in the most dangerous area, where a layer of melted steel contacts the reactor vessel, and retains a possibility of keeping the melt inside the reactor vessel under external cooling.
