In this paper, a hybrid method is proposed for multi-channel electroencephalograms (EEG) signal compression. This new method takes advantage of two different compression techniques: fractal and wavelet-based coding. First, an effective decorrelation is performed through the principal component analysis of different channels to efficiently compress the multi-channel EEG data. Then, the decorrelated EEG signal is decomposed using wavelet packet transform (WPT). Finally, fractal encoding is applied to the low frequency coefficients of WPT, and a modified wavelet-based coding is used for coding the remaining high frequency coefficients. This new method provides improved compression results as compared to the wavelet and fractal compression methods.  相似文献

In this study, the strain rate effects on transverse tensile and compressive properties of unidirectional Glass fiber reinforced polymeric composites are investigated. To demonstrate strain rate effects, the tensile and compressive composite specimens with identical configuration are fabricated and tested to failure in the transverse direction at quasi-static strain rate of approximately 0.001 s−1 and intermediate strain rates of 1–100 s−1. The tensile and compressive tests are performed using a servo-hydraulic testing apparatus equipped with strain rate increasing mechanisms. For performing the practical tests, a jig and a fixture and other test supplies are designed and manufactured. The performance of the test jig is evaluated and showed that it is adequate for composites testing under tension and compression loads. The effects of strain rate on mechanical properties (maximum strength, modulus, and strain to failure) are considered. The characteristic results for the transverse properties indicate that damage evolution is strain-rate-dependent for the examined material. Also, a strain-rate-dependent empirical material model associated with different regression constants is proposed based on the experimental results obtained to characterize the rate dependent behavior of Glass/Epoxy composite material.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the removal of free cyanide from aqueous solution by oxidation with hydrogen peroxide H2O2 catalyzed by copper-impregnated activated carbon. Effects of initial molar ratio [H2O2]0/[CN]0, copper-impregnated activated carbon amount, pH and the temperature on cyanide removal have been investigated.The presence of copper-impregnated activated carbon has increased the reaction rate showing thus a catalytic activity. The rate of cyanides removal increases with the raise of the initial molar ratio [H2O2]0/[CN]0 and decreases with the increase in the pH from 8 to 12. The increase in the copper-impregnated activated carbon amount from 1.5 to 10 g/L in reaction solution has a beneficial effect. Beyond this value, the impact of activated carbon amount is not anymore significant. The temperature does not have a significant effect between 20 and 35 °C. The four successive times re-use of catalyst shows a good stability. The kinetics of cyanide removal has been found to be of pseudo-second-order with respect to cyanide and the rate constants have been determined. This process seems very interesting because the rate of cyanides removal is very fast, the reaction does not use soluble metal catalyst and it consumes only hydrogen peroxide as chemical product.  相似文献

This work utilizes the mechanistic modeling approach for predicting cutting forces and simulating the milling process of fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) with a straight cutting edge. Specific energy functions were developed by multiple regression analysis (MR) and committee neural network approximation (CN) of milling force data and a cutting model was developed based on these energies and the cutting geometry. It is shown that both MR and CN models are capable of predicting the cutting forces in milling of unidirectional and multidirectional composites. Model predictions were compared with experimental data and were found to be in good agreement over the entire range of fiber orientations from 0 to 180°. Furthermore, CN model predictions were found to greatly outperform MR model predictions.  相似文献

Ki-1 large cell anaplastic lymphoma is a recently described variant of malignant lymphoma. A retrospective study of 10 cases of Ki-1 lymphoma was carried out at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) Rawalpindi to document its clinical and morphological features. The morphological features were evaluated by a study of paraffin embedded sections stained with haematoxylin and eosin stains. Immunohistochemical stains for BER-H2 and leucocyte common antigen (LCA) were performed in all cases. The age of the patients ranged from 2 to 60 years and male to female ratio was 2.3:1. Cervical lymphadenopathy was the most common presentation. Histologically, there was a complete effacement of the lymph node architecture in 8 cases. The Reed-Sternberg like cells were seen in 2 and histiocyte like cells in 7 cases. Immunohistochemically all cases were positive for BER-H2. It is suggested that the possibility of Ki-1 lymphoma should be considered in all cases of lymphoma with pleomorphic morphology.  相似文献

Coker light gas oil (LGO) derived from Athabasca bitumen was hydrotreated in a fixed bed reactor using two commercial NiO-MoO3/Al203 catalysts. The effect of temperature on product quality was investigated in a pilot plant between 330 and 390 °C at 12.4 MPa, space velocity of 0.5 Ir1 and 700 liter of hydrogen per liter of coker LGO (L/L). The product quality was monitored by I3C NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, density and distillation techniques.

The data showed that coker LGO can be hydrotreated using nickel-molybdenum catalysts at 350 °C, 0.5 h1, 12.4 MPa and 700 L/L to meet the diesel product specifications, namely, 0.5 wt % sulfur, 20% aromatics and cetane index of 40. The cetane index improvement and aromatic saturation, which are affected by thermodynamic equilibrium at temperature higher than 370 °C, could reach 29 and 86% respectively. The cetane improvement was attributed to aromatic saturation and hydrocracking with hydrogen consumption ranging from 215-340 L/L. The Ketjenfine KF-840 catalyst was found slightly better performance than Procatalyse HR-348 catalyst.  相似文献

This paper presents novel and highly effective junction isolation structures for power integrated circuits. The negative feedback-activated junction isolation is presented and it is proven to be very effective in blocking substrate current from reaching the logic circuitry (orders of magnitude more effective than standard junction isolation techniques). Additionally, in an attempt to further improve the blocking capabilities of junction isolations the use of multiple or combined structures is investigated whilst keeping the surface area used for isolation device in the same range as for the single structures. All isolation structures presented here are based on a 0.6-/spl mu/m CMOS technology.  相似文献

The general corrosion behaviour of low residual steels alloyed with chromium or cobalt or molybdenum in seawater solutions was studied. The carbon content of low residual steels ranged from 0.1 to 0.4%, chromium content between 1.0 and 4.0%, cobalt content between 1.0 and 3.0%, and molybdenum content between 0.3 and 1.0%. Repeated laboratory tests demonstrated that low levels of chromium reduce the dissolution rate of low residual steels in seawater solutions. The results of this study suggest that cobalt alloying plays a neutral role, whereas molybdenum plays a major role in reducing the corrosion rates, particularly in higher carbon steels.  相似文献
