Nanocrystalline titanium dioxide (TiO2) powders have been synthesized by sol–gel method using titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) or tetrabutyl titanate (Ti(OC4H9)4 as precursors, different alcohols and calcination temperatures in the range from 400 to 650 °C. The photocatalytic activity of as-prepared powders has been tested for the degradation of metoprolol tartrate salt, a selective β-blocker used to treat a variety of cardiovascular diseases, and compared to photocatalytic activity obtained from Degussa P25. Nanosized TiO2 powders prepared from TiCl4 and amyl-alcohol, calcined at 550 °C, displayed an activity comparable to Degussa P25, whereas the sample from the same series, calcined at 650 °C, showed higher photocatalytic activity in the whole range of the catalyst loading. Structural, morphological and surface properties of synthesized TiO2 nanopowders have been investigated by XRD, SEM, EDS and BET measurements, as well as FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, in order to find out the material properties which enable rapid an efficient decomposition of metoprolol under UV radiation.  相似文献

A new micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatographic (MEKC) method has been developed for simultaneous quantitation of atorvastatin (AT) and its related substances. The separation was carried out in an extended light path capillary at applied voltage of 30 kV using a background electrolyte consisting of 10 mM sodium tetraborate buffer pH 9.5, 50 mM sodium dodecyl sulphate and 20% (v/v) methanol. The addition of methanol to the running buffer resulted in a very effective choice to achieve resolution between the peaks of charged substances adjacent to AT as well as the peaks of neutral drug-related substances. Linear calibration curves were established over the concentration range 100–1,200 μg mL?1 for AT and 1.0–12.5 μg mL?1 for related substances. The proposed MEKC procedure has been validated with respect to selectivity, precision, linearity, limits of detection, and quantitation, accuracy and robustness. The method has been successfully applied to the determination of AT and purity evaluation of bulk drug and formulated products.  相似文献

Presented in this paper is a simulation of the interaction of neutrons emitted from a cylindrical Am–Be source with a CR-39 detector. A Fortran90 program, called Neutron.f90, has been written to determine the specifications of secondary particles (alpha particle or proton) and the kinematics of the interactions. A Monte Carlo method was used to simulate which interactions occurred with the constituents of the CR-39 detector, H, C and O atoms. Due to the detector composition, elastic and nonelastic scattering of neutrons is possible. In this paper, nonelastic scattering includes: inelastic scattering; the emission of an alpha particle (n,α) reaction and the emission of a proton (n,p) reaction. Cross sections of other reactions are very small and negligible in comparison with the above mentioned. The energy deposited per unit mass per one neutron was calculated. In addition the contribution to the energy deposited by the alpha particles and protons were determined separately. The program Neutron.f90 computes the coordinates of points in which interactions occur i.e. where secondary particles appear. The energy and angular distributions of protons are also represented in this paper. Another Fortran90 program, called Track_Visibility.f90, was written to calculate the number of visible proton tracks and to calculate the energy deposited per one neutron per one visible track.  相似文献

The amplitude of a second harmonic wave (SHW) generated from Joule heating as a heat source in organic conductor β-(BEDT-TTF)2IBr2 is analyzed as a function of the magnetic field strength and its orientation with respect to the plane of the layers. Angular oscillations of the SHW amplitude are correlated with the angular changes of in-plane conductivity that arise from the periodic dependence of charge carriers velocity on the field orientation. It was found that the nonlinear effect of wave generation leads to a shift between the position of the peaks of the wave amplitude and in-plane conductivity. This allows an important information on the parameter values of organic conductors as well as wave velocity to be obtained. Magnetic field dependence shows that the wave is not strongly attenuated with increasing field and might give insights on the interactions between the electromagnetic, temperature and acoustic oscillations. We found that these observations are completely different compared to those of linear acoustic wave generation. It has been shown that the necessary conditions for observing the nonlinear acoustic wave generation are fulfilled in a wide range of fields and angles that allow the acoustic properties of organic conductors to be studied in detail.  相似文献

An improved procedure for intramolecular cyclization of tertiary alkenols using benzeneselenyl halides has been developed. We found that cyclization can be facilitated by pyridine. Thus, in the presence of an equimolar amount of pyridine, a chemospecific reaction could be observed that resulted in formation of corresponding cyclic ethers, and quantitative yields were achieved instantaneously under extremely mild experimental conditions. An improved procedure for intramolecular cyclization of some Δ5-alkenols, using PhSeX (X = Cl, Br) has been developed. We found that cyclization can be facilitated in the presence of pyridine, Ag2O, and some Lewis acids as catalysts. Thus catalytic amount of additives (pyridine and Ag2O) influences higher yields but equimolar amount achieves almost quantitative yield under extremely mild experimental conditions. In the presence of Lewis acids (ZnCl2 and FeCl3) high yields of cyclic ether products are obtained with catalytic amounts. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Summary.  The one pot reaction preparation, spectral analysis, and molecular modeling experiments on the new 3,4-annelated coumarin systems with bioactivity associated structural features are described. These provided the insight into the equilibrium of the respective tautomeric forms making possible the reconciliation of previously published spectral data with the structure assignments as well as the correction of erroneously established structures. The synthesized compounds were tested in a standard disk diffusion assay and displayed strong to moderate antimicrobial activity, with a promising new lead prototype compound (7-amino-9-hydroxy-5-oxa-7a,8,11-triazacyclopenta[b]phenanthren-6-one (5)) possessing greater activity that the antibiotics Ampicillin and Nystatin. Antioxidant capacities of the compounds, determined spectrophotometrically using a phosphomolybdenum method, were greater, and in the case of compound 5 four times the activity of α-tocopherol acetate.  相似文献

Synthesis of fullerenes from graphite powders of different grade was studied in a radiofrequency (RF) plasma reactor. Dependence of fullerene yield on the properties and feed rate of precursors and on the helium content of plasma gas was studied in details. The fullerene yield was influenced by the mean size and the thermal conductivity of graphite particles on the one hand, and the helium content of the gas phase on the other. Soot containing fullerene mixture of 5.9% was produced in best conditions found in this work. The main component of the fullerene mixture was C60. In addition, it contained about 30% of C70 (corresponding to a C60/C70 mass ratio of 2.64). Higher fullerenes such as C84 were also detected by mass spectroscopy (MS) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).  相似文献

Let k be a nonzero complex number. In this paper we show how the inverse of a nonsingular k-circulant matrix can be obtained. The method is used to determine the inverse of a nonsingular k-circulant matrix with geometric sequence. If k = 1, then we get the result presented in the paper A.C.F. Bueno, Right Circulant Matrices With Geometric Progression, Int. J. Appl. Math. Res. 1(4) (2012), 593– 603. Also, we derive the Moore-Penrose inverse of a singular k-circulant matrix with geometric sequence. At the end of the paper, we illustrate the obtained results by examples.  相似文献

The in vitro antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of two Achillea millefolium (Adanson) Koch s.l species essential oils (A. collina Becker ex Heimerl s.l. and A. pannonica Scheele, Asteraceae) originating from the Golija and Radan mountains (Serbia) were investigated. The chemical profiles of the essential oils were evaluated by GC-MS. Antioxidant activity was assessed as free radical scavenging capacity (RSC) towards 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) radicals, together with effects on lipid peroxidation (LP). Antibacterial activity was examined on 21 bacterial strains. Based on the chemical composition of the essential oil, A. collina s.l. from Mount Golija was classified as a chamazulene chemotype (tetraploid). The high percentage of oxygenated monoterpenes and absence of azulene in the essential oil obtained from A. pannonica from Radan pointing that this population is octaploid. Essential oil of A. pannonica expressed stronger antimicrobial activity on almost all tested bacteria. Furthermore, this essential oil expressed higher scavenging effects on DPPH radical (IC(50) = 0.52 comparing to 0.62 mug/mL). Only in the LP evaluation, essential oil of A. collina s.l. from Golija exhibited stronger antioxidant activity (IC(50) = 0.75 comparing to 2.12 mug/mL).  相似文献
