中国高校医学期刊刊网融合实践探索——以中国高校医学期刊网为例

在高校期刊体制改革和新媒体融合的背景下,占国内医学期刊1/3的高校医学期刊面临着巨大的机会和挑战.中国高校科技期刊研究会医学期刊专业委员会以200多家会员期刊为研究和服务对象,开拓创新,组建了"中国高校医学期刊网".网站上线了以《中国高校医学期刊·继教专刊》为代表的系列专题教材,初步形成共建共享优质医学论文资源的高校医学期刊协同合作集群.同时,网站开发了"协同审稿投稿在线办公系统",达成一个作者自选刊物、刊物自选稿件的效应平台.中国高校医学期刊网扩大了"中国高校医学期刊"的品牌影响力,为高校科技期刊的新媒体融合发展研究积累经验和提供新思路.

医学期刊水平是反映一个国家医疗及其科研水平的重要标志之一.目前以计算机联网方式检索生物医学科技文献已成为医学研究的重要部分.自20世纪90年代以来,全球的医学期刊逐步实现网络化,提供了比传统纸质期刊更丰富和智能的网络服务.与国外相比,我国医学期刊的网络化起步较晚,医学期刊需努力实现资源数字化、办公自动化、决策信息化、出版网络化.我国期刊要更好地适应信息技术的进步,需借鉴世界著名期刊网络化的成功案例,寻找差距,不断促进我国期刊网络化.     

医学期刊应重视对来稿的道德要求

比较国内外医学期刊对作者科研及投稿过程中有关道德方面的要求。发现国外医学期刊在稿约中对作者应遵守的道德法规规定得很详细，而国内期刊则较为简单，缺少很多必要的内容，与国外医学期刊存在相当大的差距。认为我国医学期刊应当重视科研及编辑出版中的道德问题。     

A Matter of Language or Culture: Coverage of the 2004 U.S. Elections on Spanish- and English-Language Television

This article fills a gap in the communication and political science literature by comparing how Spanish- and English-language television stations cover U.S. elections. A content analysis of more than 400 national network news stories and nearly 3,000 local news stories reveals that local and network Spanish-language stations provide less election coverage than their English-language counterparts. Although Spanish-language stations are more likely to focus election coverage on “Latino” issues or interests, the results indicate only moderate differences in how stations in each language frame their election stories, with stations in both languages concentrating more coverage around campaign strategy and the horse race than substantive issues.     

The MAClinical Workstation Project at Georgetown University

The intent of the MAClinical Workstation Project is to develop computer workstations for medical students of the sort they will use in future medical practice. The idea is to instill information query habits in the daily clinical activities of these young physicians-in-training. The Georgetown University Medical Center Library spearheads the project in conjunction with the School of Medicine. The library handles technical support, including software development, user training, equipment maintenance, and network installations. The project began in 1988 with nine Macintosh computers; today thirty machines are distributed throughout the Georgetown University Hospital conference rooms, faculty and resident offices, and at four affliated hospitals. The Macintosh computers are connected to the medical center's local area network (LAN) with access to the Integrated Academic Information Management System (IAIMS) and Library Information System (LIS) databases. The MAClinical workstations serve multiple educational purposes in the clinical setting. Primarily, students gain experience in medical informatics by using a variety of software systems installed at the stations: the H&P Writer, a history and physical system written in the C programming language, can be used by students to prepare the admission record on patients they examine; also, students can keep patient records, check findings against a diagnostic system, look up drugs and treatment protocols, develop medical sketches, and find additional information when needed in the medical literature.     

Equal time: Origins of section 18 of the radio act of 1927

This study examined the effects of television network affiliation switches that took place in the Miami market in January, 1989. Results indicate viewer loyalty to local news, especially early local news, although not necessarily to local stations, and probably little to network news. Network affiliation results in primetime audiences significantly larger than those of independent stations. The findings demonstrate that structural variables are stable and predictable indicators of audience behavior.

讨论了金融信息资源在网上的分布, 包括金融信息资源的分类及其特点、各类金融信息资源在网上的分布, 涉及到相关站点、搜索引擎、电子媒体和网上数据库等。作者研究了搜索方式, 涉及到搜索引擎方式和“滚雪球”方式, 前者包括直接搜索和分类浏览, 并对后者检索原理与引文索引方式进行了比较。     

Factors that influence the establishment of a network of medical libraries in the Philippines

This paper sought to identify the factors affecting the establishment of a network of medical libraries in the Philippines. This paper dealt with the following questions: What facilitates or hinders the establishment of a network of medical libraries in the Philippines? What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a network? Is it feasible to establish such a network? Who will manage the network? What are the network’s functions and services? What are the requirements to join this network? What are the governing policies and guidelines? The researcher sent survey questionnaires to heads of medical libraries who are members of the Medical and Health Librarians Association of the Philippines (MAHLAP) and/or the Association of Philippine Medical Colleges (APMC). After the initial survey, the researcher conducted focus group discussions (FGD) participated by the MAHLAP 2010 Board of Officers. The researcher also interviewed networking experts and heads of medical institutions to obtain their opinion and suggestions on network establishment. Frequency analysis was used to count preferences of librarians regarding the facilitating and hindering factors affecting the establishment of a network of medical libraries. The study revealed that the key factors affecting the establishment of a network include administrative support and budget to address hindrances such as networking costs and other requirements for joining a network. Attaining these key factors directs the readiness of medical librarians and libraries to establish a medical library network. The researcher recommends that potential member libraries sit down and further discuss the establishment of a network of medical libraries. MAHLAP should take the initiative to convene its members and present to them draft policies and guidelines. Once discussed, this can be submitted to APMC for the head’s of institution review and approval. Once the invitation for membership is approved, librarians can meet to finalize the guidelines.

全国文化信息资源共享工程乡村基层服务点是工程服务体系的组成部分,也是工程建设的重点和难点。通过与不同系统、不同部门的共建共享,文化信息资源共享工程乡村基层服务点实现了又好又快的发展,大大缩短了广大农民享用文化大餐的周期。初步形成由文化信息资源共享工程提供数字资源,通过合作伙伴的服务网络传递到乡村,服务广大农民的共建共享模式。     

A case study of KGAY: The rise and fall of the first gay and Lesbian radio network

This case study will explore the rise, and more importantly the reasons for the fall, of the KGAY Radio Network. Based in Denver, KGAY was the first daily radio network to air music, news, and information via satellite to gay and lesbian listeners in North America, Canada, and the Caribbean. To date, there are no radio stations serving gay and lesbian listeners 24 hours a day. This paper also provides an overview of gay and lesbian programming on commercial and noncommercial radio stations.
