目的:研究祁州漏芦(以下简称"漏芦")不同溶剂提取物对急性肝损伤模型小鼠的保护作用。方法:60只KM种小鼠随机分为正常对照(等容生理盐水)组、模型(等容生理盐水)组、联苯双酯(100 mg/kg)组、漏芦乙醇粗提物(200 mg/kg)组、漏芦正丁醇提取物(200 mg/kg)组和漏芦水提取物(200 mg/kg)组。灌胃给药,每天1次,连续7 d。末次给药1 h后,一次性腹腔注射300 mg/kg对乙酰氨基酚(APAP)以复制小鼠急性肝损伤模型。比色法检测小鼠血清丙氨酸氨基转移酶(ALT)、天冬氨酸氨基转移酶(AST)、碱性磷酸酶(ALP)、白蛋白(ALB),肝匀浆丙二醛(MDA)、还原型谷胱甘肽(GSH)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GPx)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、谷胱甘肽-S-转移酶(GST),肝线粒体Na+-K+-ATP酶(Na+-K+-ATPase)、Ca2+-Mg2+-ATP酶(Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase)水平。结果:与正常对照组比较,模型组小鼠血清ALT、AST和ALP活性增强,ALB含量降低;肝组织MDA含量增加,CAT、GPx、SOD、GST活性减弱,GSH含量减少;肝线粒体Na+-K+-ATPase和Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase活性减弱,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。与模型组比较,漏芦乙醇粗提物组小鼠血清ALT、AST活性减弱,ALB含量增加,肝匀浆MDA含量减少,GSH含量增加,CAT、GPx、SOD、GST活性增强,肝线粒体Na+-K+-ATPase和Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase活性增强,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05);漏芦正丁醇提取物组小鼠血清ALT、AST、ALP活性减弱,ALB含量增加,肝匀浆MDA含量减少,GSH含量增加,CAT、GPx、SOD、GST活性增强,肝线粒体Na+-K+-ATPase和Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase活性增强,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05);漏芦水提取物组小鼠血清ALT、AST活性减弱,ALB含量增加,肝匀浆MDA含量减少,GSH含量增加,GPx、GST活性增强,肝线粒体Na+-K+-ATPase和Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase活性增强,差异具有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:漏芦不同溶剂提取物对APAP致小鼠急性肝损伤具有保护作用,其机制可能与其抗氧化作用有关。  相似文献

Mature male Wistar rats were given chlorpyrifos (5.4 mg/kg, 1/25 of the oral LD(50)), catechin (20 mg/kg),quercetin (20 mg/kg), catechin plus chlorpyrifos, and quercetin plus chlorpyrifos daily via gavage for four weeks. No statistical differences were found in the catechin-only and quercetin-only groups compared with the control group. By the end of the fourth week, chlorpyrifos alone increased the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), while decreased glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) activities compared with the control group in rat testis tissues. In the catechin-plus-chlorpyrifos and quercetin-plus-chlorpyrifos groups, there were statistically significantly decreased MDA levels, SOD and CAT activities, while increased GPx and GST activities compared with the chlorpyrifos-only group. Light microscopic analyses revealed that chlorpyrifos-only induced numerous histopathological changes in the testis tissues. Milder pathological alterations were observed in rats catechin-plus-chlorpyrifos, and quercetin-plus-chlorpyrifos. Thus, it appears that catechin and quercetin ameliorate chlorpyrifos induced toxicity except histopathological changes in rat testis tissues.  相似文献

The mature male Wistar rats (n = 36, 300–320 g) were divided into six groups having six animals, i.e., Group I (control), Group II (catechin, 20 mg/kg bw), Group III (quercetin, 20 mg/kg bw), Group IV (chlorpyrifos 5.4 mg/kg, 1/25 LD50), Group V (catechin + chlorpyrifos) and Group VI (quercetin + chlorpyrifos). Rats were given chlorpyrifos, catechin and quercetin daily via gavage for 4 weeks. Chlorpyrifos increased the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and catalase (CAT), and decreased glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) activities in lung tissues compared to the control group. In the catechin plus chlorpyrifos- and quercetin plus chlorpyrifos-treated groups, there were statistically significant increases in CAT and SOD activities, while no statistically significant changes were observed in MDA, GST and GPx activities relative to the control. Compared to the chlorpyrifos-treated group, however, the catechin plus chlorpyrifos- and quercetin plus chlorpyrifos-treated groups showed significantly increased GST and GPx activity, while the activity of MDA, SOD and CAT was significantly decreased. Light microscopic investigations revealed that 4 weeks of chlorpyrifos exposure induced numerous histopathological alterations in the lung. Milder histopathological changes were observed in animals co-treated with catechin plus chlorpyrifos or quercetin plus chlorpyrifos. Thus, it appears that catechin and quercetin ameliorate chlorpyrifos-induced lung toxicity but are not completely protective.  相似文献

This study was designed to examine the oxidative stress potential of di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) on rat kidney and to evaluate possible protective effect of selenium (Se) status. Se deficiency (SeD) was produced in 3-week old Sprague?Dawley rats by feeding them ≤ 0.05 Se mg/kg diet for 5 weeks; Se supplementation group (SeS) was on 1 mg Se/kg diet. DEHP treated groups received 1000 mg/kg dose by gavage during the last 10 days of the feeding period. Activities of antioxidant selenoenzymes [glutathione peroxidase 1 (GPx1), glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPx4), thioredoxin reductase (TrxR)], catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione S-transferase (GST); concentrations of total glutathione (GSH), thiols and thiobarbituric acid reactive substance (TBARS) levels were measured. DEHP treatment was found to induce oxidative stress in rat kidney, as evidenced by significant decreases in GPx1 (~20%) and SOD (~30%) activities and GSH levels (~20%), along with marked decrease in thiol content (~40%) and increase in TBARS (~30%) levels. The effects of DEHP was more pronounced in SeD rats, whereas Se supplementation was protective by providing substantial elevations of GPx1 and GPx4 activities and GSH levels. These findings emphasized the critical role of Se as an effective redox regulator and the importance of Se status in protecting renal tissue from the oxidant stressor activity of DEHP.  相似文献

We have performed this study to investigate the modulatory effect of bis-1,7-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-hepta-1,6-diene-3,5-dione, a bisdemethoxy curcumin analog (BDMCA) on circulatory lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidant status during 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH)-induced colon carcinogenesis in male Wistar rats. The effects were compared with that of the reference drug, curcumin. Increased tumor incidence as well as enhanced LPO in the circulation of tumor bearing rats was accompanied by a significant decrease in the level of reduced glutathione and activities of glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione S-transferase (GST), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT). Intragastric administration of BDMCA or curcumin to DMH-treated rats significantly decreased colon tumor incidence and the circulatory LPO, with simultaneous enhancement of GSH content and GPx, GST, SOD and CAT activities. We report that BDMCA exert its chemopreventive effect by decreasing the colon tumor incidence as well as by modulating circulatory oxidative stress in DMH-treated rats through its influence on LPO and antioxidant status. The effects of BDMCA were comparable with that of the reference compound curcumin, a well known anticarcinogen and antioxidant. Thus, it would be suggested that the methoxy group is not responsible for the beneficial effects, however, the terminal phenolic moieties or the central 7-carbon chain may play a role.  相似文献

In this study, the effect of rutin (RT) was investigated on lead-induced testis tissue damage in rats. Oral administration of rutin (50?mg/kg) effectively inhibited the levels of marker enzymes and antioxidant enzymes as compared with lead acetate-treated group. Antioxidant enzyme activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione-S-transferase (GST), and histopathological changes of testes were investigated. Lead acetate decreased the levels of SOD, CAT, GPx, and GST compared with the control group. Light microscopic analyses revealed that lead acetate induced several histopathological changes in testis tissue. In the RT-treated group, there were statistically significantly decreases in antioxidant enzyme activities and pathological changes in the tissue. The results suggest that RT possesses significant potential in reduced lead acetate-induced testicular toxicity.  相似文献

Endosulfan is widely used in insect control and it is absorbed by both humans and animals through ingestion, inhalation and percutaneously. The aim of this work was to study antioxidant enzyme system which include superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and catalase (CAT) and malondialdehyde (MDA), the end product of lipid peroxidation and ultrastructural changes that might occur in the heart tissue of adult male Wistar rats as a result of endosulfan intoxication. Vitamin E (200 mg/kg, twice a week), endosulfan (2 mg/kg, per day, once a day in corn oil) and vitamin E (200 mg/kg, twice a week)+endosulfan (2 mg/kg, per day, once a day in corn oil) combination were given to rats (n = 10/group) orally via gavage for 6 weeks. SOD, GPx, CAT activities and MDA level increased in the endosulfan-treated group heart tissue compared to control group (P < 0.01, P < 0.01, P < 0.05 and P < 0.01, respectively). SOD, GPx activities and MDA level decreased in the vitamin E + endosulfan-treated group compared to endosulfan-treated group (P < 0.05, P < 0.05 and P < 0.05, respectively). Decrease of CAT activity was not significant statistically in the vitamin E + endosulfan-treated group compared to endosulfan-treated group. CAT activity increased in the vitamin E + endosulfan treated group compared to control group (P < 0.05). Increase of SOD, GPx activities and MDA levels were not significant statistically in the vitamin E + endosulfan-treated group compared to control group. In electron microscopic investigations while cytoplasmic edema and swelling and vacuolization of mitochondria of myocardial cells in endosulfan-treated group was observing, only a weak swelling of mitochondria of myocardial cells in vitamin E + endosulfan-treated group was observed. We conclude that vitamin E significantly reduce endosulfan-induced cardiotoxicity in rats.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to elucidate the antioxidant properties of fucoidan extracts (FE) against CCl(4)-induced oxidative stress by monitoring the levels of glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT), glutamate pyruvate transaminase (GPT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx). Female, Sparague-Dowley rats were administered with FE (100 mg/kg daily) for 14 days and CCl(4) on the 15'th day, 12 h before they were sacrificed. The levels of GOT, GPT, ALP and LDH in serum of rats, as well as the levels of MDA, SOD, CAT and GPx in total liver homogenate were analyzed. CCl(4)-treatment was found to increase the levels of GOT, GPT, ALP, LDH and MDA, as well as decrease levels of SOD, CAT and GPx significantly. The pre-treatment of rats with FE, however, suppressed the increment of levels of GOT, GPT, ALP, LDH and MDA, as well as recovered the levels of SOD, CAT and GPx in CCl(4)-treated rats. Moreover there was a significant decrease in incidences of necrosis and cirrhosis in the liver tissue of FE-treated rats. These results implied that FE possessed antioxidant properties against CCl(4)-induced oxidative stress.  相似文献

A randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled clinical study was performed to evaluate the antioxidant effects of fermented sea tangle (FST) on healthy volunteers with high levels of γ-glutamyltransferse (γ-GT). Forty-eight participants were divided into a placebo group and an FST group that received FST (1.5 g/day) for 4 weeks. Serum γ-GT, malondialdehyde (MDA), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activities were determined before and after the trial. Administering FST significantly decreased serum levels of γ-GT and MDA. Additionally, SOD and CAT activities were significantly augmented compared to those in the placebo group after 4 weeks, but no significant alteration was observed in GPx activity compared to that in the placebo group. Our findings indicate that FST enhanced the antioxidant defense system in a healthy population and may be useful as a functional food ingredient.  相似文献

Artemisia campestris is used as antivenom and anti-inflammatory Tunisian folk medicine. Recently, increased oxidative stress was shown to play an important role in the etiology and pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and its complications. This study was designed to examine the effects of A. campestris leaf aqueous extract (Ac) on alloxan-induced diabetic rats by measuring glycemia, lipid profile, lipid peroxidation (MDA), protein carbonyl content (PCO), advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP), activities of both non-enzymatic and enzymatic antioxidants. Results of our study showed an increase in blood glucose levels, total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), a decrease in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) level and disturbed antioxidant enzyme activities (CAT, SOD, GPx) in the pancreatic tissue of diabetic rats. Furthermore, MDA, PCO and AOPP were elevated in the pancreas of the diabetic rats. The administration of Ac to diabetic rats at a dose of 200 mg kg−1 bw resulted in a significant reduction in glycemia, TC, TG, LDL-c, pancreas LPO, PCO and AOPP levels, CAT and GPx activities associated with an elevation of GSH content and SOD activity in comparison with diabetic group. We conclude that A. campestris aqueous extract may be effective for correcting hyperglycemia and preventing diabetic complications.  相似文献

目的 探讨高良姜素对D-半乳糖致衰老小鼠学习记忆能力的改善作用. 方法 皮下注射D-半乳糖制备小鼠衰老模型. 用Morris水迷宫和电跳台法测试小鼠的学习记忆能力,用生物化学方法 测定大脑海马超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GPx)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性和丙二醛(MDA)含量. 结果与正常对照组比较,模型组学习记忆能力减退,大脑海马SOD、GPx、CAT活性降低,MDA含量增高. 与模型组比较,高良姜素高、低剂量组均能显著改善衰老小鼠学习记忆能力,提高小鼠海马内SOD、GPx、CAT活性,降低MDA含量. 结论 高良姜素能显著改善D-半乳糖致衰老小鼠学习记忆能力,提高大脑海马区SOD、GPx、CAT活性,降低MDA的含量,具有较好的抗氧化能力.  相似文献

The indiscriminate use of pesticides in agriculture and public health campaigns has been associated with an increase of oxidative stress and DNA damage, resulting in health outcomes. Some defense mechanisms against free radical‐induced oxidative damage include the antioxidant enzyme systems. The aim of this study was to determine the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR), and the relationship of antioxidant enzyme levels with DNA damage among sprayers (workers) occupationally exposed to pesticides. The determinations of MDA and antioxidant enzymes were performed spectrophotometrically. The genotoxic effects were evaluated using the comet assay. The results showed a marginally significant decrease in SOD and CAT activities in the high exposure group compared to the control group. For MDA, statistically significant differences were found among people working long term vs. those working temporarily (P = 0.02) as sprayers. In the moderate exposure group, a positive correlation was observed between MDA levels and GPx activity. In the high exposure group, a negative correlation was observed between GR and CAT activities, and between MDA levels and GPx activities. Furthermore, in the high exposure group, a positive correlation between DNA damage parameters and MDA levels was observed. The results suggest an important role of antioxidant enzymes for the protection of DNA damage caused by occupational exposure to pesticides.  相似文献

The protective effect of a curcumin analog [bis-1,7-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-hepta-1,6-diene-3,5-dione] was investigated on hepatic lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidant status during 1,2-dimethylhydrazine-induced colon carcinogenesis in male Wistar rats. The effects were compared with that of curcumin, a known antioxidant and anticarcinogen. Colon cancer was induced by sub-cutaneous injection of DMH at a dosage of 20mg/kg body weight (15 doses, at 1-week intervals). DMH administered rats developed gross tumours in the colon. Enhanced lipid peroxidation in the liver of colon tumour bearing rats was accompanied by a significant decrease in the activities of glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione S-transferase (GST), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT). Intragastric administration of curcumin (80mg/kg body weight) and curcumin analog (80mg/kg body weight) to DMH-injected rats significantly reduced the number and size of tumour in the colon, lowered lipid peroxidation and enhanced the activities of GPx, GST, SOD and CAT in the liver. We speculate that the curcumin analog used in the present study exerts chemoprevention against cancer development at extrahepatic sites by modulating hepatic biotransformation enzymes and antioxidant status. The effect is comparable with that of curcumin. This shows that the hydroxyl group in the aromatic ring is responsible for the protective effect rather than the methoxy group.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate the possible protective effects of Quercetin (Qe) against oxidative stress induced by λ cyhalothrin (LTC) in reproductive system. Thirty‐two male rats were divided into four groups. First group was allocated as the control group. Second group was given a Qe alone while the third group received a LTC alone. Animals in the fourth group were given a Qe with LTC. Caudae epididymis was removed for sperm analysis. Lipid peroxidation (LPO), superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione‐S‐transferase (GST), and reduced glutathione (GSH) were determined in the testis. Additionally, the different histopathologic changes were observed in the testis of animals. LTC exposure significantly increased the abnormal morphology and LPO. On the contrary, sperm motility, viability and count, levels of GSH, and activities of SOD, CAT, GPx, and GST were significantly decreased compared to controls. Qe with LTC offset the decrease in functional sperm parameters, antioxidants enzymatic activities, and nonenzymatic antioxidant levels when compared with LTC‐treated rats. Furthermore, LTC showed irregular seminiferous tubules containing only Sertoli cells and Qe with LTC caused regular seminiferous tubules showing spermatogenesis at level of spermatocytes. We conclude that LTC‐induced oxidative stress and functional sperm parameters in male rats, and dietary of Qe attenuates the reproductive toxicity of LTC to restore the antioxidant system and sperm parameters in male rats. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Oxidative stress due to abnormal production of reactive oxygen species has been implicated in the nephrotoxicity induced by a commonly used anticancer antibiotic doxorubicin (DXN). The nephroprotective effect of aqueous ethanol extract of Zingiber officinale (200 and 400mg/kg, p.o) was evaluated against doxorubicin-induced (15mg/kg, i.p) acute renal damage in rat. Serum urea and creatinine levels were evaluated as the markers of renal failure. Renal antioxidant status such as activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and level of reduced glutathione (GSH) were determined. Level of lipid peroxidation as equivalents of malondialdehyde (MDA), and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) activity were determined in the kidneys. Serum urea and creatinine levels were reduced in the Z. officinale (200 and 400mg/kg, p.o) plus DXN treated groups. The renal antioxidant enzymes activities such as SOD, CAT GPx, levels of GSH and GST activity were restored and that of MDA declined significantly (p<0.001) in the Z. officinale (400mg/kg) plus DXN treated group. The nephroprotection is mediated by preventing the DXN-induced decline of renal antioxidant status, and also by increasing the activity of GST.  相似文献

Cyanobacterial blooms are a worldwide problem due to the production of cyanotoxins such as microcystins (MCs), causing serious water pollution and public health hazard to humans and livestock. Oxidative stress plays a significant role in MCs toxicity. In the present work the differential oxidative stress responses to pure MCs, and Microcystin-containing and non-containing cyanobacterial crude extracts on the human colon carcinoma cell line Caco-2 has been studied for the first time. After exposure, cells were collected and the antioxidant enzymes activities superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR) and glutathione-S-transferase (GST) were measured. Moreover, lipid peroxidation (LPO) induction, reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reduced glutathione (GSH) content were also analyzed. The oxidative stress biomarkers that experienced higher alterations were ROS, CAT, SOD and GR activities. The MC containing cyanobacterial extract showed the higher toxic effects, followed by pure MC-LR. The non-MC containing cyanobacterial extract showed limited effects mainly in SOD activity, GSH content, and GP and GR activities only at the highest concentration used. These results suggest that MC-LR is the responsible of the oxidative stress responses observed in Caco-2 cells, but other compounds contained in the cyanobacterial extracts can contribute to the toxic effects.  相似文献

The effect of several natural and synthetic compounds on selenite-induced cataract was investigated in rat pups. Simultaneous determination of glutathione S-transferase (GST), selenium dependent glutathione peroxidase (Se-GPx), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD) activities and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were carried out in the lens, erythrocyte and plasma. The results showed that propolis, diclofenac, vitamin C (Vit-C) and quercetin prevented cataract formation to the extent of 70, 60, 58.4, and 40%, respectively. Standardized extract of Ginkgo biloba (Egb 761) did not affect the cataract formation. Selenite treatment caused a significant decrease in the activity of erythrocyte SOD. This was accompanied by a simultaneous increase in the levels of MDA either in lens and in plasma. A significant increase was shown in erythrocyte GST (substrate ethacrynic acid; eaa), and GPx activities and lens GST (substrate chlorodinitro benzene; cdnb) activity. Antioxidant treatment caused significant changes in enzyme activities and MDA levels. There was no effect of selenite and antioxidants on total body weight increase during the course of the study. Blood parameters did not correlate to lens parameters following selenite treatment. Our results suggest that antioxidant supplementation following selenite exposure may prevent the cataract formation and may enhance antioxidant defence of blood and lens.  相似文献

Environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) leads to the death of 600,000 nonsmokers annually and is associated with disturbances in antioxidant enzyme capacity in the adult rodent brain. However, little is known regarding the influence of ETS on brain development. The aim of this study was to determine levels of malonaldehyde (MDA) and 3-nitrotyrosine (3-NT), as well as enzymatic antioxidant activities of glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione reductase (GR), glutathione S-transferase (GST), and superoxide dismutase (SOD), in distinct brain structures. BALB/c mice were exposed to ETS twice daily for 1 h from postnatal day 5 through postnatal day 18. Acute exposure was performed for 1 h on postnatal day 18. Mice were euthanized either immediately (0) or 3 h after the last exposure. Immediately after an acute exposure there were higher GR and GST activities and MDA levels in the hippocampus, higher GPx and SOD activities in the prefrontal cortex, and higher GST activity and MDA levels in the striatum and cerebellum. Three hours later there was an increase in SOD activity and MDA levels in the hippocampus and a decrease in the activity of all enzymes in the prefrontal cortex. Immediately after final repeated exposure there were elevated levels of GST and GR activity and decreased GPx activity in the hippocampus. Moreover, a rise was found in GPx and GST activities in the prefrontal cortex and increased GST and GPx activity in the striatum and cerebellum, respectively. After 3 h the prefrontal cortex showed elevated GR and GST activities, and the striatum displayed enhanced GST activity. Data showed that enzymatic antioxidant system in the central nervous system responds to ETS differently in different regions of the brain and that a form of adaptation occurs after several days of exposure.  相似文献

Age- and gender-related changes in malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) activities in rat livers exposed to different doses of whole-body gamma-ray radiation were determined. In addition, the effects of exogenous glutathione (GSH) against radiation injury in rat livers were investigated. We found that MDA levels have an age-associated increment and an increasing radiation dose-related elevation, although they decrease slightly in the 4 Gy group. The MDA levels in old rats were lower in males than in females, while those of young rats did not change. There were no observed age-related changes in SOD activities, although male rats had higher SOD activity than females. Female rats had the highest CAT activities in the 4 Gy group, while male rats had the highest CAT activities in the 6 Gy group. CAT activities in the 8 Gy group were lower than those of the 2 Gy group for each gender and age. While MDA levels were decreased and CAT activities increased by GSH, SOD activities remained unchanged. The results indicate that gamma-ray radiation affects gender- and age-dependent MDA levels, SOD and CAT activities. Administration of GSH appears to be a useful approach to reduce radiation injury by reducing MDA levels and increasing CAT activities.  相似文献
