卧龙血雉繁殖期行为特征分析   总被引:7,自引:2,他引:5  
1 995年 4~ 6月在四川卧龙自然保护区五一棚地区 ,采用无线电追踪技术结合野外行为观察 ,对血雉繁殖期行为特征进行了研究。结果表明 ,繁殖前期雄鸟在警戒行为的频次及持续时间上均显著地高于雌鸟 (T test,频次 ,t=-4 73 ,P <0 0 1 ;时间 ,t=-2 80 ,P <0 0 5 ) ;孵卵期 ,雄鸟在警戒行为的总持续时间上显著地高于雌鸟 (T test,t=-4 75 ,P <0 0 1 ) ,雌鸟在取食行为的总持续时间上显著地高于雄鸟 (T test,t=3 41 ,P <0 0 5 ) ;对雌雄个体行为同时进行观察的结果表明 ,雌鸟维持行为的时间与雄鸟警戒行为的时间显著正相关 (Y =49 68+0 2 693X ,r=0 71 79,P =0 0 0 2 6)。繁殖前期和孵卵期雄鸟的警戒行为可以提高雌鸟用于取食、理羽、沙浴的时间 ,而减少用于警戒的时间  相似文献

于2009年3~7月、2010年3~6月,采用焦点动物观察法和全事件行为记录法对乌鸫(Turdusmerula)的孵卵及育雏行为进行了研究。结果表明,乌鸫是雌鸟孵卵,在孵卵期出现卵损失现象,具补卵行为;孵卵前期与后期的坐巢行为存在差异,且其坐巢时间、频次和坐巢率有随孵卵数递增的趋势。双亲育雏但以雌鸟为主,喂食模式3种:雌鸟喂食、雄鸟喂食、雄鸟将食物递给雌鸟由雌鸟喂食。随着雏鸟日龄的增长,喂食次数增多,暖雏行为减少,至育雏后期未观察到暖雏行为。为权衡孵卵期和育雏前期的能量分配,乌鸫在孵卵期及育雏前期分别采取时间长而频次少和时间短而频次多的坐巢策略。  相似文献

2016和2017年的5月至8月,在河南省董寨国家级自然保护区利用红外相机监控和野外直接观察赤腹鹰(Accipiter soloensis),对其孵卵节律和巢防卫行为进行了研究。为了更好地获得巢防卫数据,我们以人作为入侵者攀爬巢树,观察人停留在巢树上10 min内不同赤腹鹰个体的巢防卫行为。共发现赤腹鹰繁殖巢52个,累计拍摄红外照片661 306张,将15个繁殖巢内的30只个体的巢防卫行为分成了4个等级。研究表明:1)雄鸟的巢防卫等级与雄鸟的日孵卵次数(r=0.751,n=15,P0.01)、雄鸟日孵卵时间(r=0.803,n=15,P0.01)、每日雌雄孵卵总时间(r=0.527,n=15,P0.05)均呈显著正相关,雌鸟的巢防卫等级与雄鸟的日孵卵次数(r=0.717,n=15,P0.01)、雄鸟的日孵卵时间(r=0.619,n=15,P0.05)呈显著正相关(Sperman rank correlation);2)雌鸟巢防卫强度与雄鸟巢防卫强度呈显著正相关(r=0.743,n=15,P0.01);3)亲鸟的平均离巢时间与雄鸟的日孵卵次数(r=﹣0.680,df=11,P0.05)、雄鸟的日孵卵时间(r=﹣0.640,df=11,P0.05)、雌鸟的孵卵次数(r=﹣0.558,df=11,P0.05)、每日雌雄孵卵总时间(r=﹣0.772,df=11,P0.01)均呈负相关。可见,赤腹鹰的巢防卫强度和孵卵投入密切相关,并且配偶间的巢防卫行为存在相似性,可能与配偶选择和学习行为有关。  相似文献

2007年4月在扎龙国家级自然保护区,采用瞬时扫描取样法对散养和野生丹顶鹤(Grus japonensis)的孵卵期行为进行了观察、比较.结果表明,散养丹顶鹤与野生丹顶鹤的孵卵期行为模式基本相同.在总体行为发生频次上,散养丹顶鹤的繁殖行为明显高于野生丹顶鹤,游走行为则低于野生丹顶鹤.行为日节律的比较表明,一天中散养丹顶鹤的繁殖行为波动小于野生丹顶鹤.由于人为干扰,散养丹顶鹤的繁殖行为显著高于野生丹顶鹤的繁殖行为(P<0.05).在个体间差异比较中,散养丹顶鹤与野生丹顶鹤在觅食表达上均存在显著差异(P<0.05),而散养丹顶鹤的警戒行为表达也存在显著差异(P<0.05).  相似文献

记录了云南思茅太阳河自然保护区2个红头咬鹃巢的繁殖.红头咬鹃的巢位于枯树干侧面的洞中,窝卵数2~3枚.红外相机监测记录显示,雌、雄亲鸟均参与孵卵,雄鸟白天孵卵,时间较短,雌鸟从傍晚至次日上午孵卵,时间较长.雏鸟孵出后,主要由雌鸟在巢中暖雏,雄鸟送回食物.2个巢均未繁殖成功.  相似文献

20 0 3年 4~ 7月 ,在四川省瓦屋山自然保护区对金色林鸲 (Tarsigerchrysaeus)的繁殖生态和孵卵节律进行了较为深入的研究。金色林鸲营巢期从 4月下旬~ 6月中旬 ,孵卵期一般为 1 6~ 1 7d,育雏期为1 6d。窝卵数一般为 3~ 4枚 ,平均为 (3 . 75± 0. 45 )枚 (n =1 2 ) ,孵化率为 60 0 % ,育雏成功率为 85 2 %。仅雌鸟孵卵 ,根据对 3巢的监测 ,发现雌鸟早晨 6:0 0时左右首次离巢 ,晚上 2 0 :0 0时左右回到巢中 ,每天出巢次数 1 8~ 1 9次。孵卵雌鸟每次出巢时间一般少于 2 0min ,异常离巢时最长达到 65 6min。雌鸟出巢时间的长度和环境温度呈明显的正相关 (Spearman,r=0 . 1 1 8,P =0 . 0 0 7,n =5 3 1 )。金色林鸲雄鸟存在羽毛延迟成熟现象 ,亚成体雄鸟可以繁殖。  相似文献

20 0 2年 6~ 7月 ,在甘肃省莲花山自然保护区对云南柳莺的孵卵行为进行了研究。结果表明 ,雌鸟孵卵的日活动期为 (80 0 5± 42 8)min (n =1 5 ) ,每天离巢 (3 2 7± 3 9)次 (n =1 5 ) ,每次离巢时间 (6 6±1 8)min (n =5 99) ,每次坐巢时间 (1 8 4± 9 2 )min (n =5 83 ) ,坐巢率为 (73 1± 1 9) %。雌鸟每次坐巢时间和离巢时间的长度均与气温显著相关。日活动期雌鸟在巢的平均卵温为 3 2 3℃ ,夜晚的平均卵温为3 2 7℃。整个孵卵期卵温在发育临界值 2 8℃以上的时间比例为 92 7%。在孵卵后期卵温有逐渐上升的趋势。  相似文献

鄱阳湖区稻田生境中灰鹤越冬行为的时间分配与觅食行为   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
2013年11月—2014年2月,采用瞬时扫描和焦点动物法研究了鄱阳湖区稻田生境中灰鹤越冬行为的时间分配、活动节律与觅食行为。结果显示,觅食(64.09%)行为所占比例最大,其次为警戒(15.97%)、飞行(8.67%)和修整(7.37%)行为。4种主要行为中,觅食行为时间分配随越冬前期(11月)、中期(12月—翌年1月)、后期(2月)逐渐增加,其余行为时间均逐渐减少。各环境因子对主要行为的影响存在显著交互效应,修整行为随各环境因子变化最为明显,日最低温度升高、日最高温度降低、日照长度增加及湿度降低都会使修整行为增加;日照长度增加和湿度降低时,觅食行为增加;日照长度增加时,警戒行为减少。环境因子对成鹤影响效果与总体相同。环境因子仅对幼鹤的觅食行为影响显著,即日照长度增加和湿度降低,幼鹤觅食行为增加。环境因子对行为的影响为非线性关系,致使其影响趋势在不同范围内有所变化。行为节律上,灰鹤昼间各时段觅食行为保持较高水平,觅食高峰出现在11:00—11:59和17:00—17:30。灰鹤觅食生境与其夜宿地分离,致其上午觅食高峰有所推后。幼鹤昼间各时段行为节律与成鹤有较大差异,且各时段觅食行为比例均高于成鹤。灰鹤越冬期在稻田生境的平均啄食频率为(32.06±0.47)次/min,平均步行频率为(6.55±0.35)步/min。啄食频率与步行频率呈极显著负相关。时段和集群类型对啄食频率的影响存在显著交互效应。稻田中食物资源的可利用性逐渐下降,灰鹤的啄食频率随时间逐渐降低,为保证越冬期间获取足够的能量供应,灰鹤采取逐渐增加步行频率和觅食时间的策略。有觅食间隔的抽样单元中,平均警戒次数为(1.37±0.04)次/单元,平均警戒持续时间为(6.02±0.37)s/单元。成鹤花费在警戒的时间多于幼鹤,家庭群中的个体警戒持续时间多于聚集群中的个体。  相似文献

生活在徂徕山林场的北红尾鸲(Phoenicurus auroreus),筑巢前雄鸟寻选巢址,雄、雌鸟共同筑巢,筑巢材料多种,多是雌鸟衔运。每年筑巢二次,均于墙洞内,并对巢区有依恋性。巢筑完后开始产卵,每窝4—5枚。第一窝产于4—5月上旬、第二窝为6月,1986年6月见一窝产1卵而弃巢。雌鸟孵卵,孵卵期12天。雏鸟由雄、雌亲鸟共同饲育,每雏每次喂一至多种和多只昆虫。每日喂雏有三次高蜂,5—7时是一日中喂雏活动最频时刻。11天163小时喂雏1317次,雄鸟喂雏715次、雌鸟602次。12日龄喂雏192次为最多一天。12、13日龄,雌鸟每日喂雏次数多于雄鸟。  相似文献

1994年11月至1995年9月在四川卧龙自然保护区五一棚地区,采用无线电追踪技术并结合野外观察,对血雉的社群组织进行了研究。血雉冬季集群活动,相邻群体相遇,有驱逐行为发生。分群配对时,雌鸟长距离迁移。血雉为单配偶制,配偶关系联结紧密,可维持整个繁殖季节。孵卵由雌鸟承担,取食时由雄鸟相伴,雌雄鸟共同育雏。繁殖季节不参加繁殖的亚成体雄鸟、参加繁殖的成体雄鸟或配偶对往往也有集群活动的倾向。在繁殖季节,  相似文献

2009年3~7月,在西藏自治区墨竹工卡县日多乡念村(29o46′N,92o19′~92o20′E,海拔4 423~5 015 m),采用目标动物抽样法对高原鼠兔(Ochotona curzoniae)的警戒行为和取食行为进行了观察,利用广义线性模型(GLM)的泊松回归模型分析了不同土地利用、植被覆盖度、植物类别和植被优势种对高原鼠兔行为影响的差异。研究结果表明,雌性高原鼠兔取食行为频率高于雄性(β=﹣0.203,SE=0.096,P0.05),警戒行为频率低于雄性(β=0.199,SE=0.088,P0.05)。高原鼠兔的取食行为(β=﹣0.009,SE=0.004,P0.05)随着栖息地内双子叶植物覆盖比例增高而呈递减趋势,相应地,随着栖息地内单子叶植物覆盖比例的增高呈现递增趋势(β=0.009,SE=0.004,P0.05)。高原鼠兔的警戒行为在放牧地(β=0.273,SE=0.131,P0.05)以及植被覆盖度高的栖息地内(β=0.007,SE=0.003,P0.05)均呈递增趋势。随着薹草属植物覆盖度比例增高,高原鼠兔的取食行为(β=0.023,SE=0.006,P0.001)呈现递增趋势,而警戒行为呈递减趋势(β=﹣0.018,SE=0.007,P0.05)。  相似文献

The investment of time and energy in reproduction by male and female sandgrouse (genus Pterocles ) was studied. Energy expenditure was estimated using time budgets and laboratory measurements of metabolism. Female parental expenditure was greatest during laying and incubation. Females took the larger share of daytime incubation, which reduced their time available for foraging (3.6 h compared with 4.8 h for males). To remain in energy balance, they required a higher food intake rate than males (97 kJ/h compared with 79 kJ/h, respectively) and consequently were likely to lose condition during incubation. Male parental expenditure was greatest during chick-rearing, especially when the young were well grown but still dependent on the male for water. The role of males as water carriers increased their energy expenditure and decreased their time available for foraging. Males also took the greater share of time spent in vigilance on behalf of the young, which further reduced their foraging time (3.2 h compared with 4.9 h for females). To remain in energy balance, males with young required a higher intake rate than females (62 kJ/h compared with 44 kJ/h, respectively).  相似文献

2005年1—3月,在云南丽江拉市海就群体规模对越冬灰鹤(Grusgrus)警戒行为的影响进行了研究。用扫描取样记录群体的规模和警戒个体的数量、用焦点取样记录群体中个体警戒行为的频次和持续时间,结果显示灰鹤群体和个体的警戒力均随群体规模增加而降低,但集群个体数超过30只后,群体警戒力便不会再下降(P>0.05)、成体的警戒持续时间也会增加(P<0.01);当群体规模超过50只后,成体的警戒频次也会上升(P<0.05)。推测亚成体维持低警戒的群体规模上限值要高于成体,单从警戒行为分析,20—30只个体的集群可能代表越冬灰鹤的最适群体大小。  相似文献

In group‐living mammals, the major functions of vigilance are to detect the presence of predators and to monitor the movements of conspecific competitors, i.e. of potential opponents in agonistic encounters. The minimum distance to such a conspecific competitor that an animal considers safe is usually lower than to a predator, whereas the frequency of encounters with conspecifics is higher. Therefore, the acquisition of information about a predator or about a conspecific could lead to the existence of at least two different modes of vigilance behaviour. The aim of the present study was to describe and compare different forms of vigilance behaviour that European rabbits, Oryctolagus cuniculus, display in anti‐predator and social contexts. We conducted an observational study on individually marked animals from a field enclosure population. We recorded social interactions of the animals, the presence of aerial predators (common buzzard Buteo buteo), and the vigilance behaviour of the rabbits. We distinguished between two forms of vigilance of different intensity: subtle and overt. The frequencies of both forms of vigilance displayed by the rabbits differed significantly in occurrence, duration, and distribution over time. Females and males showed higher frequencies of overt but not subtle vigilance when buzzards were present. In contrast, the presence of conspecifics in close proximity affected the display of subtle but not overt vigilance: males increased the frequency of subtle vigilance when other males were close. Females increased subtle vigilance in proximity of males and females; however, this effect was only apparent in females with a more unstable social situation. In conclusion, European rabbits differentially increased two different forms of vigilance behaviour in social and anti‐predator contexts.  相似文献

I examined the vigilance behavior of adult males and females in two groups of ring-tailed lemurs(Lemur catta)during the birth and lactation season at the Beza-Mahafaly Reserve, southwestern Madagascar. I found no sex difference with respect to the rates of overall vigilance, rates of vigilance toward a potential predator or unfamiliar sound, or rates of vigilance toward conspecifics from other social groups, nor were there sex differences in the percentage of time spent vigilant in any of the above categories. Higher-ranking females were vigilant significantly more often toward predators or potential predators than lower-ranking females were. I detected no relationship between vigilance behavior and dominance rank among adult males. The alpha female in each group exhibited significantly more vigilance behavior than all other members of her group. It was predicted that males should exhibit more vigilance behavior than females do, particularly during the birth and lactation season, when predator pressure is high, if they are benefiting females in this respect. I discuss the results in the context of this prediction and in terms of how ring-tailed lemur males benefit females, and why they may be tolerated in social groups.  相似文献

The Pyrenean chamois Rupicapra pyrenaica pyrenaica is a mountain-dwelling ungulate with an extensive presence in open areas. Optimal group size results from the trade off between advantages (a reduction in the risk of predation) and disadvantages (competition between members of the herd) of group living. In addition, advantages and disadvantages of group living may vary depending on the position of each individual within the herd. Our objective was to study the effect of central vs. Peripheral position in the herd on feeding and vigilance behavior in male and female Pyrenean chamois and to ascertain if a group size effect existed. We used focal animal sampling and recorded social interactions when a focal animal was involved. With males, vigilance rate was higher in the central part of the group than at the periphery, probably due to a higher density of animals in the central part of the herd and a higher probability of being disturbed by conspecifics. With females, vigilance rate did not differ according to position in the herd. Females spent more time feeding than males, and males showed a higher frequency of the vigilance behavior than females. We did not observe a clear relationship between group size and vigilance behavior. The differences in vigilance behavior might be due to social interactions.  相似文献

In animal pairs, males are often more vigilant than females.This is generally assumed to result from mate guarding (eitheragainst predators or other males). However, when males haveconspicuous secondary sexual characteristics, they could beconstrained to be more vigilant because of a higher predationrisk than females. We attempted to distinguish between the "maleconstraint hypothesis" and two variations of the mate-guardinghypothesis by studying the vigilance behavior of the sexuallydimorphic wigeon during early winter, when some males are inbreeding plumage and some are not and when not all males arepaired. The proportion of time spent vigilant by paired malesin breeding plumage was five times higher than any other categoryof males or females. We found no significant differences betweenthe vigilance levels of unpaired male wigeon in cryptic andin breeding plumage and therefore rejected the male constrainthypothesis. As vigilance levels of paired and unpaired femalesdid not differ either, we rejected the hypothesis that pairedmales invest in vigilance to reduce their mate's need to bevigilant to predation risks. Paired females interacted lessfrequently with other wigeon than unpaired ones, and it is probablyto protect their female from other males that paired male wigeonincrease their vigilance times.  相似文献

In prey species, vigilance is an important part of the decision making process related to predation risk effects. Therefore, understanding the mechanisms shaping vigilance behavior provides relevant insights on factors influencing individual fitness. We investigated the role of extrinsic and intrinsic factors on vigilance behavior in Mediterranean mouflon (Ovis gmelini musimon×Ovis sp.) in a study site spatially and temporally contrasted in human pressures. Both sexes were less vigilant in the wildlife reserve compared to surrounding unprotected areas, except for males during the hunting period. During this period, males tended to be less strictly restricted to the reserve than females what might lead to a pervasive effect of hunting within the protected area, resulting in an increase in male vigilance. It might also be a rutting effect that did not occur in unprotected areas because males vigilance was already maximal in response to human disturbances. In both sexes, yearlings were less vigilant than adults, probably because they traded off vigilance for learning and energy acquisition and/or because they relied on adult experience present in the group. Similarly, non-reproductive females benefited of the vigilance effort provided by reproductive females when belonging to the same group. However, in the absence of reproductive females, non-reproductive females were as vigilant as reproductive females. Increasing group size was only found to reduce vigilance in females (up to 17.5%), not in males. We also showed sex-specific responses to habitat characteristics. Females increased their vigilance when habitat visibility decreased (up to 13.8%) whereas males increased their vigilance when feeding on low quality sites, i.e., when concomitant increase in chewing time can be devoted to vigilance with limited costs. Our global approach was able to disentangle the sex-specific sources of variation in mouflon vigilance and stressed the importance of reserves in managing and conserving wild sheep populations.  相似文献

Vigilance in social animals is often aimed at detecting predators. Many social and environmental factors influence vigilance, including sex, predation risk and group size. During the summer of 2007, we studied Przewalski's gazelle Procapra przewalskii , an endemic ungulate to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, to test whether and how these three factors affect vigilance. We distinguished groups consisting of males, mothers with lambs and females without lambs making observations on groups in the presence or absence of nearby predators. We assessed the group-size effect on vigilance and how this varied with levels of predation risk and sex. Males and mothers scanned longer and with a higher frequency than females without lambs. Individuals were more vigilant under direct predation threat. Although vigilance generally decreased with group size, the extent of the decrease was independent of predation risk and was not significant in males. The results suggest that mothers are more vigilant suggesting greater vulnerability and that males may have increased their vigilance to compete for higher social ranks. The positive correlation between vigilance and predation risk and the negative correlation between vigilance and group size are consistent with earlier findings, but we failed to find an interaction between group size and predation risk on vigilance perhaps because vigilance levels are low even in small groups, thus making similar vigilant upward adjustments in both small and large groups.  相似文献

Tibetan gazelle Procapra picticaudata is a threatened and endemic species to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. With the method of group scan sampling, we observed the behaviours of males and females of the gazelle in the two summers of 2005 and 2006, in order to test the group size effect on group vigilance. We found that male gazelles were significantly more vigilant than the females at both group scan level (percentage of individuals scanning during a session) and group scan frequency (percentage of intervals with at least one individual scanning). We also found a negative correlation between group scan level and group size and a positive correlation between group scan frequency and group size, showing the group size effect on vigilance was testified in Tibetan gazelle. The predation factor might be the main driving force for the group size effect.  相似文献
