Dear Editor, Phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC; EC 4.1.1.31) islocated at an important branch point in the carbohydratemetabolism of plants. The enzyme is a homotetramer andcatalyzes the addition of bicarbonate to phosphoenolpyru-vate (PEP) to form oxaloacetate and phosphate. PEPC isregulated by metabolites and phosphorylation. AIIostericfeedback inhibition is mainly regulated by L-malate andL-aspartate which bind to a site separated from the activecenter (Kai et al., 1999; Paulus et al., 2013). 通过对我国己经正式发表的Mufushania三叶虫的18个种模式标本的头盖特征进行Q型聚类分析,并结合传统定性分析后,提出其中Mufushania shalangensis Zhang and Zhou inZhang et al.,1980,M.angustilimbata Zhang and Zhou inZhang et al.,1980,和M.kailiensis(Yuan in Yuan et al.,2002)(=Elrathiella kailiensis Zhou in Lu et al.,1974)等3种应从Mufushania属中删除,对余下15个种,通过修订,转移和归并为2个种:M.nankingensis Lin,1965和M.bella(Yuan in Yuan et al.,2002)。本文将对研究我国寒武纪第二世晚期褶颊虫类三叶虫系统演化、生物地理分区以及华北与华南生物地层划分和对比,提供重要依据。  相似文献

Dear Editor, Higher plants have evolved hundreds of genes encodingreceptor-like kinases (RLKs), which function as cell surfacereceptors perceiving developmental and environmental sig-nals (Shiu et al., 2004). Many RLKs have been shown to playspecific roles in hormone responses, developmental regula-tion, defense against pathogen infection, and adaptationto abiotic stresses (Chae et al., 2009; Antolin-Llovera et al.,2012). The mechanisms that ensure specific signal transduc-tion from each RLK to target cellular responses remain poorlyunderstood. Recent studies revealed that many RLKs trans-duce signals by phosphorylating receptor-like cytoplasmickinases (RLCKs), which lack the transmembrane domainsbut are anchored at the plasma membrane through lipidmodification (Tang et al., 2008; Zhang et al., 2010; Shi et al.,2013). There are over 400 RLKs and only about 150 RLCKs inArabidopsis (Shiu et al., 2004). 本文描述了贵州剑河八郎“清虚洞组”产出的碎片玛拉利亚藻Morania fragmenta Walcott, 1919、穗状玛波利亚藻Marpolia spissa Walcott, 1919、线状陡山沱藻Doushantuophyton lineare Steiner, 1994, emend. 哈尔滨郊区人为鼠疫疫源地鼠类种群动态分析   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
根据黑龙江省哈尔滨市郊区人为鼠疫疫源地1952~1996 年达乌尔黄鼠密度监测资料,建立了黄鼠密度的自回归模型Dt=0.1374+1.130 2Dt-1-0.4754Dt-2+0.8033Dt-3-0.4680Dt-4 , 对1997~2000 年的密度进行了预测。1952~1980 年, 人工捕黄鼠率极为显著地影响黄鼠密度(P<0.001)。在该地区, 1982~1996年共捕啮齿动物6种, 其中黄鼠和大仓鼠为野外优势种, 褐家鼠为室内优势种, 其余为常见种。大仓鼠、黑线仓鼠、黑线姬鼠均与夜行鼠总捕获率正相关(P<0.01),逐步回归模型为总捕获率=0.5219+1.1733 大仓鼠+10312 黑线仓鼠+ 1.1273小家鼠+ 0.9242 褐家鼠(P<0.0001)。黄鼠密度与捕获率不相关(P>0.10)。  相似文献

We conducted an interspecific comparison of skulls from two closely related but differently sized mustelid species, Mustela itatsi and M. sibirica (Mammalia, Carnivora, Mustelidae); a sexual comparison within the latter species showed remarkable size dimorphism. We clarified several differences in skull proportion related to size using allometric analyses and qualitative comparisons. Allometric analysis revealed that the skulls of male M. itatsi (the smaller species) have a relatively long palate; a slender viscerocranium and postorbital constriction; a broad, short, and low neurocranium; small carnassials; and a short mandible with a thin body and small ramus compared to the skulls of male M. sibirica (the larger species). Similar results were obtained when male M. itatsi were compared to female M. sibirica, although the male M. itatsi had a broader viscerocranium than female M. sibirica. A sexual comparison in M. sibirica revealed a larger skull size among the males with a relatively wide viscerocranium; wide postorbital constriction; a slender, long, and high neurocranium; short and wide auditory bullae; short carnassials; and a long and high mandible compared to females. Qualitative comparisons revealed changes in a few characters depending on skull size or with respect to some cranial components in each species. The interspecific differences observed were clearly larger than the intraspecific differences for three qualitative characters. The allometric and qualitative differences detected between these species suggest that each species is not simply the dwarf and/or giant morph of the other, and complicated differences were clarified.  相似文献

本文分析了仓鼠属三个种的常规核型及G带核型,即大搬仓鼠(Cricetulus triton)2n=28,长尾仓鼠(C.longicaudatus)2n=24,花背仓鼠(C.barabensis)2n=22。讨论时结合文献报道的短尾仓鼠(C.eversmanni),无斑短尾仓鼠(C.curtatus),灰仓鼠(C.migratorius)的有关核型资料作了比较,结果证明:(1)染色体是鉴别这6个种类的有效方法之一。(2)大搬仓鼠具有较原始的核型,可能是祖先进化中的一个早期分枝。(3)这6个种类的染色体进化机制主要是罗伯逊融合,但也有染色体的断裂、易位和倒转。  相似文献

啮齿动物的水平衡能力对其适应干旱环境至关重要。为理解啮齿动物对水环境的适应性,本研究以分布于内蒙古草原的长爪沙鼠 (Meriones unguiculatus)、布氏田鼠 (Lasiopodomys brandtii)、小毛足鼠 (Phodopus roborovskii)、坎氏毛足鼠 (Phodopus campbelli) 和黑线仓鼠 (Cricetulus barabensis) 为研究对象,测定了肾脏形态学指标、肾单位密度指标和尿液渗透压等,比较分析了肾脏形态结构与栖息地环境之间的关系。结果发现:5种啮齿动物肾脏髓质厚度随动物分布区域的变化,呈现从典型草原地区、半荒漠地区至荒漠和沙漠地区逐渐增加的趋势,干旱地区动物的尿液渗透压较高。5种动物的皮质肾单位密度无显著差异。近髓肾单位密度统计显示,黑线仓鼠大于小毛足鼠与坎氏毛足鼠,布氏田鼠与长爪沙鼠居中。这些结果表明,啮齿动物的肾脏形态指数和组织学指数可以在一定程度上反映哺乳动物肾脏浓缩尿液的能力,肾脏的结构具有可塑性以应对环境的变化。  相似文献

在区域尺度上(25.14°-40.25° N, 99.87°-122.07° E), 采集20个栓皮栎(Quercus variabilis)种群的种子样品, 测定种宽、种长, 并计算宽长比形态指标, 探讨了区域尺度上种子形态变异特点及其与环境因子的关系。结果表明, 栓皮栎种子的宽度和长度变化幅度分别为1.21-2.18 cm和1.20-2.96 cm; 宽长比的变化幅度为0.57-1.10。栓皮栎的种宽与种长呈显著的正相关关系。单因素方差分析表明, 种宽、种长和宽长比在种群间差异显著(p < 0.001)。种长与等效纬度呈负线性(R2 = 0.18; p = 0.05), 与经度呈凸型的变异关系(R2 = 0.43; p = 0.009)。种宽和种长与最热月平均气温呈极显著正相关(R2 = 0.35; p = 0.006; R2 = 0.30; p = 0.012), 而与最湿季降水量呈显著负相关(R2 = 0.28, p = 0.019; R2 = 0.24, p = 0.017)。种子宽长比没有明显的变化趋势, 大致趋于恒定(0.88 ± 0.08)。  相似文献

Sex differences are present in all parts of the body, including the skeletal system. Several methods are used to analyze the sex differences of skeleton, while more recently, a new method called geometric morphometry has been used. The aim of this study was to examine the sexual dimorphism of occipital condyles on human skulls originating from the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina using the geometric morphometric method.Material and methodsThe study was conducted on 214 human skulls of known gender from Bosnian population. For analysis of sexual dimorphism of occipital condyles, we used geometric morphometry, where all the skulls were scanned to obtain three-dimensional skull models. On the obtained models, we marked anthropometric points on occipital condyles in a Landmark Editor program from which we exported data in the form NTSYS file and analyzed it in MorphoJ program.ResultsFirst principal component PC1 describes 26.917% of total variability, the second principal component PC2 describes 20.992% of total variability, while the first eight principal components together describe 100% of total variability. The greatest variability between the male skulls and female skulls was present in the anterior-posterior diameter (length of occipital condyles). Discriminant functional analysis of the shape and size of the occipital condyles was possible with 69.50% accuracy for male skulls and with 60.27% accuracy for female skulls. The size of the occipital condyles showed a statistically significant effect on sexual determination. Discriminant functional analysis of the shape of the occipital condyles without affecting size enabled the determination of gender with with 65.96% accuracy for male skulls and with 63.01% accuracy for female skulls.ConclusionAnalysis of sexual dimorphism of occipital condyles using geometric morphometry showed statistically significant differences in the shape and size of occipital condyles between the sexes. The accuracy of sex determination based on occipital condyles was higher for male gender.  相似文献

Aim To examine and visualize clines in size and shape of Cercopithecus aethiops Linneus, 1758 (Primate, Cercopithecidae) skulls, and to investigate environmental factors which might best explain the observed variation. Location Sub‐Saharan Africa. Methods Eighty‐six three‐dimensional anatomical landmarks were used to describe 306 skulls of adult C. aethiops sampled over its entire distribution. Geometric morphometric methods for the quantitative analysis of form variation were applied. Size and shape variables were computed and regressed onto geographical coordinates and environmental variables (elevation, temperature, rainfall, moisture and Shannon rainfall diversity index) using both linear and curvilinear models. Components (geographical, environmental, spatially structured environmental and residual) of ecogeographical variation in skull form were partitioned using partial regression. A novel approach for summarizing and visualizing nonlinear patterns of clinal variation using surface rendering of three‐dimensional shapes is presented. Results Clinal variation in size and shape was highly significant, and was best described by curvilinear models. There were strong similarities between females and males. The cline in size was especially pronounced, explaining up to about 40% of observed variation, and was mainly longitudinal rather than latitudinal. A major trend of clinal shape variation also occurred from west to east, and corresponded to an expansion of the face relative to the neurocranium in the west. In the east, skulls also tended to be deeper and with narrower zygomatic arches. Geography and the spatially structured environmental component were the major contributors to the explained variance in size in both sexes, but the proportion of variance explained by the latter was smaller in females. In contrast, geography and environment explained similar amounts of variation in shape and their contribution was about twice that of the spatially structured environmental component. About 60–80% of variation in skull form was not explained by any variable in the analysis. The main factors influencing skull size differed in females and males, with rainfall being very influential in males. Both female and male skull shapes were strongly affected by average annual rainfall. Main conclusions A strong spatial and environmental basis to variations in African vervet monkey skull form was evident. However, the observed pattern did not conform to predictions based on Bergmann's rule. Rainfall consistently emerged as an important predictor, which may contribute to intraspecific variation in the size and shape of vervet monkey skulls through its effect on habitat productivity.  相似文献

Most studies of morphological variability in or among species are performed on adult specimens. However, it has been proven that knowledge of the patterns of size and shape changes and their covariation during ontogeny is of great value for the understanding of the processes that produce morphological variation. In this study, we investigated the patterns of sexual dimorphism, phylogenetic variability, and ontogenetic allometry in the Spermophilus citellus with geometric morphometrics applied to cross-sectional ontogenetic data of 189 skulls from three populations (originating from Burgenland, Banat, and Dojran) belonging to two phylogenetic lineages (the Northern and Southern). Our results indicate that sexual dimorphism in the ventral cranium of S. citellus is expressed only in skull size and becomes apparent just before or after the first hibernation because of accelerated growth in juvenile males. Sexes had the same pattern of ontogenetic allometry. Populations from Banat and Dojran, belonging to different phylogroups, were the most different in size but had the most similar adult skull shape. Phylogenetic relations among populations, therefore, did not reflect skull morphology, which is probably under a significant influence of ecological factors. Populations had parallel allometric trajectories, indicating that alterations in development probably occur prenatally. The species’ allometric relations during cranial growth showed characteristic nonlinear trajectories in the two northern populations, with accelerated shape changes in juveniles and continued but almost isometric growth in adults. The adult cranial shape was reached before sexual maturity of both sexes and adult size after sexual maturity. The majority of shape changes during growth are probably correlated with the shift from a liquid to a solid diet and to a lesser degree due to allometric scaling, which explained only 20 % of total shape variation. As expected, viscerocranial components grew with positive and neurocranial with negative allometry.  相似文献

This study reports on the molecular phylogenetics of ground squirrels, genus Spermophilus, in Turkey using cytochrome b (1140bp), part of the D-loop and flanking tRNAs (572bp), X chromosome (867-1051bp) and Y chromosome (983-989bp) DNA sequences. Individuals also were characterized by karyotype and with geometric morphometric analyses of mandibles and skulls. Two hundred fourteen individuals from 91 localities were studied. All the data support the recognition of a new species in SW Anatolia: the Taurus ground squirrel Spermophilus taurensis sp. nov. The new species has a small distribution in the Taurus Mountains in an area that is a hotspot for biodiversity. Molecular clock analysis suggests that the new species diverged from the European ground squirrel, Spermophilus citellus, about 2.5 million years ago and that the ancestor of these two species diverged from the widespread Anatolian ground squirrel, Spermophilus xanthoprymnus, about 5 million years ago. Morphometric differentiation in skull and mandible shape among the three species is incomplete, but statistically significant. S. xanthoprymnus is subdivided into five cytochrome b phylogroups and we use these data to infer the location of glacial refugia where the species lived during the last glacial maximum. This study illustrates the potential of combined molecular and morphometric studies to uncover new Anatolian species and to reconstruct their phylogeographic history. The new species is important for squirrel taxonomy and for understanding Eurasian mammal evolution.  相似文献
