如何实现具有人性化设计、能满足多约束条件的高效排课系统是高校教务工作的难点问题. 针对某高校排课问题, 提出基于空间模型的高校排课算法. 首先对比分析现行各排课算法的优劣性, 然后结合该校实际排课需要, 构建排课问题空间模型和约束模型以降低排课问题复杂度, 并在此基础上, 对遗传算法进行优化, 设计了基于遗传算法的排课算法, 提出了排课问题的解决方案. 实验结果表明, 该排课系统较好的解决了该校的排课问题, 为其他类似问题的解决提供了可借鉴经验.  相似文献

This paper summarizes the work done to solve a complex course timetabling problem at a large university and provides new insights into the overall timetabling process. The first step in the successful solution of this problem was to define a course structure model that allowed application of classical course timetabling methods. Several methods were necessary to solve the complete problem. First, support procedures were needed to detect and correct an infeasible problem where hard constraints were being violated. The resulting timetabling problem was then solved via a search for a complete assignment of times and rooms to classes, taking all hard and soft constraints into account. Methods were also developed for modifying a computed solution in response to changes introduced at a later time while having a minimal impact on existing assignments.  相似文献

Thinking and problem solving skills are considered to be of significant importance in many professions. Surveys indicate that university education fails in appropriately enhancing these skills. This paper presents a concept of teaching thinking and problem solving as a separate course, based on the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ). Student surveys showed that students' perception of their abilities in problem solving changed vastly as a consequence of the course. Students reflected that they would never have expected themselves to come up with the ideas they eventually thought of and suggested while conducting their final project, had they not been formally taught about the tools of problem solving. It was also found that this course on TRIZ thinking tools impacted students' problem solving abilities much more than discipline‐based courses, supporting the superiority of the ‘enrichment’ over the ‘infusion’ approach.  相似文献

The course timetabling problem must be solved by the departments of Universities at the beginning of every semester. It is a though problem which requires department to use humans and computers in order to find a proper course timetable. One of the most mentioned difficult nature of the problem is context dependent which changes even from departments to departments. Different heuristic approaches have been proposed in order to solve this kind of problem in the literature. One of the efficient solution methods for this problem is tabu search. Different neighborhood structures based on different types of move have been defined in studies using tabu search. In this paper, the effects of moves called simple and swap on the operation of tabu search are examined based on defined neighborhood structures. Also, two new neighborhood structures are proposed by using the moves called simple and swap. The fall semester of course timetabling problem of the Department of Statistics at Hacettepe University is solved utilizing four neighborhood structures and the comparison of the results obtained from these structures is given.  相似文献

Abstract   To become proficient problem-solvers, physics students need to form a coherent and flexible understanding of problem situations with which they are confronted. Still, many students have only a limited representation of the problems on which they are working. Therefore, an instructional approach was devised to promote students' understanding of these problems and to support them in forming associations between problem features and solution methods. The approach was based on using the computer algebra software Mathematica as a tool for problem solving and visualisation. An electrostatics course module was implemented based on this instructional approach, and this module was compared with a usual paper-and-pencil based one. Learning outcomes for both courses were not significantly different. The experimental course was found to impose a high cognitive load on the students. Based on the outcomes, proposals are made for ways in which the course could be improved.  相似文献

This paper describes a timetabling problem at universities, where a master course timetable is given extrinsically and conflicts due to students' course enrollment do not need to be considered. A solver for the problem, which integrates both teacher assignment and course scheduling, is described. An initial solution is obtained by a mathematical programming approach based on Lagrangian relaxation. This solution is further improved by a simulated annealing algorithm. The proposed method has been tested on instances from a university in Indonesia, as well as on several randomly generated datasets, and the corresponding computational results are reported.  相似文献
