In this paper we consider the general, no-wait and no-idle permutation flowshop scheduling problem with deteriorating jobs, i.e., jobs whose processing times are increasing functions of their starting times. We assume a linear deterioration function with identical increasing rates for all the jobs and there are some dominating relationships between the machines. We show that the problems to minimize the makespan and the total completion time remain polynomially solvable when deterioration is considered, although these problems are more complicated than their classical counterparts without deterioration.  相似文献

This paper presents a hybrid discrete differential evolution (HDDE) algorithm for the no-idle permutation flow shop scheduling problem with makespan criterion, which is not so well studied. The no-idle condition requires that each machine must process jobs without any interruption from the start of processing the first job to the completion of processing the last job. A novel speed-up method based on network representation is proposed to evaluate the whole insert neighborhood of a job permutation and employed in HDDE, and moreover, an insert neighborhood local search is modified effectively in HDDE to balance global exploration and local exploitation. Experimental results and a thorough statistical analysis show that HDDE is superior to the existing state-of-the-art algorithms by a significant margin.  相似文献

Production scheduling plays an important role in the intelligent decision support system and intelligent optimization decision technology. In the context of the globalization trend, the current production and management may extend from a single factory to a distributed production network. In this paper, we study the distributed blocking flowshop scheduling problem (DBFSP) that is an important generalization of the traditional blocking flowshop scheduling problem in the distributed environment. Six constructive heuristics and an iterated greedy (IG) algorithm are proposed to minimize the makespan, which provides procedures for obtaining efficient and effective solutions to make decision-making sounder. The first five heuristics are developed based on the well-known NEH2 heuristic [B. Naderi, R. Ruiz, The distributed permutation flowshop scheduling problem, Computers & Operations Research, 37 (4) (2010) 754–768.] and the last heuristic is presented by extending the PW heuristic [Q.K. Pan, L. Wang, Effective heuristics for the blocking flowshop scheduling problem with makespan minimization, Omega, 40 (2) (2012) 218–229.] to DBFSP in an effective way. The composite heuristics that combining constructive heuristics and local searches are also studied. The proposed composite heuristics are chosen to generate an initial solution with a high level of quality. Keeping the simplicity of the IG algorithm, three local search procedures, two destruction procedures, an improved reconstruction procedure, and a simulated annealing-like acceptance criterion are well designed based on the problem-specific knowledge to enhance the IG algorithm. The computational experiments are carried out based on the 720 benchmark instances from the literature. The results show that the proposed heuristics are very effective for solving the problem under consideration and the presented IG algorithm performs significantly better than the other state-of-the-art metaheuristics from the literature.  相似文献

针对两机无等待流水车间调度问题,提出目标函数最大完工时间最小化的快速算法,并给出算法的复杂度。分析两机无等待流水车间调度问题的排列排序性质,证明了两机无等待流水车间调度问题的可行解只存在于排列排序中,排列排序的最优解一定是两机无等待流水车间调度问题的最优解。最后研究了同时包含普通工件和无等待工件的两机流水车间调度问题的复杂性,为进一步研究两机无等待流水车间调度问题提供了理论依据。  相似文献

Typically, in order to process jobs in a flowshop both machines and labor are required. However, in traditional scheduling problems, labor is assumed to be plentiful and only machine is considered to be a constraint. This assumption could be due to the lower cost of labor compared to machines or the complexity of dual-resource constrained problems. In this paper a mathematical model is developed to minimize the work-in-process inventory while maximizing the service level in a flowshop with dual resources. The model focuses on optimizing a non-permutation flowshop. There are different skill levels considered for labor and the setup times on machines are sequence-dependent. Jobs are allowed to skip one or more stages in the flowshop. Job release and machine availability times are considered to be dynamic. The problem is solved in two layers. The outer layer is a search algorithm to find the schedule of jobs on the machine (traditional flowshop scheduling problem) and the inner layer is a three-step heuristic to find a schedule of jobs on labor in accordance to the machine schedule. Three different search algorithms are developed to solve the proposed NP-hard problem. First algorithm can solve a permutation flowshop while the other two are developed to solve a non-permutation flowshop. The comparison between the optimal solution and the search algorithms in small examples shows a good performance of the algorithms with an average deviation of only 2.00%. An experimental design analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of the algorithms statistically. The results show that non-permutation algorithms perform better than the permutation algorithm, although the former are less efficient. The effectiveness and efficiency in all three algorithms have an inverse relation. To the best of our knowledge, this research is the first of its kind to provide a comprehensive mathematical model for dual resource flowshop scheduling problem.  相似文献

零空闲流水车间问题(NIFSP)是流水车间问题中带有约束条件的典型NP-hard问题,在大多数现实场景下,零空闲约束是对机器的基本要求。而目前关于NIFSP问题提出的算法对于较大规模算例、综合性能及参数调整的灵活性较差。为此,以最小化最大完工时间为目标,提出了一种可变内部迭代算法VIIA。在VIIA的初始化阶段,使用改进的FRB5产生初始解,提高了FRB5的效率,在保证算法性能的同时极大地缩短了CPU消耗时间。在破坏重建阶段,通过增加对移除工件块数量的内部迭代,从而灵活调整参数值。VIIA增大了邻域搜索,以适应不同规模的算例。为了验证VIIA算法的性能,将该算法与在流水车间调度问题中表现优秀的几种算法进行了比较。实验结果证明了VIIA在NIFSP问题求解上性能的优越性,并且在最优解的搜索上,性能明显优于对比算法。  相似文献

The makespan distribution of permutation flowshop schedules has been a topic of debate for almost fifty years. Many researchers have confirmed or doubted the famous claim that the makespan distribution of permutation flowshop schedules is asymptotically normal if the number of jobs is sufficiently large. This paper theoretically and empirically investigates the makespan distribution of permutation flowshop schedules and shows that the normality claim is not valid for the job-dominated and machine-dominated flowshops. Errors in the proof of normality of the makespan distribution of permutation flowshop schedules are pointed out. It is shown that the makespan distribution of a permutation flowshop scheduling problem depends on the number of jobs as well as the number of machines.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the problem of minimizing the weighted sum of makespan and total completion time in a permutation flowshop where the processing times are supposed to vary according to learning effects. The processing time of a job is a function of the sum of the logarithms of the processing times of the jobs already processed and its position in the sequence. We present heuristic algorithms, which are modified from the optimal schedules for the corresponding single machine scheduling problem and analyze their worst-case error bound. We also adopt an existing algorithm as well as a branch-and-bound algorithm for the general m-machine permutation flowshop problem. For evaluation of the performance of the algorithms, computational experiments are performed on randomly generated test problems.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel discrete differential evolution (DDE) algorithm for solving the no-wait flow shop scheduling problems with makespan and maximum tardiness criteria. First, the individuals in the DDE algorithm are represented as discrete job permutations, and new mutation and crossover operators are developed based on this representation. Second, an elaborate one-to-one selection operator is designed by taking into account the domination status of a trial individual with its counterpart target individual as well as an archive set of the non-dominated solutions found so far. Third, a simple but effective local search algorithm is developed to incorporate into the DDE algorithm to stress the balance between global exploration and local exploitation. In addition, to improve the efficiency of the scheduling algorithm, several speed-up methods are devised to evaluate a job permutation and its whole insert neighborhood as well as to decide the domination status of a solution with the archive set. Computational simulation results based on the well-known benchmarks and statistical performance comparisons are provided. It is shown that the proposed DDE algorithm is superior to a recently published hybrid differential evolution (HDE) algorithm [Qian B, Wang L, Huang DX, Wang WL, Wang X. An effective hybrid DE-based algorithm for multi-objective flow shop scheduling with limited buffers. Computers & Operations Research 2009;36(1):209–33] and the well-known multi-objective genetic local search algorithm (IMMOGLS2) [Ishibuchi H, Yoshida I, Murata T. Balance between genetic search and local search in memetic algorithms for multiobjective permutation flowshop scheduling. IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation 2003;7(2):204–23] in terms of searching quality, diversity level, robustness and efficiency. A common assumption in the classical permutation flowshop scheduling model is that each job is processed on each machine at most once. However, this assumption does not hold for a re-entrant flowshop in which a job may be operated by one or more machines many times. Given that the re-entrant permutation flowshop scheduling problem to minimize the makespan is very complex, we adopt the CPLEX solver and develop a memetic algorithm (MA) to tackle the problem. We conduct computational experiments to test the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and compare it with two existing heuristics. The results show that CPLEX can solve mid-size problem instances in a reasonable computing time, and the proposed MA is effective in treating the problem and outperforms the two existing heuristics.  相似文献
