Quantum correlations, including entanglement and discord with its geometric measure in a three-qubit Heisenberg XY chain, with phase decoherence, are investigated when a nonuniform magnetic field is applied. When the qubits are initially in an unentangled state, the nearest neighbor pairwise correlations are destroyed by phase decoherence, but stationary correlations appear for next-to-neighbor qubits. With an inhomogeneous magnetic field, the stationary correlations appear for nearest neighbor qubits and they disappear for next-to-nearest neighbor qubits. But when the qubits are initially in an entangled state, an inhomogeneous magnetic field can enhance the stationary correlations of next-to-neighbor qubits, but it cannot do so for nearest neighbor qubits. The decoherence effect on stationary correlations is much stronger for next-to-nearest neighbor qubits than it is for nearest neighbor qubits. Finally, a uniform magnetic field can affect the correlations when the qubits are initially in an entangled state, but it cannot affect them when the qubits are initially in an unentangled state.  相似文献

Asymptotic approximations describing the behaviour of linear systems of diffusion type (convective or non-convective) with a small diffusivity, to which a feedback control of distributed or boundary type based on point sensors is applied, are constructed and proven to be correct. As a consequence one can find a near-optimal feedback control for a cost minimization problem with a quadratic performance index measuring the deviation of the stationary state from an ideal state, under the restriction of a prescribed exponential degree of stability of the stationary state.  相似文献

We investigate effects of disorder and thermal fluctuations on the Abrikosov state of type II superconductors applying the Monte Carlo method to Ginzburg–Landau theory to confirm earlier replica calculation. The vortex phase diagram has two transition lines, the melting line and the vortex glass transition lines in both crystalline and homogeneous states. Consider a flexible manufacturing system (FMS), with several parallel production lines. Each line is statistically balanced. Due to process time and yield variations, some workstations may be temporarily starved of parts during the FMS operation, while others may have too many. The purpose of the dynamic routing algorithm described here is to achieve real-time load balancing in a stochastic processing environment and thus to increase the performance of the system in throughput, workload balance and reduced work-in-process queues. We formulate the problem and develop an optimal stationary policy (for two lines that have a material handling transport between them) based on the input buffer state of each station.  相似文献

We consider the propagation of a shock wave in a mixture of a gas and fine solid particles with allowance for the difference in their velocities and the availability of the proper pressure of the phase of particles; here, equations of the Anderson type and others are used. We propose an approximate mathematical model of the flow; in this model, the dependence of the pressure of the first (gaseous) phase from the particles’ volume-concentration can be ignored, but the terms that present the phase volume-concentration multiplied by the pressure gradient of the gas are taken into account. It turns out that with this representation of the equation of state, the mathematical model has the hyperbolic type. For this system of equations of mechanics of heterogeneous media, we carry out the classification of the types of shock waves implemented in the considered mixture. The presented statements about the types are illustrated by numerical computations in stationary and nonstationary formulations; for this purpose, the numerical method of the TVD type is developed.  相似文献
