电脑从来就毫无隐私可言。 记得在学校的日子，电脑完全是公用设备，同寝室的、隔壁寝室的、楼上楼下的，都在自己的电脑上恣意驰骋，完全不把自己当外人。从Windows XP时代开始，系统的多账户以及来宾账户系统就非常完善了，不过这么多年过去了，身边用到多账户管理的人仍然屈指可数。

Hypermedia-based support for cooperative learning of process knowledge

The WWW makes learning materials widely accessible and provides an environment where people can learn across time and space. However, the simple read-only information structure on the Web provides little or very limited guidance to learners, especially when they want to learn how to do something through interaction with computers and other people. We suggest overcoming the problem by introducing a graphical hypermedia-based process representation and a cooperative process enactment support. The hypermedia-based process structure is accessible on the WWW. It contains a rich set of associated materials with which people can seamlessly interact while they are systematically carrying out the process they are learning under the guidance of computers or tutors. A hypermedia-based process support system and two use cases are presented. The use cases show that such a system can not only provide traditional learning support, but also offers novel cooperative hypermedia based support for the learning of process knowledge.     

Development of a sensory gate–ball game system for the aged people

Recently, medical advances have been increasing the size of the aged population. With rapidly developing technology, computers are now essential parts in our daily life, and the number of the aged people using computers is also increasing continuously. But user interfaces and contents for the aged people have not been developed actively yet. In this paper, we present a 3D sensory gate–ball game system which can be played by the aged people easily. This game system is based on 3D graphics and uses a realistic gate–ball stick and balls as interfaces, so it can improve both physical and mental health of the aged people. Because our game is a sensory game, it is easy to play at home without an outdoor playground. Finally, we made a survey about an experiment after users played the game and show results of the survey.

X window based group collaborative editing system

Group collaborative editing is an activity by which people geographically dispersed can edit the same document simultaneously. It makes use of computers and network communication to provide an interactive and convenient environment, so people can save much of their time and cost. We have developed a group collaborative editing system which not only allows participants to jointly view and process multimedia documents but also provides real-time interactive conversation facilities to let users feel realistic and friendly. This paper describes the concepts of group collaboration and the mechanisms of our system. It also presents the interface design strategy and the synchronization control method.

Functional Diagnosis of Information Transmission in Computer Systems with Unknown Initial Information

Consideration was given to the multipath information transmission in the multi-level computer systems from one or more first-level computers to several last-level computers with the aim of improving reliability of information transmission. It was assumed that (i) at each system level known are system structure, information paths, and permissible number of faulty computers and (ii) there exists at least one path through-passing good computers. It was assumed in Part I that the valid values of the information received by all last-level computers are traceable. For these conditions, proposed was a method of determining each feasible variant of the valid value of the source information sent from the first-level computers with indication of each possible combination of admissible byzantine system faults under which this variant may occur. Conditions for which a subsystem consisting of the last-level computers can independently perform the functional self-diagnosis of information transmission in the system were established in Part II, and a method of self-diagnosis was proposed which determines each feasible variant of the initial information sent from different first-level computers with indication of each possible combination of the admissible byzantine system faults for which in the good last-level computers the true results of transmission under this variant of values may be generated.
