THE BIGGEST 'good news' story of the London 2012 Olympic Games so far is that the venue for the Olympic sailing events is the first to be completed on time, to budget and is fully operational. Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay are the venues, their waters having been rated by the Royal Yachting Association as the finest in Northern Europe. More than 400 sailors from 61 countries will compete for medals between 28 July and 11 August 2012, and an as yet unknown number of competitors will take part in the Paralympics from 31 August to 5 September.

Bright city lights [urban power systems]

The global trend towards city living among the growing middle classes in developing countries such China and India, coupled with the need to radically rethink how energy is sourced and distributed, has prompted a study into urban energy system. Undertaken by researchers at Imperial College in London, the study aims to explore how energy and money could be saved if cities integrate heating, lighting, transport and electricity systems. The study hopes to determine exactly how people and businesses use energy in cities by reviewing past academic work, gathering existing datasets and conducting original surveys. Researchers hope to take advantage of the improved processing power of the latest supercomputer to analyse the mountains of data, and ultimately wish to work out exactly how many people live in different types of accommodation and how much energy they consume.     

北京地区奥运期间供电风险评估

2008年举世瞩目的第29届奥运会将在北京开幕,华北电网公司为确保奥运供电"万无一失",成立了奥运电力保障领导小组,编制了华北电网2008年北京奥运会保电框架方案,同时认真对北京地区奥运期间供电风险作了严格的评估。现对此次评估情况做一简单总结。

奥运场馆及配套服务设施的用电要求有高安全可靠性的供电来保障。介绍了奥运场馆的负荷分类及供电可靠性要求,安全性评价分析原则,以及采用主、配网一体化研究方法将奥运场馆供电与输电网、高压配电网、中压配电网组织到一起进行的整体可靠性分析,并依据“1 N”的安全供电理念,对奥运场馆供电电源路径进行了分析。研究结果是成功的,有参考和借鉴意义。     

Computer assisted learning in power system relaying

A computer package developed for power system protection design is used to teach protection coordination at City University, London. Examples of package use and experience gained from computer assisted learning in this subject are described. The simulation of protection systems gives students an opportunity to observe the actions of each device after they complete their protection schemes. In order to preserve flexibility within this self-learning environment, an expert system is included in the package. The use of an expert system is to make learning as effective as possible by providing guidance on the teaching material. It plays its role only if it is invoked. In other words, the expert system does not supervise learning, but can provide the necessary guidance if a request is made. If there is any error, the result of the simulation will also show the nature of the problem. The debugging function can help the students to detect the errors they have made and know how the devices work in the power system. The potential of a well-designed computer package is not only to strengthen teaching and learning, but also lead to creative contributions to the educational process. This benefit is not available through traditional lectures and textbooks

提出了一种基于遗传算法的电力市场下的有功安全校正方法。在电力市场下进行有功安全校正就是适当调整发电机的有功出力,以最小的市场购电费用增量来消除支路有功过载。给出了在电力市场下进行有功安全校正的数学模型,介绍了遗传算法的基本原理和应用步骤,并对基本遗传算法的交叉算子及交叉和变异概率进行了适当改进,形成改进遗传算法,并且叙述了其在电力市场下的有功安全校正中的应用。通过对一22节点网络算例进行有功安全校正计算,结果表明改进遗传算法是正确可行的,并具有一定的工程实用价值。

崇礼新一代电力系统的发展路径设计及实践
