交联聚乙烯(XLPE)电缆以其优良的机械和电气性能广泛应用于现代电力系统。研究表明,在直流电压作用下绝缘中容易形成空间电荷,导致电场畸变,加速绝缘老化。国内外很少关于交流电压下空间电荷对XLPE电缆绝缘影响的研究。本文综述了交流电压下空间电荷对XLPE电缆绝缘老化的影响及其作用机理,并介绍了交流电压下测量空间电荷分布的改进的电声脉冲法。结果表明,交流电压下,空间电荷分布特性影响XLPE电缆绝缘老化。  相似文献

Information on space-charge behavior in thick insulated samples aids in understanding the dc characteristics of polymer-insulated dc cables. The pulsed electroacoustic method is used to investigate several space charge formation factors in 2 mm-thick polyethylene (PE). The following results were obtained. For measurement factors: (1) A polymeric semiconducting electrode provides a more accurate measurement than does a metal electrode as a result of better matching of acoustic impedance with PE. (2) Within a dc electrical stress range of several tens kV/mm, the space charge distributions under and after dc voltage application are almost the same; this is due to a comparatively long time of space-charge decay. (3) The space-charge distribution of a plate sample agrees with that of a cable sample having the same insulation thickness. For insulating material factors: (1) The amount of space charge in crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) is much larger than that in low-density PE (base of XLPE). The space charge of XLPE continues to increase even after dc voltage application (24 h); that of LDPE reaches equilibrium with a few hours. (2) The aforementioned space charge difference between XLPE and LDPE is assumed to be caused by ionic impurities in XLPE, not by the additives themselves (acetophenon and cumylalcohol as byproducts of cross linking and antioxidant).  相似文献

In electrical insulation in high voltage equipment being serviced under dc stress, space charge is often present. This change greatly influences the electrical field. Quantitative knowledge about the presence of space charge is therefore needed. This paper describes the quest for useful measurement principles. One measurement principle, the Pulsed Electroacoustic method, will be described extensively. The method of calibration and the importance of knowledge about the frequency response of the system are described. The results of space charge measurements on impregnated paper samples are presented and discussed, along with a model that predicts the observations fairly well  相似文献

空间电荷现象严重制约着高压直流塑料电缆的发展。目前,脉冲电声法(pulse electric acoustic,PEA)是国际上常用的测量固体电介质中空间电荷分布的非破坏性的方法之一。首先从高压脉冲的注入方式出发,简述了几种基于PEA法的同轴塑料电缆空间电荷测量技术;同时,提出了一种基于高压脉冲从测量电极注入电缆试样的改进测量装置,在该装置中通过蓄电池、环氧底座以及光电转换器等将采集数据的示波器进行对地隔离,从而提高了测量系统测量信号的频带宽度;然后,介绍了同轴塑料电缆空间电荷波形的恢复方法;最后,概述了空间电荷测量技术在评估电力电缆老化程度中的应用和未来在线测量空间电荷的可行性及发展方向。  相似文献

Space charge is believed to play an important role in ac electrical ageing of polymeric insulation, particularly where electrical treeing is the dominant cause of premature failure. The majority of work to date has been on the space charge characteristics under dc electric stresses, whereas work on the dynamics and the role of space charge on electrical breakdown under 50 Hz ac conditions have only received limited attention. Consequently, a full understanding of space charge trapping and dynamics under ac operating conditions is required if ever more reliable polymer insulated cable systems are to be developed. The present paper reports on aspects of an on-going investigation into the measurement of space charge in XLPE insulation under 50 Hz ac stress using the laser induced pressure propagation (LIPP) technique. Some important features of the method are described such as, point on wave control of the laser and use of correction factors to offset variations in the laser power and ablation of the target material. Emphasis has also been placed on establishing a simple method for analysing data, termed "X-plots". Some preliminary results of the space charge and electric stress distribution of un-degassed and degassed crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) plaques aged electrically under ac stress (30 kVpeak/mm) for 24 h are also presented  相似文献

The behavior of crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE) for HV cable insulation under electrical stress is discussed in the paper, referring to specimens unaged and electrically aged. Polarization and space charge features are considered. The behavior of the examined insulation is evaluated through the `universal' model for polarization and space-charge associated quantities, such as the dc threshold for space charge build up and the total charge accumulated into insulation. It is shown that aging affects the magnitude and the frequency of low and intermediate frequency polarization peaks, as well as the magnitude of accumulated space charge and threshold. Charge injected or formed in the bulk, as well as microstructural modifications, could explain changes of polarization and space charge magnitude with aging  相似文献

In the present work, electrical trees were experimentally generated in virgin and gamma-irradiated XLPE cable insulation, under AC voltages. Fibrillar type of electrical tree structure forms from the defect site in gamma-irradiated specimens. Failure times due to electrical trees were analysed by adopting Weibull distribution studies. The results of the study indicate that gamma-irradiated specimens, where the rate of tree propagation is high, causing early failure of insulation. Pulsed electro acoustic emission (PEAE) technique was adopted to understand the space charge formation in XLPE cable insulation. The results of the study indicate that homo and hetero charges form near to the electrodes especially in gamma-irradiated XLPE cable insulation. Variations in space charge density at different voltage magnitudes with time were analysed. It is observed that the electric field in the insulating material becomes highly non-uniform on occurrence of hetero charges. It is also realized that on removal of applied voltage, the charge decay is less with gamma-irradiated specimens. Based on the present study, it could be concluded that Space charge density in insulating material and life of insulating material due to electrical tree formation shows inverse relationship.  相似文献

Many processes have been considered over the years to explain the origin of breakdown in cable insulation. Such effects as space charge build-up, tree growth, charge injection, etc. have all been discussed. Various techniques are now available to measure, in a nondestructive way, space charge distributions in insulators. These techniques, for instance the pressure wave propagation (PWP) method, can be used under applied electric stress and thus make it possible to follow the development of space charge in selected regions of the insulators. In this paper we present new evidence linking space charge buildup, tree growth and breakdown in XLPE. We have used the PWP method to monitor the charge distribution as a function of time under dc stress in high insulating thickness cable. We show that for certain insulation systems the space charge buildup can increases the local field to a value which is more than 8× the applied electric field, leading to breakdown. Post-mortem analysis followed by optical microscopy shows the presence of electrical trees, the breakdown channel being centered on one of them. The study of space charge evolution in practical insulations permits an understanding of the role of space charge in dc breakdowns. This understanding enables the development of technologies to suppress this effect and hence realize practical dc XLPE transmission cables  相似文献

为理解变压器用纤维素绝缘纸在其热老化过程中的空间电荷特性演变规律及其影响机制,采用电声脉冲法研究不同老化程度绝缘纸在不同电压等级(30、15和5kV/mm)下的加压和去压后的电荷密度分布规律,分析了绝缘纸热老化程度与其空间电荷特性演变规律间的联系。结果表明:纤维素绝缘纸体内电荷注入量及注入速率与外施电场等级成正比关系。热老化能够降低纤维素绝缘纸空间电荷注入的起始阈值,并减缓绝缘纸体内电荷注入和迁移的速率,从而削弱了体内电荷的复合现象。随着热老化程度的增加,纤维素绝缘纸体内陷阱的分布密度和陷阱能级的深度都将增大,致使材料体内残留电荷不仅总量逐渐增大,而且衰减速率逐渐降低。研究成果为理解热老化对纤维素绝缘纸空间电荷积聚和消散的影响机制提供了理论支撑。  相似文献

The requirement of insertion of optical amplifier units and joints, into long-distance submarine telecommunication systems, results in regions of the polymeric insulation which have to be reinstated, using injection molding techniques. These techniques introduce internal amalgamated interfaces, which subsequently can be the sites of possible electrical insulation failure in the system. This paper reports on space charge measurements, (using the pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) technique), from microtomed thin film samples taken from the interface region of typical system joints which have undergone accelerated aging tests under a dc voltage at room temperature. The space charge distributions obtained for the samples are discussed with reference to the underlying mechanisms of both the bulk low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and the surface (LDPE/electrode interface). The effect of varying the electrode material (i.e. Au and Al) is discussed with reference to previously published data. The PEA technique has been modified to study the space charge development in solid dielectrics subjected to AC electric field. Narrow (5 ns) electrical pulses are applied at various phase angles of the AC waveform. Special software, developed to precisely synchronize the pulse generator with the high voltage supply, applied the narrow pulses at 0deg phase angle and then in steps of 10deg till 360deg. By processing the PEA data at various phase angles of the AC waveform, without resorting to complex mathematical analysis, the electric field at which charges are injected into the polymeric insulation was determined. The effects of electrode materials on space charge formation in low-density polyethylene (LDPE) have been investigated experimentally using the pulsed electroacoustic (PEA) technique. Common electrode materials used in either the laboratory or power cable industry were selected, i.e. aluminum, gold and carbon loaded crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE), and space charge accumulation after the application of high electric stress was monitored. Experimental results demonstrated that charge injection processes take place in all cases once the applied stress has exceeded a threshold. However the amount of charge, and the polarity of the dominant injected charges showed a significant dependence on the electrode materials under the same applied electric stress  相似文献

油纸材料的绝缘问题在换流变压器、直流套管、直流电缆等高压大型直流设备大量应用的情况下显得十分突出。为探讨高压直流设备绝缘的最主要问题—空间电荷效应,应用电声脉冲法(PEA)对油纸绝缘材料的空间电荷特性进行了研究。有关外加场强对油纸材料中空间电荷积聚情况的影响和在较高场强下油纸材料的击穿破坏与空间电荷关系的研究结果表明:①低场强下油纸材料中空间电荷以电离产生为主;而在较高场强下,先后在阴极和阳极产生了同极性载流子注入。②相对于聚乙烯而言,由于油纸材料的电导率较大,材料内的空间电荷在外加电场撤去后很快消散。③空间电荷的注入和运动会导致油纸材料的劣化和破坏。油纸材料中的空间电荷快速消散现象有利于直流设备在极性反转条件下的运行,为阐释油纸绝缘良好的长期性能提供了有重要意义的试验依据。  相似文献

在直流电场作用下 ,用电声脉冲法测量了低密度聚乙烯 (LDPE)中空间电荷的分布 ,计算结果表明 ,异极性空间电荷严重畸变试样中的电场的分布。以少量氯化聚乙烯 (CPE)混入低密度聚乙烯中 ,大大降低了试样中的空间电荷 ,电场分布趋向均匀。在正负极性直流预压短路树枝试验中 ,分别提高试样短路树枝起始电压 2 6 8%和 36 3%。通过直流预压和电晕电荷注入后 ,短路过程中空间电荷分布的测量 ,提出氯化聚乙烯的作用机理在于降低了聚乙烯中陷阱的深度和密度。  相似文献

Space charge observation is becoming the most widely used technique to evaluate polymeric materials for dc insulation applications, particularly HV cables. However, quantities are still lacking that can help to summarize and interpret the huge amount of data resulting from space charge measurements, and that also are associated with the electrical performance of the insulation. The purpose of this paper is to propose test methods and parameters, based on the pulsed electroacoustic technique, which can be used for the evaluation of the electrical performance of polymeric insulation under dc fields. These parameters are related to the space charge magnitude and mobility as well as to the internal electric field amplification, the rate of charge accumulation, and the threshold field above which charge is stored in the insulation. In order to investigate the meaning of the parameters proposed for the assessment of insulation performance, the correlation between these parameters associated with space charge and insulation life is discussed. Examples are reported with reference to five different candidate materials for dc cable insulation  相似文献

This paper illustrates a new model that enables the estimation of life of polymeric insulation subjected to DC stress, both in the presence and in the absence of voltage polarity inversions. The derivation of the model parameters is based on the results of space charge measurements and accelerated life tests realized at constant DC stress, which allows the characterization of the performance of insulating materials under DC electrical stress to be carried out in short times. The expected life of a cable in service can be evaluated by means of this model, provided that the rate of voltage inversions expected during its life is known or estimated. The model is applied here to results of tests carried out on polyethylene-based materials for cable insulation, and model parameters are calculated resorting to two different approaches. A satisfactory fitting of life test results is achieved, thus confirming the validity of the proposed model.  相似文献

提出一种交流电压下的电声脉冲法空间电荷测试新方法。采用电脉冲作为触发源,利用数字示波器的长存储功能同时获取空间电荷信号和高压交流电压信号,从而避免了传统交流空间电荷测试方法的硬件同步。通过调整脉冲发生器的频率可获取不同相位下的高压交流下的空间电荷响应,并通过平均若干个交流周期的空间电荷信号获得足够信噪比的相位相关的空间电荷信号。通过对低密度聚乙烯工频50 Hz下的空间电荷测量结果表明,在交流电场下,下电极附近区域会形成异号电荷;与传统的交流空间电荷测量系统相比,由于测量时间得到很大程度缩短空间电荷信息能够最大限度保存,并且新系统较老系统有更高的相位分辨率,空间电荷衰减图形更能逼真的反映电荷动态变化。  相似文献
