Comparison is made of the relative costs of personnel- and object-related surveillance. Reference is made to typical constructional defects. Time-tried practical working guide lines which contain clearly defined quality standards are presented. The basic principles for the self-accountability of manufacturers for the quality of their products are thus covered.
