Allyl phenyl compounds, allyl epoxy resins, and epoxy acrylate resins are adapted to copolymerize with bismaleimide (BMI) resins and to modify mechanical properties and processing properties. Reaction activity, physical properties, mechanical properties, dielectric properties, and thermal stability were investigated. Impact strength and flexural strength of modified BMI resin are increased about twice and 42% than that of pure BMI resin, respectively. Fracture elongation is from 1.6 to 2.3%. The fracture surfaces of the broken specimens are examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). As a result, modified BMI resins put up typical toughness rupture. The modified BMI resins possess excellent dielectric properties, and dielectric constant and dielectric loss almost hold the line with increasing epoxy concentration. When the test frequency scope is from 1 to 20 GHz, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of modified BMI resins is 3.05–3.12 and 0.0089–0.012, respectively. The modified BMI resins still possess fine properties after hydrothermal aging. After 100 h in boiling water, the reservation ratios of both the impact strength and flexural strength of modified system exceeded 90%, and the water absorption and heat distortion temperature (HDT) is 2.6% and 235°C, respectively. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Dodecaborides are promising high strength ceramic and refractory materials, due to the excellent physical properties. However, the scarce systematic investigations of physical properties of B12M (M=Th, U, Np, Pu) dodecaborides hinder the better applications of these dodecaborides. By means of the first-principles approach, we systemically investigated the phase stability, elastic, anisotropic properties, dynamical stability and thermodynamic properties of B12M (M=Th, U, Np, Pu) dodecaborides. The optimized structure constants are consistent with available experimental data. The values of formation enthalpies and V/V0 under pressure indicate B12M have good phase stability. The elastic parameters and modulus indicate that B12M dodecaborides are all brittle and superhard materials. The results of anisotropic factors, 3D surface contours and 2D projections of B12M indicate that they are all anisotropic, but the extent of anisotropy is relatively small. Anisotropy of acoustic velocities and the 2D planar projections of the minimum thermal conductivity are also calculated and discussed. The lattice dynamic properties indicate that four dodecaborides are all satisfied with the dynamic stability conditions. The relationship between thermodynamic quantity and temperature was calculated and discussed for four dodecaborides. 相似文献

In this work, hybrid fillers consist of modified silica (SiO2) and multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) were used to improve the mechanical, dielectric, and thermal properties of fluorosilicone (FSR) composites via a direct mechanical mixing method. With the increase of CNT loading in SiO2/CNT hybrid loading ratio, the tensile properties, dielectric constant, electrical conductivity, and thermal properties all increase without a sharp sacrifice of flexibility. The dielectric constant of FSR-S15/C5 achieved 7,370 @1 kHz, which is about four orders of the FSR-S20, and the dielectric loss remains as low as 0.676 @1 kHz. Therefore, the linkage of SiO2 and FSR chains not only enhances the interfacial interaction between the fillers and FSR matrix but also decreases the agglomeration of the fillers in matrix. What is more, modified SiO2 and CNT were designed as the effective hybrid filler to improve the performance of the polymeric matrix through synergic effect. 相似文献

探讨了三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)和环氧化天然橡胶(ENR)的共混比、加料顺序、硫化体系对EPDM/ENR共混物的硫化特性、力学性能和耐热空气老化性能的影响。结果表明,共混比不同,共混胶的性能均有差异,且共混物的力学性能低于单组分的线性加和值,但综合比较而言,当EPDM/ENR=40/60时共混胶的力学性能较好;在所研究的四种加料顺序中,以配合剂先与EPDM制成母炼胶后再与ENR共混的这一种加料顺序下所得的共混物硫化胶的力学性能最好;采用半有效硫化体系所制得的共混物硫化胶的力学性能较好。 相似文献

In this study, blown films were produced from three different high density polyethylene (HDPE) resins. Further, these blown films were oriented along the machine direction using either traditional machine direction orientation (MDO) or compression roll drawing (CRD MDO) technology. The stretched/oriented films were compared for their water vapor transport and optical properties as a function of the extent of orientation (i.e., draw ratio, DR). In addition to that, these properties were directly compared between the oriented and unoriented (blown) films of the same thickness. The present study revealed that the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) as a function of draw ratio (DR) went through a maxima. Detailed morphological characterization showed that initially, at low DR, stretching resulted in lamellar organization (along the MD). Consequently, the tortuosity in the diffusion path decreased and the overall WVTR increased. However, beyond a critical DR, lamellar crystals transformed to microfibrillar crystals. During this process the amorphous content of the HDPE chains decreased and geometric redistribution of the amorphous phase occurred along with some orientation. As a combination of all these effects, the WVTR was found to decrease beyond the critical DR. Unlike transport properties, optical properties monotonically improved as a function of DR. Further, for both, the barrier and optical properties, the absolute values were found to be a strong function of the resin physical properties. Finally, compression roll drawing technology (CRD MDO) utilizes a patented process that simultaneously applies a stretching and compressive force to orient polymer chains homogeneously without any tiger striping (uneven deformation). Consequently, CRD MDO stretched samples showed a lower surface roughness compared to their traditional MDO stretched counterpart. Therefore, for the same resin and DR, CRD MDO stretched samples displayed markedly better barrier properties and optics, especially lower total haze and higher gloss. 相似文献
