Metallography, DTA, x-ray, and electron-probe microanalysis methods have been applied to alloys with four compositions in the cast and annealed states. A phase diagram has been constructed for the entire concentration range on the basis of these data together with published ones. The diagram is of peritectic type, and the peritectic temperature is 1500°C. The mutual solubilities of the components at that temperature are 13.3 at.% osmium in nickel and 13 at. % nickel in osmium. The solubility of osmium in nickel falls to 9.2 at. % when the temperature is reduced to 1200°C.  相似文献

STUDY DESIGN: This study analyzed the relationship between the configuration of the atlantoaxial joint and the clinical characteristics of patients with os odontoideum. OBJECTIVES: To compare three types of atlantoaxial configurations of os odontoideum from the viewpoint of clinical characteristics. METHODS: Twelve patients were classified into the following three types according to their atlantoaxial configuration on an anteroposterior radiogram: round (n = 6), cone (n = 4), and blunt-tooth (n = 2). Clinical features in each group were compared in terms of mean age, gender distribution, severity and type of myelopathy, and degenerative findings of the atlantoaxial joint. RESULTS: The patients in the round type group were predominantly women and had more severe myelopathy than that of patients in the other groups. According to Crandall's classification of myelopathy, all patients showed the transverse lesion syndrome in the cone and blunt-tooth types. Four of six patients with the round type of atlantoaxial configuration had the Brown-Séquard syndrome. With the round type, it appeared that the lateral mass of the axis tended to dislocate laterally, and this lateral instability associated with anteroposterior instability was believed to induced the Brown-Séquard syndrome. CONCLUSIONS: Myelopathy in patients in the round type group was the most severe compared with that of patients in the other three groups. This classification is considered useful for estimating clinical findings in os odontoideum.  相似文献

Trichosporon species have been known to cause summer-type hypersensitivity pneumonitis (SHP). During the isolation of yeasts from an SHP patient's house, we recovered a strain belonging to the genus Trichosporon. Morphologically, the isolate produced rectangular arthroconidia when grown on corn meal agar. DNA-DNA hybridization experiments identified the isolate as T. ovoides. A slide agglutination test using specific factor sera demonstrated that the serotype of the strain was type II. Previously, T. asahii, a serotype II species, was considered to be the major antigen of SHP, but it is possible that T. ovoides may also be responsible for SHP. This is the first report of T. ovoides isolated from an SHP patient's home environment.  相似文献

The os supratrochlear dorsale, an accessory ossicle of the elbow, has rarely been described in the literature. Rather than being caused by trauma, it is subject to trauma by elbow extension with secondary chondrometaplasia, resulting symptomatology. The aim of this report is to remind readers that its presence is crucial for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Arthroscopic removal may be required to relieve persistent pain, catching and limited range of motion.  相似文献
