为了获得一种平坦功率输出的宽带波长可调的掺铒光纤环型激光器,提出采用一高双折射光纤环镜获得其平坦功率输出,在高双折射光纤环镜中,采用了大量的高双折射光纤段和偏振控制器,它们的反射光谱可补偿掺铒光纤环型激光器输出功率光谱的不平坦,通过压缩或者延伸激光腔里的分布式光纤布喇格光栅即可实现波长调谐。实验验证可以获得一种宽达38nm的宽带波长调谐(1527nm~1565nm),输出功率的不平坦被控制在±0.8dB范围之内,总输出功率大约4dBm、3dB线宽为0.01nm、旁瓣抑制比为48dB的光纤环型激光器。 相似文献

提出了一种光纤光栅传感解调新方法。系统由1个3dB耦合器、1个传感光纤布喇格光栅、1个双折射光纤环镜和1个探测器构成,高双折射光纤环镜作为边缘滤波器。光纤光栅波长的线性解调带宽为3.6nm。对双折射光纤环镜的温度补偿进行了实验研究,实验表明,封装的高双折射光纤环镜能够补偿高双折射光纤环镜的温度漂移。补偿前的高双折射光纤环镜波长随温度漂移为2.3nm/℃,补偿后的双折射光纤环镜波长随温度漂移为0.005nm/℃,远小于未补偿的双折射光纤环镜波长随温度漂移。 相似文献

采用高双折射光纤环形镜进行了L bandEDFA的增益平坦实验。调节环内的偏振控制器,可以改变环的反射谱或透射谱的位置和深度;改变环内高双折射光纤的长度,可以改变环的反射谱或透射谱的波长响应周期。适当选取双折射光纤的长度和调节偏振控制器使环形镜的反射谱EDFA的增益谱相匹配。实现了L bandEDFA的增益平坦。双级结构的L bandEDFA经高双折射光纤环形镜平坦后,在1570~1595nm范围内,平均增益18.6dB,增益平坦度达±0.57dB。 相似文献

A theoretical study of an optical fiber filter comprising a double-coupler fiber loop mirror and a single-coupler fiber ring (or loop) is presented. An active scheme using degenerate two-wave mixing is also proposed. The circulating, transmitted and reflected output fields and intensities, as well as some performance parameters such as the peak transmission, contrast and contrasted transmission, are computed and presented in graphical form. The characteristics and potential applications of this filter are discussed. It is found that the use of degenerate two-wave mixing results in a significant increase in the finesse and a dramatic change in the output characteristics of the filter 相似文献

We newly propose and theoretically analyze a Sagnac loop mirror with an inline ring resonator containing a piece of high birefringence fiber (HBF) and erbium-doped fiber (EDF). With the EDF properly pumped to offset the passive loss in the inline ring resonator, narrowband transmission peaks with large effective free spectral range can be realized by the intrinsic vernier effect between orthogonally polarized lights traveling along the two primary axes in the HBF. In addition, this property is independent of polarization states of the input signal, which makes the proposed Sagnac loop mirror suitable for a narrowband filter applied to single-frequency fiber lasers. 相似文献

We investigate the steady-state properties of cascaded stimulated Brillouin scattering (CSBS) in a fiber Fabry-Perot resonator with reflection mirrors by numerically solving the coupled-power equations under the boundary conditions at the two mirrors. The dependence of CSBS on the input power is calculated for the symmetric and asymmetric fiber resonators. A single-frequency ytterbium fiber laser was demonstrated by introducing a loop mirror filter, a polarization controller (PC), and dual-cascaded fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) in linear laser cavity. The loop mirror with unpumped ytterbium fiber as a narrow bandwidth filter discriminated and selected laser longitudinal modes efficiently. The spatial hole burning effect was restrained by adjusting PC appropriately. Dual closely cascaded FBGs as the output coupler, acting as an etalon, expanded the operation range of single frequency. Output power up to 18 mW at 1064 nm were obtained under the launched pump power of 107 mW at 976 nm, the optical-optical conversion efficiency was about 16.8%; the slope efficiency was about 20%. 相似文献

A tunable self-seeded multi-wavelength Brillouin-erbium fiber laser (BEFL) is proposed and demonstrated based on a few-mode fiber filter (FMFF) with varying temperature. The FMFF configuration is a section of uncoated few-mode fiber (FMF) sandwiched between two up-tapers. As the temperature varies from 25 °C to 125 °C, the transmission spectrum of FMFF moves towards the longer wavelength. The self-excited Brillouin pump is internally achieved by cascaded stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) in the single mode fiber (SMF). Then employing the FMFF temperature variation characteristics in the ring cavity fiber laser, the multi-wavelength of the output laser can be tuned, and the tunable range is about 8.0 nm. The generation of up to 15 Brillouin Stokes wavelengths with 16 dB optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) is realized. 相似文献

A single-longitudinal-mode multiwavelength fiber ring laser is proposed and demonstrated. The single-longitudinal-mode operation is realized using a fiber loop mirror with a saturable absorber. The fiber loop mirror acts as a passive self-tracking narrow multiband optical filter. Single-longitudinal-mode multiwavelength lasing is generated by using either a Lyot-Sagnac filter or a fiber grating array. 相似文献
