The radiation characteristics of a curl antenna excited by an L-wire are presented. The frequency bandwidth for a 3 dB axial ratio criterion is ~6%, with a nearly resistive input impedance of 75 Ω. An array antenna of the 36 curls shows a gain of 23 dB with an aperture efficiency of 73%  相似文献

提出了一款应用于Ku波段的宽带高增益基片集成腔(Substrate Integrated Cavity,SIC)圆极化阵列天线。通过引入沿SIC口径面对角线放置的一对半月形寄生贴片和SIC底部馈电纵缝,使SIC中的TM_(211)和TM_(121)谐振模式幅值相等、相位相差90°,产生高增益圆极化辐射。同时,双寄生贴片还引入了一种背腔缝隙耦合振子圆极化辐射模式,扩宽了天线高增益圆极化辐射带宽。在此基础上,设计了一款2×2单元顺序旋转馈电的SIC圆极化阵列天线。阵列天线采用双层基片集成波导顺序相移馈电网络进行馈电,进一步增大了天线的圆极化带宽。综合考虑天线的-10 dB反射系数带宽、3 dB轴比带宽和3 dB增益带宽,测试结果表明,圆极化阵列天线的有效带宽为10.74-13.30 GHz(21.3%),在通带范围内最大增益为14.50 dBi。  相似文献

设计了一副宽带高增益圆极化微带天线,并进行组阵分析。天线中心频率2.6 GHz,通过增加寄生贴片和空气层来提高天线单元的增益和带宽。上下两层介质板上边长不同的切角方形贴片分别激励一个低频与高频的圆极化模,有效地拓宽了轴比带宽。仿真结果表明,反射系数|S11|<-10 dB带宽21.8%,3 dB轴比带宽12.0%,中心频率点增益9.0 dBi。对天线单元进行加工测试,与仿真结果较为吻合。设计了2×4元阵列,并进行了仿真,增益提升至17.5 dBi,3 dB轴比带宽10.4%。  相似文献

A novel broadband circularly polarized aperture antenna is presented that uses traveling-wave excitation as the design concept. The antenna configuration consists of a circular radiating aperture, a backed cavity, and an equiangular tapered strip outer-fed by a microstrip transmission line. Operating with a traveling wave excitation, the proposed antenna contains inherent broadband characteristics in terms of the impedance, axial ratio, and gain performances. The presented antenna is comprehensively investigated, including the working principles, design consideration, and parametric studies. In addition, the research interests are extended to a 2$,times,$ 2 antenna array. Promising results from the experimental 2$,times,$2 array are achieved, including the 10-dB return loss bandwidth of 70%, the 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 50%, and the half-power (3-dB) gain bandwidth of 40% with a maximum gain about 11 dBi. The design and development of a dual linearly polarized aperture coupled circular microstrip patch antenna at C-band are presented. The antenna uses a novel configuration of symmetric and asymmetric coupling slots. Variations in isolation between orthogonal feedlines and antenna axial ratio with the position of coupling slots are studied and broadband isolation and axial ratio are achieved. The prototype antenna yields 7.6 dBi peak gain, 70/spl deg/ 3-dB beam width, 25 dB cross-polarization levels and an isolation better than 28 dB between the two ports. With an external quadrature hybrid coupler connected to the two orthogonal feedlines, the antenna yields 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of more than 30% at 5.8 GHz.  相似文献

The design, fabrication, and experimental implementation of the one-patch microstrip antenna coupled with an H-shaped aperture are presented. The presented antenna has a wide bandwidth, high gain, and low cross-polarisation levels with only one-patch. The measured bandwidth of this antenna is 56.2% for the voltage standing wave ratio ⩽2.0. The cross-polarisation level is below -18.2 dB at the E-plane and below -25.7 dB at the H-plane. The maximum gain at 2.05 GHz is 10.4 dBi and the 3 dB gain bandwidth with a centre frequency at 2.17 GHz is 24%  相似文献

A new receiving planar array antenna for DBS (direct broadcasting satellite) is proposed. The element antenna is a short waveguide aperture mounted in the ground plane, loaded with a dielectric and polarizers, and excited through its side wall by another feeding rectangular waveguide. The gain of the element antenna loaded with a dielectric is so high that the grating lobes can be reduced sufficiently even if the element spacing in the array is wider than the wavelength in free space. Therefore we can reduce the number of the array elements, and parallel feeding by the low loss waveguide network can be feasible to provide a planar array antenna. This paper describes the experimental results of several kinds of the circularly polarized dielectric-loaded element antennas and the planar antennas fed by the waveguide network. In the 12 GHz band the planar antenna with 64-element radiators has a maximum gain of 31.9 dBi with an aperture efficiency of 94.7%, the 1 dB-down frequency bandwidth of the gain is about 800 MHz (6.7% for a center frequency of 11.85 GHz), and the frequency bandwidth of the axial ratio is less than 1 dB of 850 MHz (7.2%)  相似文献

An unbalance-fed cross aperture is developed to excite a short backfire antenna (SBA) for circular polarization. The cross aperture consists of two orthogonal H-shaped slots with a pair of capacitive stubs and is fed by a single probe that forms an unbalanced feed with a shorting pin. It is demonstrated that the cross-aperture-excited SBA can achieve an axial ratio (/spl les/ 3 dB) bandwidth of 4.2% with a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) bandwidth of 6.5% (VSWR<1.2) and a gain of 14 dBi. The antenna structure is described and the simulation and experimental results are presented. The mechanisms for impedance matching and circular-polarization production are analyzed.  相似文献

A monofilar spiral antenna is analyzed in the presence of a conducting plane reflector, using the method of moments. The circumference of the spiral antenna is chosen to be 2.3 wavelengths. A tilted beam of circular polarization is realized by superposing the fields from two active regions. The gain of the tilted beam is approximately 8 dB. The frequency bandwidths for 1-dB gain drop and 3-dB axial ratio criterions are 12% and 23%, respectively. An array consisting of the four monofilar spiral antennas is also analyzed, where the array element spacing is chosen to be 0.8 wavelength at a design frequency f0. The input impedances of the four spirals are almost the same as the impedance of the single monofilar spiral antenna at f0. The array radiates a tilted fan beam with a gain increase of approximately 6 dB from the gain of the single spiral antenna at f0. The frequency bandwidth for a 3-dB axial ratio criterion is almost the same as that of the single spiral antenna  相似文献

提出了一款高增益低副瓣新型圆极化微带天线阵。单元天线采用叠层切角圆极化微带结构,通过八边形边界布局和顺序旋转交叠组阵技术,实现了天线阵方向性图的对称性和圆极化辐射性能的最优化;馈电网络采用威尔金森功分器和最大平坦式阻抗变换器实现不等功分宽带阻抗匹配,通过改进馈电方向寻求对称结构,简化了馈电网络的设计。制作了天线阵实物并进行了测量。测试结果表明:天线在3.2~4.6 GHz频段内S11<-10 dB,阻抗相对带宽36%;在3.8~4.5 GHz频段内顶点轴比小于3 dB,圆极化相对带宽17%;在4~4.4 GHz频段内天线增益均在15 dB以上,最高增益达17 dB。  相似文献

本文分析和对比了W 波段圆极化微带阵列天线不同的馈电形式,完成了圆极化阵列天线的设计。由理论分析 和仿真结果可知,单元间等幅同相馈电有利于W 波段圆极化微带阵列天线的实现,其2x2 阵列天线仿真结果驻波小于2 的相对带宽为3.5%, 轴比小于3dB 带宽为2%,中心频点94GHz 时天线增益为12.2dB。该天线在军事领域具有广泛的应 用前景。  相似文献

A radiation element, designated as a curl antenna, is proposed for a circularly polarized antenna. The radiation characteristics of the curl are numerically analyzed. The gain is approximately 8.4 dB, and the 3-dB axial ratio criterion is 6.7%. Two aspects of curl array antennas are also presented: a decoupling factor between two curls and a circular array antenna consisting of 168 curls. Calculations show how the decoupling factor depends on the relative rotation angle of the two curls. The 168-curl array antenna shows a high aperture efficiency of 95%  相似文献

提出了一种基于缝隙耦合超材料表面的低剖面圆极化高增益天线,该天线由一个超材料表面和一个微带缝隙天线紧贴着组成. 通过改变超表面切角的大小来产生圆极化波,同时还可以提高天线增益和拓宽阻抗带宽. 为了验证仿真结果,制作和测量了一个大小为1λ×1λ×0.067λ(在10 GHz处)的样本天线,仿真和测量结果显示出良好的一致性. 结果表明,在整个工作带宽内天线的增益均在7.5 dB以上,最大增益达到10.5 dB,比普通缝隙天线提高了5.3 dB,阻抗带宽(S11 < ?10 dB)为27.4%,轴比带宽(AR < 3 dB)达到12.3%. 因此,该天线能同时满足低剖面、圆极化、高增益等多种性能的要求,可以应用于许多领域.  相似文献

采用双层矩形贴片加切角的结构设计圆极化单元,并将其组成应用于X 波段64 单元高增益圆极化微带阵列天线。天线基板采用Taconic-TRF,介电常数4. 5,厚度0. 81mm,损耗角正切0. 0035。利用Ansoft HF-SS 软件对单元及阵列模型进行仿真优化。通过实际测试,64 单元阵列天线轴比AR<6dB 的带宽500MHz,增益达到21. 2dB,S11 <-10dB 的相对阻抗带宽达到6. 9%,天线具有良好的圆极化和阻抗匹配特性。圆极化天线具有较强的抗干扰能力,可很好地应用于电子侦察、电子对抗等领域。设计的圆极化微带阵列天线为组成更大阵列的天线以及构建相控阵天线提供了单元基础。  相似文献

This paper presents the design, simulation, and measurements of two low-cost broadband circularly polarized (CP) printed antennas: an element and an array at 2 GHz. To realize the broadband circularly polarized antenna element, a circular microstrip patch is electromagnetically coupled by crossed slots cut in the ground plane, which is fed by an L-shaped microstrip feed. Two orthogonal modes in the patch are excited by using the crossed slots, and a single L-shaped feed provides a 90deg phase shift between two orthogonal slots. The antenna element achieves a 9.6% bandwidth for an axial ratio (AR) below 3 dB and a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) below 1.5. To further improve the performance, a sequentially rotated feed network is designed for a 2 times 2 array. The axial ratio value of the array is below 3 dB within a 27.2% bandwidth, from 1.75 GHz to 2.3 GHz. The return loss is above 10 dB within a 41% bandwidth, from 1.62 GHz to 2.45 GHz. Details of the proposed antenna element and the array design are described, and both the simulation and the experimental results are presented and discussed.  相似文献

A novel broadband planar antenna based on the classic Yagi-Uda dipole array is presented. This "quasi-Yagi" antenna achieves a measured 48% bandwidth for VSWR <2, better than 12 dB front-to-back ratio, smaller than -15 dB cross polarization, 3-5 dB absolute gain and a nominal efficiency of 93% across the operating bandwidth. Finite-difference time-domain simulation is used for optimization of the antenna and the results agree very well with measurements. Additionally, a gain-enhanced design is presented, where higher gain has been achieved at the cost of reduced bandwidth. These quasi-Yagi antennas are realized on a high dielectric constant substrate and are completely compatible with microstrip circuitry and solid-state devices. The excellent radiation properties of this antenna make it ideal as either a stand-alone antenna with a broad pattern or as an array element. The antenna should find wide applications in wireless communication systems, power combining, phased arrays and active arrays, as well as millimeter-wave imaging arrays.  相似文献

An analysis is presented for a microstrip-feed proximity-coupled ring antenna and a four-element array. Interactions between the embedded microstrip feed and the radiating element(s) are rigorously included. Results demonstrate that circular polarization of both senses can be achieved with a ring antenna with proper design of two inner stubs located at angles of ±45° with respect to the feedline. Theory and experiment demonstrate an axial ratio 3-dB bandwidth of 1% and the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) <2 bandwidth of 6.1%. The axial ratio bandwidth is typical for a microstrip antenna with perturbations, while the VSWR bandwidth is larger than for the circular or rectangular patch with perturbations. A mutual coupling study between two elements shows that the axial ratio is less than 2 dB for interelement spacing greater than 0.55λeff, while the VSWR <2 for all spacings considered. A comparison between theory and experiment is provided for a 2×2 element array. The benefits of sequentially rotating the antenna elements in an array environment are presented. The axial ratio and VSWR bandwidths are both increased to 6.1% and 18% for a four-element array. A single-element antenna with two orthogonal feeds to provide both senses of polarization is demonstrated. The ring antenna is small (D/λ0=0.325), the substrate thickness is thin (H/λ0~0.035), and the microstrip feed produces a completely planar antenna system, which is compatible with microwave and millimeter integrated circuits (MICs), and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs)  相似文献

The truncated spherical helix is presented as a compact circularly polarised antenna with relatively high gain and moderate bandwidth. A numerical investigation into the radiation properties of this antenna is also presented. The antenna provides a directivity of >9 dB and an axial ratio of <3 dB over a 10% bandwidth.
