Sentiment analysis incorporates natural language processing and artificial intelligence and has evolved as an important research area. Sentiment analysis on product reviews has been used in widespread applications to improve customer retention and business processes. In this paper, we propose a method for performing an intensified sentiment analysis on customer product reviews. The method involves the extraction of two feature sets from each of the given customer product reviews, a set of acoustic features (representing emotions) and a set of lexical features (representing sentiments). These sets are then combined and used in a supervised classifier to predict the sentiments of customers. We use an audio speech dataset prepared from Amazon product reviews and downloaded from the YouTube portal for the purposes of our experimental evaluations.  相似文献

Nowadays, printed-wire-boards (PWB) appear in nearly every electronic appliance. The fast pace of technological innovation and the consequent shortening of the product lifetime lead to a rapidly growing waste stream of electronic products. Therefore, solutions regarding the end-of-life are urgently required. Our goal is to extend the lifetime of electronic products in order to decrease the environmental impact. Therefore, this case study focused on designing PWBs for maximum component reusability and for a better separation of hazardous components. The project became possible by building a flexible semiautomatic disassembling cell "/spl Sigma/! 1592-Disassembly Factory" within the strategic CARE initiative for extracting valuable components from PWBs. Finally, design guidelines are going to be presented that address the layout of PWBs, important properties of components and integrated circuits (ICs), connection technologies, and others. The intention of this paper is to close the loop among the actors of the product lifecycle and particularly between recycling companies and manufacturers. The checklist will help product designers to identify the most important aspects in terms of reusability and environmentally conscious design of PWBs.  相似文献

Opinion mining involves the analysis of customer opinions using product reviews and provides meaningful information including the polarity of the opinions. In opinion mining, feature extraction is important since the customers do not normally express their product opinions holistically but separately according to its individual features. However, previous research on feature‐based opinion mining has not had good results due to drawbacks, such as selecting a feature considering only syntactical grammar information or treating features with similar meanings as different. To solve these problems, this paper proposes an enhanced feature extraction and refinement method called FEROM that effectively extracts correct features from review data by exploiting both grammatical properties and semantic characteristics of feature words and refines the features by recognizing and merging similar ones. A series of experiments performed on actual online review data demonstrated that FEROM is highly effective at extracting and refining features for analyzing customer review data and eventually contributes to accurate and functional opinion mining.  相似文献

The development of metrology to support the optical fiber communications industry is an excellent case study of how stakeholders-fiber manufacturers, their customers, standards-developing organizations, and (in the U.S.) the Federal Government-worked together to develop product specification standards that facilitated the growth of an industry. This paper reviews some of that history, primarily from the perspective of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, which worked with the industry to provide independent research and neutral coordination of many industry studies and measurement comparisons.  相似文献

For any small and medium-sized manufacturer, delivery deadline compliance and quality assurance are the most important factors for their survival. And, for the compliance to delivery deadline, the SCM system that integrates the manufacturing process covering from the material purchase to the product release and the demand process covering from the logistics to the sales process is required. To guarantee the manufacturing quality, a system that maintains the optimized rate-of-production by responding in advance to any fault occurrence in the process and/or the facility is required. The big data analysis technology that is required to provide the decision support system optimized for the analysis based manufacturing management for small and medium-sized manufacturers greatly in need for their survival and competition has been introduced. This study aims to develop a model of knowledge-based system for manufacturing facilities optimization specialized for small and medium-sized manufacturers by collecting and analyzing data generated in the supply chain networks and manufacturing facilities of small and medium-sized manufacturers. This study proposes the development of knowledge-based process management system for the survival and the competitiveness improvement for small and medium-sized manufacturers in very weak business conditions. Specifically, the proposal is on the development of system and its service model to support the decision on the manufacturing process management by providing high level knowledge through the data analysis on manufacturing facilities of small and medium-sized manufacturers.  相似文献

Recently, “closed” or “private” social network services (SNSs) have emerged and become popular; this popularity is primarily driven by privacy issues and information overload in open SNSs such as Twitter or Facebook. Scholars and practitioners are interested in the relationship between product reviews and customer trust in both closed and open SNSs, but we do not fully understand why, how, or what types of online product reviews in open or closed SNSs influence trust. This paper explores how customer trust in content is influenced by different types of content generators and SNSs. The results of our experiments show that user-generated content (UGC) has a stronger effect on customers’ cognitive trust than does marketer-generated content (MGC) and that the effect of product reviews in closed SNSs on customers’ cognitive and emotional trust is greater than the effect in open SNSs. Finally, we find that the interaction between content generator types and SNS types affects customers’ emotional trust. This paper contributes to the empirical research on SNSs and online product reviews and has practical implications.  相似文献

We propose a way to measure the absorber reflectivity at a low cost. Only one simple antenna with a small radiating aperture and a frequency‐domain instrument are utilized. The previously used equation for calculating the reflectivity of an absorber is inaccurate, and, therefore, a new equation is derived based on multiple reflection analysis and three test models. Notably, the reflection coefficient of the antenna is included in the derived equation. The accuracy of the proposed method is proven through simulation and measurements. It can be easily applied to a product examination by absorber manufacturers and customers owing to its advantages of simplicity, cost effectiveness, and non‐cutting examination.  相似文献

In conducting a design-of-experiments, with degradation data, to improve the reliability of highly reliable products, one of the most important topics for manufacturers is to identify important factors that affect the product reliability. Several decision variables such as inspection frequency, sample size, and termination time at each run, do influence the precision of identifying the important factors and the experimental cost. This paper proposes a systematic approach to the identification problem with respect to fractional factorial degradation experiments. First, an intuitively appealing identification rule is proposed. Next, the optimum test plan is derived using the criterion of minimizing the total experimental cost. The inspection frequency, sample size, and termination time at each run, that are needed by this identification rule are computed by solving a nonlinear integer programming model with a minimum probability of correct selection. A simulation study investigates the efficiency of this method.  相似文献

Automotive electronics manufacturers are gearing up production lines to implement Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers in a new breed of location-information-based devices called telematics products. These GPS-enabled devices-car navigation systems and mayday systems-now debuting in the luxury vehicle market, will soon find placement in mid-sized vehicles and mini-vans as automotive manufacturers finalize plans to make telematics products more mainstream. GPS-enabled telematics products possess a combination of functions that make driving more pleasurable, safer and easier. These devices are a part of the larger plan to put mobile multimedia products in the cars of today and tomorrow. Although the technology behind the devices remains transparent to the driver, the benefits are realized dramatically. Car navigation systems, which use an electronic map database and provide vocal turn-by-turn routing instructions, ensure confidence when traveling through unfamiliar places. Mayday systems, using an on-board, on-demand communications device, provide the driver with the peace of mind common to owners of monitored home security systems. The ability of portable electronic products like cellular phones and personal digital assistants to withstand accidental impacts and shock is a valuable attribute consumers expect and manufacturers desire. Usually, manufacturers conduct expensive experimental drop tests to determine the fragility of such products during the product design cycle. An alternative to conducting drop tests is to perform numerical simulation. This paper examines the feasibility of studying the drop impact response of an electronic pager using a finite element software, ABAQUS/Explicit. Experimental drop test results are then used to compare with that of numerical simulation. Parameters examined include surface strains on pager housing and impact force. Comparisons show good correlation between experimental and numerical results. Finite element computation allows critical impact orientations and drop heights to be identified so that selective experimental drop tests can be performed to determine the actual physical robustness of these products.  相似文献

随着近几年互联网的发展,网络评论数量正日益增加。对这些网络评论进行挖掘和分析,识别出其中的情感倾向,可以给用户、企业、政府提供重要的决策支持。采用机器学习方法中的朴素贝叶斯和支持向量机分类模型,根据不同的停用词表、特征选择方法、特征加权方法的组合,对中文文本倾向性分类进行了研究。结论表明,采用保留情感信息相关词性的停用词表,以文档频率为特征选择方法,并应用基于绝对词频的支持向量机分类模型,能取得较好的分类效果。  相似文献

The novel outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was an unexpected event for tourism in the world as well as tourism in the Netherlands. In this situation, the travelers’ decision-making for tourism destinations was heavily affected by this global event. Social media usage has played an essential role in travelers’ decision-making and increased the awareness of travel-related risks from the COVID-19 outbreak. Online consumer media for the outbreak of COVID-19 has been a crucial source of information for travelers. In the current situation, tourists are using electronic word of mouth (eWOM) more and more for travel planning. Opinions provided by peer travelers for the outbreak of COVID-19 tend to reduce the possibility of poor decisions. Nevertheless, the increasing number of reviews per experience makes reading all feedback hard to make an informed decision. Accordingly, recommendation agents developed by machine learning techniques can be effective in the analysis of such social big data for the identification of useful patterns from the data, knowledge discovery, and real-time service recommendations. The current research aims to adopt a framework for the recommendation agents through topic modeling to uncover the most important dimensions of COVID-19 reviews in the Netherland forums in TripAdvisor. This study demonstrates how social networking websites and online reviews can be effective in unexpected events for travelers’ decision making. We conclude with the implications of our study for future research and practice.  相似文献

Warranties play an important role for marketing products in the intensly competitive market, since an attractive policy can dramatically increase market share. However, offering an unlimited warranty with intent to monopolize the market is unrealistic because of the extremely high cost for maintaining such a policy. This paper considers a decision problem under the policy of a pro-rata warranty (PRW), and a Bayesian decision model in determining the optimal warranty proportion is proposed, where a periodic preventive maintenance (PM) program is performed during the warranty term to slow down the product deterioration, and a nonhomogeneous Poisson process is employed to describe the successive breakdown times of the deteriorating product. The proposed approach provides decision-making techniques, not only for taking action in the light of all available relevant information, but also for maximizing expected profits. Finally, an application case is utilized to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the proposed approach, and sensitivity analyses regarding the important factors that may have impacts on the warranty proportion are also discussed.   相似文献

基于纹理特征的方法被广泛应用于人脸识别。然而纹理特征依赖于图像的高频细节信息,当图像出现模糊时,单纯利用纹理特征的识别方法的识别精度会急剧下降。为了克服纹理特征的在模糊人脸识别中的不足,提出了一种基于色彩特征和纹理特征融合的识别方法。首先参照人类的对立色感知机制提取人脸的色彩特征;然后,将该色彩特征和纹理特征分别用于识别分类;最后,将二者的识别相似度进行融合,得到最终的识别结果。该色彩特征描述了图像的低频信息,其对图像模糊不敏感,并且与描述图像高频信息的纹理特征具有良好的互补性。在FERET 和AR 人脸库上的实验表明,融合色彩特征和纹理特征有效地提高了模糊人脸的识别精度。  相似文献
