为了解决电润湿电子纸显示器存在的视频闪烁、电荷泄露问题以及实现电润湿多灰度动态显示,本文针对电润湿电子纸显示器研究设计了一套驱动系统。首先,根据完整的电润湿电子纸驱动系统必须具备的功能,提出了嵌入式+现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)的驱动系统架构,其中嵌入式平台可以对视频源进行实时图像处理,FPGA根据接收到的处理后的数据进行相应的时序控制。接着,采用现有电泳电子纸的源栅驱动芯片作为电润湿电子纸的驱动芯片。最后,本文提出了不等子帧和复位帧的概念用以解决视频闪烁和电荷泄露问题从而更好地实现多灰度显示。实验结果表明:该驱动系统成功解决了电润湿视频闪烁、电荷泄露以及多灰度显示等问题,使电润湿电子纸的视频刷新率达到30 Hz,像素最高灰度可以达到16灰阶并且在该灰度下的电润湿反射率接近60%。整个驱动系统基本满足了多灰度动态显示。  相似文献

电子纸是一种新型的电子显示设备,目前,国内对电子纸屏幕测试方面的研究较少,没有成型的测试标准,且测试手段并不完备,而驱动方式对电子纸屏幕的显示效果影响很大,因而需要有完整的测试手段与方法,试验出适合于不同电子纸屏幕的驱动方式。文章从电泳电子纸的显示原理出发,分析了电泳粒子匀速直线运动模型,并在此基础上设计出电子纸屏幕驱动控制参数。然后,利用基于PC的系统对参数进行配置,通过RS-232接口,以自定义的通讯协议将参数传递到控制器端,从而使电子纸屏幕按照参数所对应的驱动方式进行显示。文章提出的电子纸测试系统对今后国产电子纸的测试、产品化均有积极意义。  相似文献

据报道,日本索尼公司采用低温多晶硅技术,开发了像素数为1024×384,反射率为30%,对比度为17:1的22cm反射式彩色TFTLCD。该器件具有4096显示色,响应速度为18ms,功耗为350mW。据说之所以能取得如此高的反射率和对比度,主要是采用了像素电极的凸凹结构。其次是尽量地提高色纯度.关键是解决相位差极与液晶材料复折射的大小问题,以减少波长分散的发生。该器件计划1999年一季度进行批量生产。22cm反射式彩色TFT LCD@孙再吉  相似文献

研制了一种基于介质上电润湿(electrowetting-on-dielectric,EWOD)的新型低驱动电压电子纸反射式显示单元器件.本文分析了器件的工作原理以及性能影响因素,并提出用优化的氮化硅与碳氟聚合物复合介质层来改善器件的驱动电压.实验证实,器件在15V低电压驱动下成功实现了"开启"、"关闭"功能,其"开启"、"关闭"响应时间小于1/30s.  相似文献

A full-color matrix liquid-crystal display panel with color stripe layers of red, green, and blue on theY-electrodes is proposed. The color stripe layers of 300-µm pitch are made by photolithography. The color purities of greenish, bluish, and purplish colors obtained by the liquid-crystal display panel are as good as those of typical printed inks, while those of yellowish and reddish colors are poor at present. A model to describe the optical behavior of an electrophoretic display (EPD) device is developed. The model involves the particle size and mobility as well as the time of removal of particles from an electrode. The most important aspect of this model is the treatment of the dynamics of removing particle layers from an electrode. This process plays a significant role in controlling the optical off-response rate. The optical on-response is governed by the particle mobility or the spatial distribution of the particles through the cell. Various schemes for addressing the electrophoretic device are discussed. Only a display employing assisted array addressing appears capable of giving a large-area graphics quality display with short response time. Fringing field particle migration was found to seriously degrade image quality. A cell subdivision structure is used to overcome fringing field migration, particle settling, and electrohydrodynamic effects.  相似文献

We have developed two compact flat TV sets and a full-color prototype model, using thin matrix dc gas-discharge panels of novel structure. The display panel is ¼ in thick, has a 7-in diagonal picture size, and contains 60 000 elements. The monochrome version has a peak luminance of 25 fL, a contrast ratio of 40:1, and 32 digitized gray levels, while the full-color set has a luminance of 5 fL, a 20:1 contrast ratio, and 48 levels. Luminance control is performed by varying the magnitude as well as the duration of the display current. All signals are digitized and all circuits consist of TTL IC's, with the exception of the drive transistors. We have constructed two types of experimental monochrome model sets: one for desk-top use packaged in a 300 × 350 × 80 mm housing which includes tuner, A/D converter, and all TV circuits with the exception of a power supply, the other for wall hanging. A full-color flat display panel has also been developed using a similar panel structure and circuitry.  相似文献

We review recent results in the field of organic light-emitting devices (OLED's), with particular attention to the application of organic light-emitting devices to ultra-lightweight, full color, flat-panel displays. We show that OLED brightness, efficiency, operating voltage, and lifetime is sufficient to compete with other flat-panel display technologies such as backlit liquid crystal displays. We describe a novel, tunable OLED consisting of vertically stacked, transparent light-emitting devices which can serve as a color-tunable element in high-resolution full-color display., In addition, the unique physical properties of organic thin films allow for flexible, conformable, or foldable displays which are unobtainable with conventional, inorganic semiconductor technologies  相似文献

Large-scale red, green, and blue (RGB) microlaser arrays capable of exhibiting full-color laser emissions are urgently desired for high-performance flat-panel laser displays. With excellent solution processability and optoelectronic properties, organic materials are promising candidates for full-color microlasers; however, the heterogeneous integration of full-color microlasers remains a challenge due to their poor solution stability to withstand multistage solution processing. Here, a robust in situ cross-linking strategy is proposed to enable orthogonal processing of organic microlasers to heterogeneously integrate large-scale full-color organic microlaser arrays. The organic microlasers with controlled physical dimensions and spatial locations are fabricated with an electron beam (e-beam) induced in situ polymerization reaction. Profiting from enhanced orthogonality of microlasers, large-scale pixelated RGB microlaser arrays are monolithically integrated through successive e-beam patterning processes. Laser emissions in the RGB microlaser pixels cover a color gamut 41% larger than the standard RGB space, with which flexible full-color organic laser display patterns with a resolution of 254 dpi on a centimeter scale is obtained. The scalable heterogeneous integration platform reported in this work will pave a new avenue for the efficient construction of large-scale high-performance organic integrated optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

The UV-excited phosphor plasma display is a promising technology for large area high-resolution color displays. The incorporation of multi-phosphor arrays in such displays requires the use of UV isolation barriers for effective color separation. The resolution limitations of current thick-film technology necessitate the development of new approaches to the fabrication of high density, high resolution barrier structures for flat display devices. A processing technique for the patterning of lead-bearing thick film dielectrics via selective chemical etching in fluoboric acid is presented, which makes possible the fabrication of dielectric barriers 0.025 mm wide and 0.025 mm high for full-color plasma displays with increased resolution.  相似文献

In-cell adaptive touch technology for use in an electrophoretic display (EPD) has been developed and implemented in 11.5 in. UXGA flexible electronic paper display. Here, two types of a-Si:H photo-sensor arrays fabricated on a stainless steel substrate at the process temperature of 250 °C have been used along with an overall capacitive sensor formed on top of the flexible panel. Thus, we can resolve the sensing issue of normal photo-sensor array as well as maintain the feature of low power consumption in the EPD. Moreover, new touch algorithm adapted depending upon the amount of light intensity has been applied to enhance touch sensitivity regardless of environmental light conditions.  相似文献

随着LED芯片发光效率和散热技术的快速提升,显示屏分辨率越来越高,目前填充因子系数已达到10%。当填充因子系数超过10%时,控制系统的8位灰度反Gamma变换对图像色彩的损失已非常明显。文中介绍了D801全彩同步控制系统14位灰度的反Gamma变换,大大降低了色彩的损失,系统采用"千兆网卡+接收卡"的控制方式,降低了成本和对硬件设备的要求,让笔记本电脑也能轻松控制大屏幕,开创了新一代同步控制系统的设计模式。  相似文献
