边孔光纤光栅的传感特性   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
报道了一种新型边孔光纤及边孔光纤光栅的研究结果。采用有限元法分析了边孔光纤内部的应力分布和双折射数值,并通过波长扫描技术对其双折射进行了测量,理论计算和实验测量结果表明双折射数值达到4×10-5。根据边孔光纤光栅两反射峰偏振态相互正交的特性,提出了一种基于偏振检测的波长检测方案对边孔光纤光栅的传感特性进行了测量。结果表明两峰中心波长间隔随温度变化的灵敏度仅有0.05 pm/℃,是普通单模光纤光栅温度灵敏度的1/184。提出了一种基于横向荷载压力增敏的新型边孔光纤光栅封装装置,使边孔光纤光栅双峰间距的压力灵敏度从5.6 pm/MPa增加到119.14 pm/MPa,增敏21倍,实现了温度不敏感的高灵敏度压力传感。  相似文献

提出了一种新型的光纤Bragg光栅(FBG)压力增敏的边孔封装技术,分析了它的工作机理和制作工艺,并采用聚合物材料进行了实际制作.结果表明,封装后FBG的压力灵敏度为5 251 pm/MPa,是封装前压力灵敏度的1750倍,较大程度减小了压力增敏效果对聚合物材料参数的依赖性,可满足高精度水下压力测量的应用要求.  相似文献

The demodulation system is based on the interference between two modes in a polarization maintaining fiber loop mirror. A novel method for fabricating dual-wavelength fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) by using one phase mask is developed. The method is based on a double-exposure technique. Our technique lends itself to writing gratings with controllable reflectivity and separation of two Bragg wavelengths. A grating with two equal transmission peaks of 20.25 dB is obtained by this method and the separation of the two Bragg wavelengths is about 0.8 nm. With the grating, we demonstrate a dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber ring laser whose interval of the two peaks is 0.8 nm. The laser's peak powers can get 3.1 mW above and have a good stability.  相似文献

A simple optical performance monitoring scheme based on a tunable polarization maintaining fiber Bragg grating is proposed. The proposed technique measures the in-band optical signal-to-noise-ratio through orthogonal polarization detection. The scheme is successfully demonstrated for NRZ-OOK signals at 10 Gb/s with an input dynamic range of around 20 dB. The results show that the performance of the scheme is not sensitive to the effects of chromatic dispersion.  相似文献

A simple technique for tunable microwave frequency generation based on a compact dual-polarization fiber grating laser incorporated with a piezoelectric transducer (PZT) is demonstrated. The PZT exerts a transversal force to the fiber grating laser which changes the fiber birefringence and, therefore, the wavelength separation between the two polarization lines. The beat tone frequency changes linearly in response to the driving voltage applied to the PZT.   相似文献

利用传输矩阵法,数值分析了光栅参数对折射率剖面非均匀的均匀光纤光栅及取样光纤光栅的透射谱、偏振关系损耗和偏振模色散的影响。计算结果表明,均匀光纤光栅的光栅条纹可见度及光栅周期对其偏振关系损耗和偏振模色散影响很大;改变取样光纤光栅的取样周期及光栅段长度,透射谐振峰的幅度、偏振关系损耗和偏振模色散的最大值均随取样光纤光栅长度的增加而递增。与靠近中心波长的谐振峰相比,折射率剖面非均匀导致的双折射对取样光纤光栅远离中心波长的谐振峰的影响较小。  相似文献

The authors propose and demonstrate a simple switchable dual-wavelength Ytterbium-doped fiber laser based on a few-mode fiber grating. The laser can be designed to operate in stable dual-wavelength or wavelength-switching modes, due to the polarization hole burning enhanced by the few-mode fiber grating. The lasing lines may be controlled only by a polarization controller. Stable operation is achieved at room temperature when the wavelength separation is 0.9 nm.  相似文献

Microwave signal generation by using the photonic beating from a phase-shift fiber Bragg grating (PS-FBG)-based dual-wavelength laser is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The dual-wavelength laser is formed by a linear cavity, in which a PS-FBG is used as a dual-wavelength selective component. Transversal loading on the PS-FBG enhances the birefringence of the optical fiber and consequently makes the transmission peak of the PS-FBG splitting into two sharp transmission peaks of orthogonal polarizations. The wavelength spacing between the two transmission peaks increases with the transversal loading on the PS-FBG, thus making the polarization beating frequency increase. This property is exploited in a transversal loading sensor.   相似文献

仿真分析了光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)横向局部受力时的光谱变化,对不同受力位置、受力大小、受力长度的FBG分别作了光谱分析.当FBG横向局部受力时,光谱会分裂,在反射光谱上出现一个透射缺口,且随压力的变化而呈线性、周期性变化.通过和光纤光栅法布里-珀罗(F-P)腔的比较,发现此缺口是光纤光栅法布里-珀罗腔效应形成的,这将对此类光纤光栅传感系统的光谱检测具有一定的指导意义.  相似文献

在保偏光纤两端同一偏振方向上注入两束泵浦光,产生受激布里渊散射并激发出相干声波场,该声波场会对介质折射率进行调制,即形成布里渊动态光栅。利用该动态光栅可实现温度与应变高精度的分布式测量以及多参量的同时传感,并具有读写分离、光谱可调等优点。文章从原理上详细介绍了布里渊散射与布里渊动态光栅的产生原理,并对比分析了布里渊动态光栅在光纤传感方面的优势。针对现阶段布里渊动态光栅在布里渊光相干域与布里渊光时域中的应用进行详细综述,指出了各自的不足与改进后取得的进展。最后,对布里渊动态光栅在分布式光纤传感技术中的发展进行了总结与展望。  相似文献

Embedded fiber Bragg gratings can be subjected to arbitrary states of strain including shear strain. Such perturbations can cause coupling between polarization modes. Coupled-mode theory in Bragg gratings so far neglected this effect and only considered forward-backward coupling. Polarization mode coupling within a Bragg grating leads to interdependencies between Bragg reflection peaks which have so far been unaddressed. We formulate a full strain tensor treatment of fiber Bragg gratings, considering the coupling of the polarization modes within the grating. We give an approximation for the coupling coefficients affecting the polarization mode coupling and numerically solve the coupled-mode equations for representative states of strain. We show in which way shear strain affects the optical response of a grating and demonstrate how the fiber's beat length influences this characteristic.  相似文献

利用光纤光栅反射偏振相关损耗对外力场信息的变化进行监测,提高了测量性能,并研究了光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)反射偏振相关损耗(RPDL)随外界条件的变化。运用耦合模理论得出外界条件变化量与反射偏振相关损耗间的关系式,并模拟了温度、应力、压力的改变对反射偏振相关损耗谱线的影响。仿真结果表明:光纤光栅反射光的偏振相关损耗对外界温度、应力的变化不敏感,但却明显地依赖外界压力的变化。  相似文献

报道了一种可用于生成毫米波源的单纵模双波长光纤激光器。该激光器采用保偏光纤布拉格光栅作为波长选择器件,其选出的两个波长是正交偏振态的,增强了偏振烧孔效应,有效减少了不同波长之间的竞争,得到稳定的双波长输出.利用复合腔的游标效应抑制多模振荡,实现激光器单纵模运转。双波长间隔约0.318 nm(39.8 GHz),边模抑制比(SMSR)大于50 dB.  相似文献

介绍并制作了一种光纤光栅高温高压传感器,它由三种金属管组成,中央的弹性金属管将液体的压力转换为管子的机械伸长,周围金属管的长度只随温度变化。光纤光栅的两端分别固定在中央管及周围管的末端,随着压力管内液体压力的增加,光栅的中心波长随之增加,实现了对液压的传感。对该传感器的温度补偿进行了分析,设计了具有相同温度系数的压力传感光栅与温度传感光栅。并对传感器进行了高压实验和高温、高湿存储实验。结果表明,这种压力传感器在0~50 MPa之间灵敏度为31.7 pm/MPa。经过200℃高温存储16 h,及100℃沸水浸泡6 h,波长没有观察到明显衰退现象。  相似文献

提出并研究了一种基于乙醇灌注边孔光纤(SHF)的Sagnac干涉型温度传感器。边孔光纤是一种高双折射光纤,其包层中纤芯两侧具有两个空气孔。将乙醇填充进边孔光纤的空气孔中,利用乙醇的折射率随温度的变化,改变边孔光纤的双折射系数,使Sagnac干涉仪的输出谱发生波长漂移,从而实现了温度传感。实验获得该传感器在20℃~80℃的温度变化范围内灵敏度为86.8pm/℃,为普通光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)传感器的8倍。  相似文献

提出了一种基于保偏光纤(PMF)中布拉格光栅的波长间隔可调的可开关双波长掺铒光纤激光器(EDFL)。由于和光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)两个反射峰对应的不同波长的两纵模在偏振态上是止交的.从而在均匀展宽的掺铒光纤中增强了偏振烧孔(PHB)效应。这种偏振烧孔效应大大减小了不同模式之间的竞争,因此可在室温下得到稳定的双波长振荡。另一方面。通过调整偏振控制器的状态.即改变腔内的双折射状念,光纤光栅的两个反射峰强度会发生变化。基于以上原理。便形成了对激光振荡模式的选择.即通过调整偏振控制器的状态可使激光器工作在稳定的双波长状态或在两波长之间转换。通过改变加在光纤光栅上侧向应力的大小和方向.可有效控制双波长激射的波长间隔.实验中得到了0.2~1.1nm的可调间隔。  相似文献
