In this paper, a novel approach to adjust both the control points of B-spline membership functions (BMFs) and the weightings of fuzzy-neural networks using a reduced-form genetic algorithm (RGA) is proposed. Fuzzy-neural networks are traditionally trained by using gradient-based methods, which may fall into local minimum during the learning process. To overcome the problems encountered by the conventional learning methods, genetic algorithms are adopted because of their capabilities of directed random search for global optimization. It is well known, however, that the searching speed of the conventional genetic algorithms is not desirable. Such conventional genetic algorithms are inherently incapable of dealing with a vast number (over 100) of adjustable parameters in the fuzzy-neural networks. In this paper, the RGA is proposed by using a sequential-search-based crossover point (SSCP) method in which a better crossover point is determined and only the gene at the specified crossover point is crossed, serving as a single gene crossover operation. Chromosomes consisting of both, the control points of BMFs and the weightings of the fuzzy-neural network are coded as an adjustable vector with real number components that are searched by the RGA. Simulation results have shown that faster convergence of the evolution process searching for an optimal fuzzy-neural network can be achieved. Examples of nonlinear functions approximated by using the fuzzy-neural network via the RGA are demonstrated to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

The adaptive fuzzy-neural controllers tuned online for a class of unknown nonlinear dynamical systems are proposed. To approximate the unknown nonlinear dynamical systems, the fuzzy-neural approximator is established. Furthermore, the control law and update law to tune on-line both the B-spline membership functions and the weighting factors of the adaptive fuzzy-neural controller are derived. Therefore, the control performance of the controller is improved. Several examples are simulated in order to confirm the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed methods in this paper.  相似文献

This study presents an observer-based adaptive fuzzy-neural network controller based on novel adaptive particle swarm optimization simulated annealing (NAPSOSA) for a class of uncertain nonlinear time-delay systems. Firstly, NAPSOSA is used to adjust the weighting function. Then, adaptive laws are adopted to approximate unknown nonlinear functions with unknown uncertainties, respectively. By examining the controller design, the observer-based control law and the weighting update law of the fuzzy-neural-network (FNN) controller are proposed for a class of nonlinear systems. In addition, based on strictly-positive-real (SPR) Lyapunov theory, the stabilization conditions for the closed-loop system are propounded. Furthermore, for obtaining a better performance, an algorithm consists of the adaptive FNN with NAPSOSA is presented to adjust the membership function of the controller. Finally, one simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, an observer-based adaptive fuzzy-neural controller for a class of unknown nonlinear dynamical systems is developed. The observer-based output feedback control law and update law to tune on-line the weighting factors of the adaptive fuzzy-neural controller are derived. The total states of the nonlinear system are not assumed to be available for measurement. Also, the unknown nonlinearities of the nonlinear dynamical systems are not restricted to the system output only. The overall adaptive scheme guarantees that all signals involved are bounded. Simulation results demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method in order to achieve desired performance.  相似文献

In this article, a novel on-line genetic algorithm-based fuzzy-neural sliding mode controller trained by an improved adaptive bound reduced-form genetic algorithm is developed to guarantee robust stability and good tracking performance for a robot manipulator with uncertainties and external disturbances. A general sliding manifold, which can be non-linear or time varying, is used to construct a sliding surface and reduce control law chattering. In this article, the sliding surface is used to derive a genetic algorithm-based fuzzy-neural sliding mode controller. To identify structured system dynamics, a B-spline membership function fuzzy-neural network, which is trained by the improved genetic algorithm, is used to approximate the regressor of the robot manipulator. The sliding mode control with a general sliding surface plays the role of a compensator when the fuzzy-neural network does not approximate the dynamics regressor of the robot manipulator well in the transient period. The adjustable parameters of the fuzzy-neural network are tuned by the improved genetic algorithm, which, with the use of the sequential-search-based crossover point method and the single gene crossover, converges quickly to near-optimal parameter values. Simulation results show that the proposed genetic algorithm-based fuzzy-neural sliding mode controller is effective and yields superior tracking performance for robot manipulators.  相似文献

In this paper, an observer-based direct adaptive fuzzy-neural control scheme is presented for nonaffine nonlinear systems in the presence of unknown structure of nonlinearities. A direct adaptive fuzzy-neural controller and a class of generalized nonlinear systems, which are called nonaffine nonlinear systems, are instead of the indirect one and affine nonlinear systems given by Leu et al. By using implicit function theorem and Taylor series expansion, the observer-based control law and the weight update law of the fuzzy-neural controller are derived for the nonaffine nonlinear systems. Based on strictly-positive-real (SPR) Lyapunov theory, the stability of the closed-loop system can be verified. Moreover, the overall adaptive scheme guarantees that all signals involved are bounded and the output of the closed-loop system will asymptotically track the desired output trajectory. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation results are illustrated in this paper.  相似文献

A novel adaptive fuzzy-neural sliding-mode controller with H(infinity) tracking performance for uncertain nonlinear systems is proposed to attenuate the effects caused by unmodeled dynamics, disturbances and approximate errors. Because of the advantages of fuzzy-neural systems, which can uniformly approximate nonlinear continuous functions to arbitrary accuracy, adaptive fuzzy-neural control theory is then employed to derive the update laws for approximating the uncertain nonlinear functions of the dynamical system. Furthermore, the H(infinity) tracking design technique and the sliding-mode control method are incorporated into the adaptive fuzzy-neural control scheme so that the derived controller is robust with respect to unmodeled dynamics, disturbances and approximate errors. Compared with conventional methods, the proposed approach not only assures closed-loop stability, but also guarantees an H(infinity) tracking performance for the overall system based on a much relaxed assumption without prior knowledge on the upper bound of the lumped uncertainties. Simulation results have demonstrated that the effect of the lumped uncertainties on tracking error is efficiently attenuated, and chattering of the control input is significantly reduced by using the proposed approach.  相似文献

In this paper, an observer-based direct adaptive fuzzy-neural network (FNN) controller with supervisory mode for a certain class of high order unknown nonlinear dynamical system is presented. The direct adaptive control (DAC) has the advantage of less design effort by not using FNN to model the plant. By using an observer-based output feedback control law and adaptive law, the free parameters of the adaptive FNN controller can be tuned on-line based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach. A supervisory controller is appended into the FNN controller to force the state to be within the constraint set. Therefore, if the FNN controller cannot maintain the stability, the supervisory controller starts working to guarantee stability. On the other hand, if the FNN controller works well, the supervisory controller will be de-activated. The overall adaptive scheme guarantees the global stability of the resulting closed-loop system in the sense that all signals involved are uniformly bounded. Simulation results also show that our initial control effort is much less than those in previous works, while preserving the tracking performance  相似文献

In this paper, a new fuzzy-neural adaptive control approach is developed for a class of single-input and single-output (SISO) nonlinear systems with unmeasured states. Using fuzzy neural networks to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions, a fuzzy- neural adaptive observer is introduced for state estimation as well as system identification. Under the framework of the backstepping design, fuzzy-neural adaptive output feedback control is constructed recursively. It is proven that the proposed fuzzy adaptive control approach guarantees the global boundedness property for all the signals, driving the tracking error to a small neighbordhood of the origin. Simulation example is included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

A new hybrid direct/indirect adaptive fuzzy neural network (FNN) controller with a state observer and supervisory controller for a class of uncertain nonlinear dynamic systems is developed in this paper. The hybrid adaptive FNN controller, the free parameters of which can be tuned on-line by an observer-based output feedback control law and adaptive law, is a combination of direct and indirect adaptive FNN controllers. A weighting factor, which can be adjusted by the tradeoff between plant knowledge and control knowledge, is adopted to sum together the control efforts from indirect adaptive FNN controller and direct adaptive FNN controller. Furthermore, a supervisory controller is appended into the FNN controller to force the state to be within the constraint set. Therefore, if the FNN controller cannot maintain the stability, the supervisory controller starts working to guarantee stability. On the other hand, if the FNN controller works well, the supervisory controller will be deactivated. The overall adaptive scheme guarantees the global stability of the resulting closed-loop system in the sense that all signals involved are uniformly bounded. Two nonlinear systems, namely, inverted pendulum system and Chua's (1989) chaotic circuit, are fully illustrated to track sinusoidal signals. The resulting hybrid direct/indirect FNN control systems show better performances, i.e., tracking error and control effort can be made smaller and it is more flexible during the design process.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel design of an on-line Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy-neural controller for a class of general multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems with unknown nonlinear functions and external disturbances. Instead of modeling the unknown systems directly, the T-S fuzzy-neural model approximates a virtual linearized system (VLS) of a real system with modeling errors and external disturbances. Compared with previous approaches, the main contribution of this paper is an investigation of more general MIMO unknown systems using on-line adaptive T-S fuzzy-neural controllers. In this paper, we also use projection update laws, which generalize the projection algorithm, to tune the adjustable parameters. This prevents parameter drift and ensures that the parameter matrix is bounded away from singularity. We prove that the closed-loop system controlled by the proposed controller is robust stable and the effect of all the modeling errors and external disturbances on the tracking error can be attenuated. Finally, two examples covering four cases are simulated in order to confirm the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed approach in this paper.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel direct adaptive fuzzy control approach is presented for uncertain nonlinear systems in the presence of input saturation. Fuzzy logic systems are directly used to tackle unknown nonlinear functions, and the adaptive fuzzy tracking controller is constructed by using the backstepping recursive design techniques. To overcome the problem of input saturation, a new auxiliary design system and Nussbaum gain functions are incorporated into the control scheme, respectively. It is proved that the proposed control approach can guarantee that all the signals of the resulting closed-loop system are semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded (SGUUB), and the tracking error converges to a small neighborhood of the origin. A simulation example is included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Two key advantages of the scheme are that (i) the direct adaptive fuzzy control method is proposed for uncertain nonlinear system with input saturation by using Nussbaum function technique and (ii) The number of the online adaptive learning parameters is reduced.  相似文献

Combining the advanced techniques of optimal dynamic inversion and model-following neuro-adaptive control design, an innovative technique is presented to design an automatic drug administration strategy for effective treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). A recently developed nonlinear mathematical model for cell dynamics is used to design the controller (medication dosage). First, a nominal controller is designed based on the principle of optimal dynamic inversion. This controller can treat the nominal model patients (patients who can be described by the mathematical model used here with the nominal parameter values) effectively. However, since the system parameters for a realistic model patient can be different from that of the nominal model patients, simulation studies for such patients indicate that the nominal controller is either inefficient or, worse, ineffective; i.e. the trajectory of the number of cancer cells either shows non-satisfactory transient behavior or it grows in an unstable manner. Hence, to make the drug dosage history more realistic and patient-specific, a model-following neuro-adaptive controller is augmented to the nominal controller. In this adaptive approach, a neural network trained online facilitates a new adaptive controller. The training process of the neural network is based on Lyapunov stability theory, which guarantees both stability of the cancer cell dynamics as well as boundedness of the network weights. From simulation studies, this adaptive control design approach is found to be very effective to treat the CML disease for realistic patients. Sufficient generality is retained in the mathematical developments so that the technique can be applied to other similar nonlinear control design problems as well.  相似文献

By taking advantage of fuzzy systems and neural networks, a fuzzy-neural network with a general parameter (GP) learning algorithm and heuristic model structure determination is proposed in this paper. Our network model is based on the Gaussian radial basis function network (RBFN). We use the flexible GP approach both for initializing the off-line training algorithm and fine-tuning the nonlinear model efficiently in online operation. A modification of the robust unbiasedness criterion using distorter (UCD) is utilized for selecting the structural parameters of this adaptive model. The UCD approach provides the desired modeling accuracy and avoids the risk of over-fitting. In order to illustrate the operation of the proposed modeling scheme, it is experimentally applied to a fault detection application.  相似文献

In this paper, a stable fuzzy neural tracking control of a class of unknown nonlinear systems based on the fuzzy hierarchy approach is proposed. The adaptive fuzzy neural controller is constructed from the fuzzy neural network with a set of fuzzy rules. The corresponding network parameters are adjusted online according to the control law and update law for the purpose of controlling the plant to track a given trajectory. A stability analysis of the unknown nonlinear system is discussed based on the Lyapunov principle. In order to improve the convergence of the nonlinear dynamical systems, a fuzzy hierarchy error approach (FHEA) algorithm is incorporated into the adaptive update and control scheme. The simulation results for an unstable nonlinear plant demonstrate the control effectiveness of the proposed adaptive fuzzy neural controller and are consistent with the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, an adaptive neural controller for a class of time-delay nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinearities is proposed. Based on a wavelet neural network (WNN) online approximation model, a state feedback adaptive controller is obtained by constructing a novel integral-type Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, which also efficiently overcomes the controller singularity problem. It is shown that the proposed method guarantees the semiglobal boundedness of all signals in the adaptive closed-loop systems. An example is provided to illustrate the application of the approach.  相似文献

In this paper, a direct adaptive iterative learning control (DAILC) based on a new output-recurrent fuzzy neural network (ORFNN) is presented for a class of repeatable nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinearities and variable initial resetting errors. In order to overcome the design difficulty due to initial state errors at the beginning of each iteration, a concept of time-varying boundary layer is employed to construct an error equation. The learning controller is then designed by using the given ORFNN to approximate an optimal equivalent controller. Some auxiliary control components are applied to eliminate approximation error and ensure learning convergence. Since the optimal ORFNN parameters for a best approximation are generally unavailable, an adaptive algorithm with projection mechanism is derived to update all the consequent, premise, and recurrent parameters during iteration processes. Only one network is required to design the ORFNN-based DAILC and the plant nonlinearities, especially the nonlinear input gain, are allowed to be totally unknown. Based on a Lyapunov-like analysis, we show that all adjustable parameters and internal signals remain bounded for all iterations. Furthermore, the norm of state tracking error vector will asymptotically converge to a tunable residual set as iteration goes to infinity. Finally, iterative learning control of two nonlinear systems, inverted pendulum system and Chua's chaotic circuit, are performed to verify the tracking performance of the proposed learning scheme.  相似文献
