Based on the nodal admittance matrix (NAM) representation of the voltage mirror (VM)–norator pair and considering the case of an inverting second generation current conveyor (ICCII?), it is found that the second generation current conveyor (CCII?) is a special case from the generalised ICCII?. The definition of the current conveyor is reviewed and a multiple-output second generation current conveyor (CCII) is shown to combine the different generations of current conveyors presently existing. Next, noise sources are introduced, and a general noise model for the current conveyor is described. This model is used for the analysis of selected examples of current conveyor based operational amplifier configurations and the noise performance of these configurations is compared. Finally, the noise model is developed for a CMOS current conveyor implementation, and approaches to an optimization of the noise performance are discussed. It is concluded that a class AB implementation can yield a lower noise output for the same dynamic range than a class A implementation. For both the class A implementation and the class AB implementation it is essential to design low noise current mirrors and current sources, and with the class AB design, the current mirror and current source noise can be reduced by using small values of bias current without compromising the maximum available output current.  相似文献

A current feedback technique is proposed to realise the transposition of grounded impedance to a floating impedance or transconductance. This technique, that can be viewed as an impedance projection, also allows one to implement a new current conveyor topology and to extend applications based on transconductance amplification. A theoretical approach of this new technique using a grounded impedance, two classical transconductance amplifiers and one second generation current conveyor only is presented.  相似文献

设计了一种电压和电流跟随能力强,低压驱动性能好的第二代电流传输器.采用SMIC 0.18 μm工艺,利用Spectre对整个电路进行了仿真.电源电压为1.8 V,输入级采用轨对轨的结构,有效地提高了信号的摆幅;输出级采用AB类推免输出方式,在降低电路功耗的同时,也提高了电流的驱动能力.通过采用MOS管与电容串联的补偿方式,有效地改善了CCII+的频率响应特性.仿真结果表明,该CCII+的-3 dB带宽达709 MHz,X端输入电阻低于100 Ω,电流驱动能力为0.05 mA-2.5 mA,电路功耗为140 μW.  相似文献

The inverting second generation current conveyor ICCII includes two types. This paper concentrates on the two new types of the inverting current conveyor namely ICCII+ and ICCII-. Although it may seem that there is only minor difference between the two types, there is a significant difference as will be evident from some applications considered in this paper. A novel first order all-pass section using a single second generation current conveyor is given. In addition the circuit uses two resistors and only one capacitor. The circuit is also realized with a translinear conveyor. The latter circuit uses only one external resistor and a capacitor. A new current conveyor block, called a balanced-output third generation inverting current conveyor (ICCIII+−), is introduced in this paper. A novel CMOS realization for this block is proposed. To show the strength of this block, many applications are given, such as integrators, filters, and an oscillator. 介绍了一种基于低压、宽带、轨对轨、自偏置CMOS第二代电流传输器(CCII)的电流模式积分器电路,能广泛应用于无线通讯、射频等高频模拟电路中。通过采用0.18μm工艺参数,进行Hspice仿真,结果表明:电流传输器电压跟随的线性范围为-1.04~1.15 V,电流跟随的线性范围为-9.02~6.66 mA,iX/iZ的-3 dB带宽为1.6 GHz。输出信号的幅度以20dB/decade的斜率下降,相位在低于3 MHz的频段上保持在90°。  相似文献

The input stage consists of a regulated current cell coupled to a source follower, and the output stage is a cascode current mirror. In this paper, a novel low-voltage ultra-low-power class AB current conveyor of the second generation based on folded cascode operational transconductance amplifier OTA with floating-gate differential pairs is presented. The main features of the proposed conveyor are design simplicity and rail-to-rail input voltage range at a low supply voltage of ±0.5 V. The proposed conveyor has a reduced power consumption of only 10 μW. Due to these features, the proposed conveyor could be successfully employed in a wide range of low-voltage low-power analog signal processing applications. PSpice simulation results using the 0.18 μm CMOS technology from TSMC are included to prove the results. As an example of application, a current-mode quadrature oscillator is designed and its functionality is proved by simulation.  相似文献

提出了一种基于运算跨导放大器和第二代电流传输器结合的电流模式多功能滤波器方法。该方法是将高阶通用电流模式滤波器的传递函数分解为n个无损积分器级联的形式,适当选定输入电流信号可同时实现低通、高通、带通、带阻等滤波功能,而电路内部结构及器件数目无需改变。与同类电路相比,其设计简便、结构简单、无源元件全部接地,且易于集成。同时文中还给出了滤波器的设计实例,Pspice仿真结果与理论分析相吻合,也验证了该方法的可行性。该滤波器可用于通信、电子测量与仪器仪表的信号处理中。  相似文献
