分析了各向异性衬底上的高温超导微带天线特性.选取两种典型的高温超导各向异性介质--GaNdAlO3和SrLaAlO4作为高温超导微带天线的衬底,采用各向异性媒质中的谱域矩量法,对微带天线的输入阻抗和辐射效率进行了计算.计算和分析结果表明,高温超导衬底的各向异性特性会影响高温超导微带天线的性能,而且这种影响因衬底而异,同时,衬底特性随温度的变化也将影响天线的性能.  相似文献

Radiation and scattering characteristics of microstrip antennas and arrays printed on ferrite substrates with a normal magnetic bias field are described. The extra degree of freedom offered by the biased ferrite can be used to obtain a number of novel characteristics, including switchable and tunable circularly polarized radiation from a microstrip antenna having a single feed point, dynamic wide-angle impedance matching for phased arrays of microstrip antennas, and a switchable radar cross section reduction technique for microstrip antennas. Results are obtained from full-wave moment method solutions for single microstrip antennas and infinite arrays of microstrip antennas. A cavity model solution for a circular patch antenna on a biased ferrite substrate is also presented, to aid in understanding the operation of these antennas  相似文献

Results are presented for isolated microstrip antennas and infinite arrays of microstrip antennas printed on chiral substrates, computed from full-wave spectral domain moment method solutions. Data for resonant length, impedance, directivity, efficiency, cross-polarization level, and scan performance are compared to results obtained for a dielectric substrate of the same thickness and permittivity. It is concluded that, from the point of view of antenna characteristics, there does not seem to be any advantage to using chiral antenna substrates, while there are disadvantages in terms of increased cross-polarization levels and losses due to surface wave excitation  相似文献

Experimental as well as computational results are presented for 2.4 GHz microstrip antennas which are miniaturized (total length, 6 mm) by both a new, stepped impedance patch shape and a relatively high substrate permittivity. The antennas investigated were fabricated from YBa2Cu3O7-δ thin films epitaxially grown on single-crystalline LaAlO3 substrates by pulsed excimer laser ablation or by high-pressure oxygen DC sputtering and, for comparison, from copper on the same substrate material. It is shown that the radiation efficiency of this antenna structure is only about 1% to 6% for copper at 77 K but is increased to values between 35% and 65% for HTS films. From experimental investigations of the power dependence of the antenna gain at 77 K, nonlinearities, especially a sharp drop at a current density of about 2×106 A/cm2, were observed  相似文献

The effect of artificial magnetodielectric substrates on the impedance bandwidth properties of microstrip antennas is discussed. We review the results found in the literature and then focus on practically realizable artificial magnetic media operating in the microwave regime. Next, a realistic dispersive behavior of a practically realizable artificial substrate is embedded into the model. It is shown that frequency dispersion of the substrate plays a very important role in the impedance bandwidth characteristics of the loaded antenna. The impedance bandwidths of reduced size patch antennas loaded with dispersive magnetodielectric substrates and high-permittivity substrates are compared. It is shown that unlike substrates with dispersion-free permeability, practically realizable artificial substrates with dispersive magnetic permeability are not advantageous in antenna miniaturization. 采用时域有限差分法(FDTD)方法以及新的含有内阻的磁流环激励同轴馈电模型研究了微带天线的辐射及散射特性,分析了集总负载加载和贴片表面开槽对微带天线雷达散射截面(RCS)的影响,研究了微带天线RCS减缩前后的回波损耗、增益及方向性的变化.研究表明,集总负载加载能降低谐振频率点的RCS,开槽方法能在天线辐射性能改变不大的情况下对微带天线的RCS具有较好的减缩作用.  相似文献

A novel feeding scheme for microstrip patch antennas is presented, which consists of a coaxial probe and shorting pin separated by a narrow slot centrally cut at the radiating patch. The impedance and radiation characteristics of a conventional probe-fed microstrip patch antenna and the proposed microstrip patch antenna are experimentally examined and compared. The effects of the slot length on the antenna operation are also discussed.  相似文献

A hybrid full wave method for the analysis of probe-fed infinite phased arrays of single and stacked microstrip patches, backed by metallic cavities, is applied to investigate the combined utilization of the capacitive probe-feeding technique and the cavity enclosure of microstrip patches. The goal is to obtain broad-band microstrip antennas on thick substrates without the limitations due to the generation of surface waves of the conventional microstrip antennas on infinite substrates. 主要研究了高温超导(HTS)薄膜非线性特性对微带天线性能的影响。首先介绍了高温超导薄膜的非线性特性现象,以及产生该现象的可能的机理,在此基础上以矩形微带贴片天线为例,采用谱域矩量法对微带天线的辐射效率和输入阻抗进行了计算。结果表明输入功率增大到一定值时,将使天线的辐射效率下降,而且输入功率对输入阻抗也有一定的影响。  相似文献

A new feeding configuration for microstrip antennas is described, where separate substrates are used for the radiating patch element and the microstrip feedline. The substrates are joined perpendicular to each other, and the patch is excited through an aperture in the antenna substrate ground plane by proximity coupling to the microstrip feedline, This design thus has a number of advantages over other feeding configurations, particularly when used in an integrated phased array application. These features, as well as the measured results from two experimental models, are described.  相似文献

An asymmetric feeding X-band active leaky-wave antennas is developed, to excite the first high order mode of the microstrip leaky wave antenna. One is the asymmetric feeding leaky-wave antenna which integrated with a HEMT oscillator, and the other is the frequency-tuned leaky-wave antenna which integrated with a varactortuned HEMT VCO. The microstrip leaky-wave antenna is operated in the first higher mode. To excite the first higher mode, the microstrip leaky-wave antenna is fed asymmetrically. The dominant mode excitation has been successfully suppressed by adding a sequence of covered wire in the center of the microstrip leaky wave antenna. The design of these active leaky-wave antennas is discussed and the beam scanning phenomena of the antenna is presented. The HEMT oscillator frequency is controlled by tuning the varactor DC bias and the beam scanning is demonstrated. The measured scanning angle agree with prediction, it is close to 30° as the VCO frequency tuned from 8.06 GHz to 9GHz.  相似文献

A wide operating bandwidth for a single-layer coaxially fed rectangular microstrip patch antenna can be obtained by cutting a U-shaped slot on the patch. This antenna structure has recently been found experimentally to provide impedance bandwidths of 10%-40%, even with nonair substrates. However, design rules for this antenna have not yet been presented. This paper develops principle design procedures through examination of the structure's multiple resonant frequencies as well as the radiation and impedance properties of different antenna geometries. The approximate design rules are derived by analysis of former experiments, method of moments (MoM) simulations, and measurement results. Simulations and measurements of several antennas designed using these new rules are presented and directions for further study are discussed.  相似文献

Two variations of a novel feeding technique for a wideband circularly polarized aperture-coupled microstrip antenna are described. Prototype designs for wideband linearly polarized elements are first presented, and then used for circularly polarized designs. Techniques used for design of the feed network are detailed, for both series feed and parallel feed versions. Experimental results are shown for each antenna, and results for the two designs are compared. The impedance and axial ratio bandwidths for these antennas are among the best yet achieved for microstrip antenna elements. Several design variations are also discussed  相似文献

A microstrip antenna with large bandwidth is developed using a parasitic technique. Compared to the available wideband antennas, the proposed antenna structure is very compact and gives a less distorted radiation pattern with frequency. An impedance bandwidth eight times that of a conventional patch antenna of the same size is achieved. The concept of coupled microstrip line model is extended for theoretical interpretation of the impedance loci. A dielectric superstrate layer above a microstrip patch antenna has remarkable effects on its gain and resonant characteristics. This paper experimentally investigates the effect of a superstrate layer for high gain on microstrip patch antennas. We measured the gain of antennas with and without a superstrate and found that the gain of a single patch with a superstrate was enhanced by about 4 dBi over the one without a superstrate at 12 GHz. The impedance bandwidths of a single patch with and without a superstrate for VSWR < 2 were above 11%. The designed 2×8 array antenna using a superstrate had a high gain of over 22.5 dB and a wide impedance bandwidth of over 17%.  相似文献

New broadband impedance matching circuits used to increase the impedance bandwidth of the microstrip antennas for transmit applications are proposed and analyzed. A microstrip patch operating at 10.5 GHz having 12.2% bandwidth has been utilized as a reference antenna. The impedance bandwidth of the antenna has been enhanced by using negative capacitance and inductance compensation networks from 12.22% to 16.96% and 24.50%, respectively. An improvement to a recently reported theory for the analysis of the pattern and impedance loci of microstrip antennas is developed. It yields a theory which is simple and inexpensive to apply. The fields in the interior of the antennas are characterized in terms of a discrete set of modes. The poles corresponding to these modes are complex and depend on the losses in the antenna. The representation of the fields in terms of these modes is rigorous only for a bona fide cavity with no copper loss. The proper shift in the complex poles due to the addition of copper and radiative losses is approximated by lumping the latter two together with the dielectric loss to form an effective loss tangent. By so doing, it is found that the resulting expressions for impedance of the microstrip antenna are in good agreement with measured results for all modes and feed locations. The theory is applied to the evaluation of impedance variation with feed location, to multiport analysis, and to the design of circularly polarized microstrip antennas.  相似文献

A novel contact-less, differential feeding technique suitable for integrated active antenna design is demonstrated. This technique utilizes an odd mode signal to generate fringing fields on either side of a microstrip gap under the antenna. This allows electromagnetic energy to be efficiently coupled from the transmission lines to the radiating antenna. In a balanced integrated antenna amplifier configuration, the proposed non-contact feeding method removes the need for any balun or power combining network. Hence in theory, a compact RF front-end design with lower losses can be realized. This feeding method has been successfully applied to the design of simple passive microstrip patch antennas and active integrated antennas (AIA). Simulated and measured results are also included to validate the proposed feeding concept and antenna designs. The performance of the proposed differential feeding technique on a simple microstrip patch antenna has been systematically studied. The study suggests that the proposed proximity method is broadband in nature, allowing antennas operating at different resonant frequencies to be swapped without the need to change the feed dimensions and without degrading the matching performance  相似文献

A theoretical analysis of circular microstrip antenna on a ferrimagnetic substrate predicts significantly reduced resonant radii and improved bandwidth as compared to those of similar antennas built on purely dielectric substrates, when operated in the lower range of UHF. The impedance characteristics, return loss, and radiation pattern studied experimentally for antennas built upon a typical ferrite substrate are found to be in good agreement qualitatively with the theoretical results.  相似文献
