The nature of the interface, the orientation relationship of -SiC whisker (-SiCw)-Al combination, and the misfit dislocation structures at the -SiCw-Al interfaces in a -SiCw-Al composite have been observed by a high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). It was shown that quite a good bonding between the whisker and the aluminium was achieved due largely to the lattice match between SiC and aluminium at the interfaces. The orientation relationship between the whisker and the aluminium was {002}SiC{111}Al; 110SiC110Al. The interface was clean, faceted and semicoherent. The misfit dislocation cores were located in the whisker side away from the -SiCw-Al interfaces.  相似文献

Conclusions It is possible by means of the above resonator, according to our analysis and in the absence of air gaps between the sample and the line, to evaluate the real components and of permeability and permittivity respectively in the range of 2 to 100 with an error between ±3% and ±10% in the temperature range from room temperature to +400°C, and the imaginary components and (for tan and tan in the range of 0.001 to 2) with an error of 7 to 20% over the same temperature range.  相似文献

We propose a 1-t1-2 pulse-NMR experiment to detect the spin-diffusion anisotropy, =D-D, in degenerate spin-polarized3He-4He mixtures, where D and dare the transverse and longitudinal spin diffusion coefficients. In such an experiment the nonlinearity of the dynamics produces multiple spin echoes (MSE). At the 3He concentration x3 4% the spinrotation parameter vanishes (M 0), so that the nonlinearity of the equations of motion is entirely due to the anisotropy. In this situation, detection of MSE amounts to observation of D. For slight anisotropy, i.e. D/D 0.25, we use a perturbation scheme similiar to that developed by Einzel et al. (in that case, for small M and small demagnetizing field) to calculate the second and third echo heights. For larger anisotropy we numerically calculate the echo heights. We find that for D/D = 0.5 the heights are 2 % of the first echo, and should be detectable. The (1, 2) tip-angle dependence of the D echoes is different from that of the M and demagnetization echoes, and furthermore, they occur at right angles to these echoes (in spin space). Thus, even when small spin-rotation and demagnetization effects are present, the 1-t1-2 experiment provides a sensitive means of detecting the anisotropy.  相似文献

The spin hydrodynamic equations for superfluid3He-B have been obtained for the case of external, time-dependent fields. On the basis of a microscopic approach, expressions are found for additional terms in equations containing these fields. Considering the linear response of the system to the switching on of external fields, formulas are found for suitable Green's functions (magnetization-magnetization, rotation-rotation, magnetization-rotation, rotation-magnetization). The rotation-rotation Green's function has the 1/q 2 singularity characteristic of superfluid systems. Connections between Green's functions lead to relations among kinetic coefficients v, 1, and 2. It is also shown that there is a conserved quantityQ (B) = div v s (B) that describes sources or magnetic type charges (monopoles) of the superfluid velocity v s (B) . Comparison with the phenomenological approach suggests thatQ (B) is proportional to a pseudoscalar giving the projection of the spin density onto the vector describing the axis of rotation.  相似文献

Thermal exposures consisting of 1–16000 h at 540, 650, 760, and 870°C were used to study the susceptibility of selected nickel-base alloys to precipitation of -phase and its effect on mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. Analytical electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction were used to characterize the -phase. A -phase of the type Mo6Ni7 in nickel-base alloys was found to be stabilized by critical concentrations of iron in an excess of about 3 wt%. Generally, the -phase had a characteristic defect structure consisting of twins and stacking faults, and it exhibited a preferential tendency for precipitation at existing molybdenum-rich carbide particles within the alloy matrix and at grain boundaries. Precipitation of -phase was found to produce a moderate loss of room-temperature tensile ductility; however, it resulted in a considerable degradation of impact toughness and corrosion resistance. In contrast, it had no significant effect on elevated temperature tensile properties. A correlation was found to exist between the Ni/Fe + Co ratio as well as the Mo + W content of the alloy and susceptibility to precipitation of -phase.  相似文献

Possible improvements in the mechanical properties of surface-coated aluminium have been investigated. Aluminium plasma sprayed with iron powder was processed using two different laser-beam settings (integrated and defocused) with varying processing parameters. Mechanical and microstructural characterizations of the specimens revealed great differences between the two laser-beam settings. The defocused laser beam showed a clear improvement of hardness which was not observed for the integrated laser beam. The integrated laser beam gave deep melt pools with large Al3Fe particles (10–200 m) in the top layer, and smaller -Al (Fe, Mn)Si particles (0.1–0.3 m) throughout the melt pool. Small, partly coherent Al3Fe precipitates (0.25 m long) were found between the large Al3Fe particles. Processing with a defocused laser beam produced a shallower melt pool with a homogeneous distribution of the iron in the form of Al3Fe particles.  相似文献

Ductile L20-type wires and+L12-type duplex wires with high strengths and large elongation in the Ni-Al-Fe and Ni-Al-Co ternary systems have been manufactured directly from the liquid state by an in-rotating-water spinning method. The wire diameter was in the range 80 to 180m and the average grain size was 2 to 4m for the wires and 0.2 to 1.0m for the+ wires. y, f and p of the wires were found to be about 360 to 760 MPa, 560 to 960 MPa, and 0.2 to 5.5%, respectively, for the Ni-Al-Fe system, those of the+ wires were about 395 to 660 MPa, 670 to 1285 MPa, and 3.5 to 17%, respectively, for the Ni-Al-Fe system, and about 260 to 365 MPa, 600 to 870 MPa, and 4.0 to 7.0%, respectively, for the Ni-Al-Co system. Cold-drawing caused a significant increase in y and f and the values attained were about 1850 and 2500 MPa, respectively, for Ni-20Al-30Fe and Ni-25Al-30Co wires drawn to about 90% reduction in area. The high strengths, large elongation and good cold-workability of the melt-quenched and+ compound wires have been inferred to be due to the structural change into a low-degree ordered state containing a high density of phase boundaries, suppression of grain-boundary segregation and refinement of grain size.  相似文献

-SiC was pressureless sintered to 98% theoretical density using Al2O3 as a liquid-phase forming additive. The reaction between SiC and Al2O3 which results in gaseous products, was inhibited by using a pressurized CO gas or, alternatively, a sealed crucible. The densification behaviour and microstructural development of this material are described. The microstructure consists of fine elongated -SiC grains (maximum length 10 m and width 2–3 m) in a matrix of fine equi-axed grains (2–3 m) and plate-like grains (2–5m). The densification behaviour, composition and phases in the sintered product were studied as a function of the sintering parameters and the initial composition. Typically, 50% of the -phase was transformed to the -phase.  相似文献

The ratio of nuclear saturation magnetization and superconducting critical field, 0 M sat / B S0*, classifies the strength of mutual influence of nuclear magnetism and superconductivity. In order to investigate the interplay of both phenomena for the three distinct cases 1, 1, and 1 we have measured the ac susceptibility of Al, of the intermetallic compound AuIn 2 , and of the metal hydride TiH 2.07 at ultralow temperatures, 17 K T 1 K, as function of static field 0 B 15 mT. For Al, the interplay enables an absolute measurement of the nuclear magnetization. For AuIn 2 , we get a steep decrease of B S (T) and a broadening of the superconducting transition in its nuclear ferromagnetic phase. Surprisingly, the nuclear ferromagnetic state coexists with type-I superconductivity in AuIn 2. The metal hydride TiH 2.07 , which is under present investigation, is a good candidate to show reentrant superconductivity.  相似文献

Based on the assumption that a phase-slip center in a clean quasi-one-dimensional superconductor excites a collective oscillation, the time-averaged value of the electrochemical potential of quasiparticles is calculated. At larger distances from the phase-slip center, swings below (or above) the electrochemical potential p of the Cooper pairs. This makes it possible to understand the unexpected results of previous measurements.  相似文献

Wire cutting involves fracture, plastic deformation and surface friction effects so that, in principle, it provides a method for determining parameters for all these properties. This paper describes an analysis in terms of the fracture toughness, G c, the yield stress, y, and the coefficient of friction, . By measuring the cutting force as a function of wire diameter, G c and (1 + )y can be found. These values are compared with direct measurements in notched bending for G c, in simple compression for and y, and in sliding tests for . A comparison of values obtained for a range of cheeses shows encouraging agreement.  相似文献

We have developed a surface laser-light scattering apparatus to measure simultaneously surface tension and kinematic viscosity. In this method, we can obtain the surface properties by the laser heterodyne detection of light scattered from thermally excited capillary waves (called ripplon), which are typically of low amplitude (1 nm) and a characteristic wavelength (100m). Two gratings (d=100 and 200m) were employed to select the wave number of the capillary waves and to produce a reference beam for heterodyne detection. We have measured ac susceptibility, nuclear magnetic resonance, and nuclear heat capacity of two PtFe x samples with concentrations of magnetic impurities x = 11 ppm and 41 ppm at magnetic fields (0 ± 0.05) mTB248 mT. The susceptibility data have been measured at temperatures of 0.3 KT100 mK, no hint for nuclear magnetic ordering could be detected to a temperature of 0.3 K. The nuclear heat capacity data taken at 1.4 KT10 mK show enhanced values which scale with x at low polarization. This effect is described by a model assuming an internal magnetic field caused by the impurities. No indication for nuclear magnetic ordering could be detected to 1.4 K. The nuclear magnetic resonance experiments have been performed on these samples at 0.8 KT0.5 mK and 2.5 mTB22.8 mT as well as on three other samples with x = 5, 10, 31 ppm in a different setup at 40 KT0.5 mK and at 5.4 mTB200 mT. Spin-lattice and effective spin-spin relaxation times 1and 2 * of 195 Pt strongly depend on x and on the external magnetic field. No temperature dependence of 1and 2 * could be detected and the NMR data, too, give no hint for nuclear magnetic ordering to 0.8 K.  相似文献

Single-crystals of -Al2O3 were subjected to multi-stage polishing with diamond powder of successively decreasing grain size. After each stage of polishing, the infrared reflection spectra were recorded and the nanosecond laser resistance at 1.06 m was measured. The laser induced damage data were also obtained for natural face, annealed and ion-etched surfaces. It was shown that (i) disorder of the crystal structure affects the optical resistance, resulting in a decrease of damage threshold, and (ii) the surface layer disturbed by grinding retains a memory of the initial structure. The multi-pulse sub-threshold laser irradiation which leads, finally, to macroscopic damage of a sample, stimulates the process of structural ordering, together with the formation of dangerous local defects.  相似文献

Core–clad optical fibers were fabricated from high-purity As2S1.5Se1.5 glass, and their properties were studied. The arsenic sulfo-selenide was prepared by melting a mixture of high-purity arsenic monosulfide, arsenic, and selenium. Optical fibers with core/clad diameters of 300/400 and 200/400 m were fabricated by the double-crucible method. The minimum loss was found to be 60 ± 20 dB/km at 4.8 m and 200–300 dB/km between 4 and 6 m. The numerical aperture of the fibers was 0.28. A 1.5-m-long section of the fiber transmitted 6-W CO laser radiation. The average bending strength of the 400-m-diameter fibers was 0.8 GPa.  相似文献

Using the *-model and the Rothwarf-Taylor equations, this paper predicts that a superconductor will oscillate between two nonequilibrium superconducting states with different energy gaps when quasiparticles are injected at the edge of the energy gap through the tunneling effect. The main sources of origin of this oscillation are the quasiparticle injection at the gap edge and the existance of recombination phonons with energy = 2(n). Under certain nonequilibrium conditions, the recombination phonon system does not take part in Cooper pair-breaking processes and can further stimulate the quasiparticles to recombine into pairs. The uncertainty Np of the number N pof Cooper pairs has the same order of magnitude as N pitself in such an oscillating superconductor, so that the phase of the wave function has a definite value. If superconducting weak coupling is formed between such two oscillating superconductors, this system should be described in the -representation.  相似文献

The dielectric properties of some glass-ceramic-on-metal substrates have been determined over the frequency range 500 Hz to 5 MHz using a.c. bridge techniques. The substrates consisted of cordierite-based glass-ceramics screen printed on molybdenum. For glass layers of thickness greater than 100 m both the permittivity, and the dielectric loss, , are frequency independent over this frequency range at room temperature giving the value of =6.5 and tan =8×10–3; the room-temperature data are consistent with the universal law of dielectric response. The variation of permittivity with temperature has also been examined and, below 120 °C, the temperature coefficient [(–1) (+2)]–1 (/T)p, was found to be 1.3×10–5 K–1. The results are compared with those previously reported for Al2O3 and AIN substrates.  相似文献

A superconductor / normal conductor potential probe pair was used to measure differences between the time-averaged electrochemical potentials p of Cooper pairs and of quasiparticle excitations caused by a phase-slip center in several experimental situations. The results can only be understood by assuming that at a larger distance from the phase-slip center differs from the proposal of Skocpol, Beasley, and Tinkham by showing a swinging over or swinging below p . We propose a modified slope of as a function of site. Possible explanations are discussed. The multiple-contact samples used also allow the study of the influence of phase-slip centers already present on the relaxation of nonequilibrium quasiparticles.  相似文献

The constitution of the Ni-Al-Ru system has been investigated in the range 0 to 50 at% Al. Isothermal sections at 1523 and 1273 K have been determined using microstructural observations, electron probe microanalysis and X-ray diffraction. The phases present were: nickel-based solid solution (); (based on Ni3Al); solid solutions based on NiAl and RuAl, respectively (designated 1 and 2), and ruthenium-based solid solution (Ru). The maximum solubility of Ru in was 5 at%. 1, and 2 show extensive range of solubilities, namely up to 20at% Ru in 1 and up to 25 to 35 at% Ni in 2. Three-phase equilibrium between , 2 and (Ru) existed at 1523 and 1273 K. Also at 1523 K, three-phase equilibria existed between , and 1 and ,1 and 2, while at 1273 K, the equilibria were between , 1,2 and , , 2 indicating the occurrence of a reaction +1, +2 at a temperature between 1523 and 1273 K. Liquidus features have been deduced from data on as-solidified structures. Lattice parameter data and hardnesses are also reported.  相似文献
